95 - TOTS
This card is simply amazing. He is an endgame CB. He is very good like this is a defender you can trust in your backline.I have a Shadow on him but going to put Catalyst. His tackling is always accurate and he will body anyone in his way. I suggest this card if you can link him up. I currently have him paired with TOTS Smalling and they are perfect together.

None except maybe links
- He is up there with TOTY De ligt, FB Boateng, TOTS Ramos. His stand tackles are good and He is really fast in interceptions.
- He can Body almost every attacker (given his strength and Body type).
- I used a shadow on him and he does the job of catching up with all the meta pace players (obviously not 85th minute substitutions)
- Just don't try to dribble with him and pass the ball with minimum touches possible
- Stand tackle
- Body type and Ingame stock
- Pace with shadow
- Great Physicals
- Simply Meta CB
Dribbling and a bit heavy on turns during bad game play
For 100k you'll be hard pushed to find a better CB but he is not de Ligt TOTY - This sounds obvious but if you can afford him, get him instead. He links better and he's an echelon above De Vrij.
Onto De Vrij, he is incredible solid. I play with an Anchor chem on him (tried Catalyst to start with but changed this after a few games) and he is good enough to dispossess Mbappé/Ben Yedder type players who also tend not to be able to get round him due to his size. He doesn't have the sprint speed to catch up with players if they get beyond him but his interceptions and defensive awareness means this is very rare that he can't cut out the through ball.
In terms of links, I'm lucky I play with a Serie A team, Whilst TOTS Handanovic is good, he's not elite. If you can afford Van Der Saar (89) go for him or any of the other obvious Dutch icons and VvD etc. Has hot links with De Ligt and Hateboer.
General defending - He's an end game player who is rarely caught out. 9/10 every game.
Has balanced sprint and accelleration unlike a lot of the Serie A Tots (Smaldini I'm looking at you) which makes it easier to judge his chem style.
4* WF means passing is generally good especially to FB, or CDM etc. 50/50 on longer passes but does have 3 assists from breaking up an attack and playing a long through ball to countering CAM/ST.
Once every few games or so he seems to get caught out of position being overly aggressive in trying to close down an onrushing attacker. He's on conservative interceptions for me which has meant it's reduced from probably once every other but be aware.
Don't dribble with him
Needing a CB with a strong link to Mid VDS, I purchased the best one for a reasonable price being TOTS De Vrij. With an anchor, this card is the "perfect" CB and once he has the ball he has good enough stats to get the ball out to the CDM/CMs in a 4-1-2-1-2(2). The stand out stat for this card is the 99 Def. Awareness as he always seems to be in the right place with the defensive four. I would definitely recommend purchasing this card to link with a VVD or VDS or even TOTS Martinez (position converted), as De Vrij's price can't crash too much due to his rating.
- Defensive Awareness (right place right time)
- Pace
- Size
- Ball Control
- Composure
- 4* Weak Foot
- Won't make the amazing stretching stand tackles that a real top end CB would e.g. Sergio Ramos, VVD, Moments Campbell.
