FC 24 Frauen Bundesliga Team of The Season Prediction

A dominant season from Munich, who currently sit unbeaten, is showcased with no less than eight inclusions. Fellow powerhouses Wolfsburg take the majority of the remaining spots while several youngsters force themselves into the side.

Maria-Luisa Grohs - GK - 79 > 92 OVR

While it is true that Grohs has had significantly less work to do than other keepers in the division when called upon she has been fantastic. With just six goals conceded and 31 saves made Groh’s save percentage is significantly higher than her counterparts. So it would be extremely unfair if she missed out due to the quality of her backline.

Katharina Nascheneng - LB - 83 > 92 OVR

We start the defence with one of the easiest decisions to make in the entire squad. Naschenseng has managed as many attacking contributions as goals conceded this season. Three goals and three assists from the LB position while only conceding on six occasions. She has among the highest average ratings so is a lock for this side.

Lena Ostermeier - CB - 76 > 92 OVR

Heading away from Bayern Munich, at least temporarily we have Ostermeier. Essen have impressed on the defensive side of the game especially with Lena being a huge reason for that. She leads both the interception and tackle charts all while only conceding on 18 occasions this season.

Glodis Perla Viggósdóttir - CB - 83 > 93 OVR

Viggósdóttir has been a regular for Munich this season, starting all eighteen of their matches so far. With the already-mentioned defensive record on display, it's practically inevitable that at least one central defender will end up making the side. I expect that to be the Icelandic international who commands the backline week in and week out.

Giulia Gwinn - RB - 83 > 92 OVR

While I can’t just go and predict the entire Munich squad it is extremely difficult to leave players out on a position-by-position basis. Gwinn has by far been the best RB in the division but the Munich players continue to tally up. I have eight in total which is almost as dominant as they've been this season. Gwinn has recorded three goals and an assist to go alongside just six goals conceded for the season.

Klara Buhl - LM - 83 > 92 OVR

Currently leading the assist charts Buhl is yet another player likely to make the side from Munich. The German midfielder has managed three goals and eight assists from seventeen matches with her versatility proving a major asset for the German side.

Georgia Stanway - CDM - 84 > 95 OVR

Stanway has made strides towards being named player of the season with her consistent performances impressing for Munich who are currently unbeaten with just four games of the season remaining. Munich have conceded just six goals this season and although Stanway plays a defensive role she has also chipped in with both four goals and four assists.

Lena Oberdorf - CM - 87 > 95 OVR

A name you were probably expecting to feature in this side after receiving a TOTY position is Oberdorf. The German midfielder is fantastic as what she does and although Wolfsburg have not really put any pressure on Munich this season Oberdorf is still a lock for this squad. Oberdorf will make the switch the Bayern in the summer having already agreed on a deal for the club as Munich look to dominate the division going forward.

Pernille Harder - RM - 84 > 93 OVR

Harders primary position is debatable with both CAM and RM being occupied regularly but I would expect the other position to be a secondary anyway. Regardless of what EA decide the Danish midfielder will likely feature after providing five goals and four assists for the unbeaten Munich this season.

Ewa Pajor - ST - 87 > 94 OVR

Pajor leads the goalscoring chart with a rather modest twelve goals to her name, three ahead of second place. While in desperate need of a weak foot upgrade should the Polish striker receive it this will become a very usable card, just a shame about linking her.

Alexandra Popp - ST - 88 > 95 OVR

It seems ludicrous that I am even contemplating a striker with five goals making TOTS but that is likely the reality with Popp. The German forward does have an additional six assists to her name but goals are the main comparison within forwards. Popp also made TOTY so EA will be looking towards her again here. It’s still been a strong campaign for Popp in fairness but five goals for an inclusion just seems bizarre in my eyes.

Substitutes

Jana Feldkamp - CB - 79 > 90 OVR

While it's clear to see that both Munich and Wolfsburg are miles ahead in terms of quality to other sides in the division Hoffenheim will be very happy with what they have achieved this season. When it comes to central defenders assists are not something you would associate them with but Feldkamp has managed to record five this season.

Barbara Dunst - CM - 79 > 89 OVR

Frankfurt looked set to compete at the very top during the first half of the season, the second half showed the opposite though with four losses in their last six seeing the German club drop off. Dunst has been their main player throughout, controlling the middle of the park while recording an impressive five goals and four assists.

Sarah Zadrazil - CDM - 80 > 91 OVR

Behind every successful side, there are a couple of players that do the dirty work. While they don’t claim the headlines for their goals and assists they are crucial to a side's functionality. Zadrazil is the perfect example in this Munich side. While she has no offensive contributions without her there is no way that the defensive record would be as good as it is. Zadrazil is right up there in terms of defensive statistics which for a side so dominant shows her importance to Munich.

Natasha Kowalski - CAM - 74 > 89 OVR

While Essen are in sixth position, in a twelve-team division they still look set to receive two TOTS items. Kowalski is the second after the youngster has impressed throughout. Recording six goals and four assists you would expect the bigger sides in the division to keep a keen eye on her.

Lea Karolina Vilhjálmsdóttir - CAM - 77 > 91 OVR

Another youngster who is impressing this season is Vilhjálmsdóttir. The Icelandic midfielder can play anywhere across the middle of the park and could easily be included as either LW or CAM. With five goals and six assists to her name alongside a slight preference EA have shown to her, I would be surprised to see Vilhjálmsdóttir miss out.

Vanessa Fudalla - ST - 72 > 89 OVR

Leipzig have seriously struggled for goals this season, a large reason as to why they face a relegation battle heading into the final weeks of the season. Fudalla has been pivotal for them and without her would likely already be relegated. With eight goals she is joint third in the goalscoring charts, scoring almost half of Leipzig’s goals.

Lea Schuller - ST - 86 > 93 OVR

While you could argue Schuller’s starting line-up position with both Wolfsburg options being a higher base overall I would expect it to be the bench for Schuller. The Munich striker is second in the goalscoring ranks with nine to her name. An additional five assists puts her behind only Pajor in terms of overall attacking contributions.
