FC 24 Team of the Season Lucas Vazquez Player Review - Cop or Flop?

I have some good memories with the previous TOTS Vazquez from FIFA 21, So went into this review with high hopes!

It's an interesting SBC even without playing a game with the item given the fact it's a live item with likely upgrades and the fact he can be upgraded instantly using the Live TOTS Upgrade Evo.

Lucas went into the squad as a right back for me but he certainly looks capable of doing a job further forward (spoiler alert...he can!), He looks perfect for a RM role in the 352 so for those of you who play with a 3-at the back formation this could be ideal!

The chemstyle choice here seems easy you have to go anchor for that strength boost if using him as a RB, however if you are feeling adventurous and plan on using him in RW Hunter or Marksman could be options.

We've gone from reviewing an expensive Havertz at 1.2m to this Vazquez who comes in at a tiny fraction of the previous, this SBC will cost you around 100,000 coins and that has made the item extremely popular, near a 90% upvote!

How did he perform in-game?

+ Passing, this is the first thing that has to be talked about because not only he is an elite crosser but his general distribution is also very notable, this card could absolutely do a job as a CM.
+ Pace, Yeah it'll come as no surprise that he's quick, notably not as quick as TOTS Havertz who seems to have broken pace but still quick enough to catch most players.
+ Shooting, now when I say the shooting is a positive it's relative to his position. If he was an out-and-out forward I wouldn't be saying it's anything special but given it's a right back the shooting on it is great, especially the cross goal power shots.
+ Interceptions, with him having jockey+ he intercepts alot! Just holding off from committing in to a challenge and waiting to steal the ball from the next pass.
- Strength, You could have seen this coming just by looking at his in-game stats, he has a 70 rating here on his base item which is boosted to 78 when given the anchor chem style but in game he's still very weak, even with the related playstyles.

Vazquez - Cop or Flop?

I think this is an easy cop and I'd imagine most people have completed this SBC already given its popularity, the fact it's already a very good right back and has not just the potential to get better through live upgrades but also an evo for an instant upgrade just makes the 100,000 coin price tag seem fantastic value.
