FC 24 Team of the Season Sorloth Player Review - Cop or Flop?

Finally! Sorloth has arrived in Ultimate Team with his Team of the Season item... I was beginning to think he'd been forgotten about, It's kind of crazy that he wasn't in the La Liga Team of the Season squad given he is the top goal scorer of the league with 23 goals at the time of this article.

Following on from above I was kind of disappointed to see him only get a 92 overall given the season he has had but still it's a nice-looking item with some very useful playstyles.

Sorloth went into the ST sport in the 4321 formation replacing Aubameyang, Options for chem styles include Engine and Finisher but I opted for Finisher and it meant his shooting would get a notable boost.

A 2 SBC requirement is a breath of fresh air, and so is the price tag of just 75,000 coins, which has led to him been quite popular!

How did he perform in-game?

Now for the fun part, the in-game performance analysis and there are plenty of positives to discuss because not only was this an effective in-game item but it was also an enjoyable one to use!

+ Pace, this is mainly referring to the sprint speed because once he gets going he feels very quick and at that point he's hard to stop, he does have a pace split though which does mean it takes him a few yards to get to that top speed.

+ Shooting, wow. He is an out-and-out goalscorer, a great finisher and the playstyles he has really help with this! He has the normal version of every scoring playstyle except Deadball, and on top of that he also has Trivela+ and Aerial+, so he's pretty much a threat from anywhere and even with all that there is still the 5 star weak foot to help out too! I was incredibly impressed with his goalscoring ability!

+ Physicals, They are pretty much perfect he is a menace in game!

+ Positioning, great natural runs and easy to find.

/ Dribbling - I'll say this, for a player of his size he actually dribbles really well, but in the grand scheme of things his dribbling isn't on the level of other high-rated strikers but that is understandable given he is 6'5, still his dribbling is not a concern and like I said actually pretty good for a player that big.

/ Long Passing, there isn't really too much wrong with this item it's short passing and link-up play is really good but his long balls are not the best.

- But in all seriousness a really good and fun item to try out, and since he is that cheap I'd definitely recommend giving him a go as even if you don't start him he'd be a great off-the-bench option! If you like Golazo Drogba, you're going to be a big fan of this card too...
