I played with pacy CB's for a while, trying yo fit the meta. however players like diallo, Joe Gomez and Hermoso all had the same problem, when getting close to the attackers, they would just stand there. Even when I pressed the tackle button, they would rarely get ball. This guy is different! he is not the fastest (even with shadow) but he more than makes up for it, by always marking closely, and being extremly good at standing tackles even without me pressing anything, when the striker gets close to him, he takes the ball! For me it was also very important Thiago Silva can pass the ball out from the back, to not get run over by high pressure teams.

Defending! 99 interseptions, 99 marking and 95 standing and 99 sliding tackle! (with shadow)
Dribling - his composure is sooo good, and his agility feels a lot better than 67.
Passing - 82 long and short passing, he will always make a safe, precise pass clearing it out of the backline.
Links - brazil, PSG. need I say more? Marquinhos is also a beast!

Pace - this is really the only downside I see to him. If you pair him with a faster CB or have a deep standing defence it really don't matter.

Surprisingly Good

Used the base version during draft and was impressed (I only conceded 3 goals throughout) so I thought I'd give the POTM a chance:The pace was good enough to work with when coupled with his positioning and tackling, his defensive performances were consistently 10's which in this current game is a rarity of itself. Solid defender

I packed Alisson untradable and decided to give Thiago Silva a try. I played about 70 Matches he managed to get 2 Goals and 3 assists (just 5 yellow cards).After he break in he played very good. Positioning and standing tackle is top class, passing also. Strength is solid but nothing to special, most players get pushed away by him.He plays good if you are patient in defending.
