I decided to go big as I felt my midfield lacked both discipline and a leader. Spending 2 million coins on an untradeable icon is not the obvious choice and I would under no circumstance say that Vieira represent value for coins at all, but what a player he is.
If you pick up Vieira you don't get a player - you get an absolutely unstoppable tank!
The fact that he is somehow lazy on the offensive end is beneficial in my opinion. He is not the most creative midfielder out there so he would most likely not contribute hugely on the offensive end after all, at least not on my team.
PACE: He is more than fast enough to be competitive in terms of pace against any CAM in the first place. If you hook him up with a shadow/catalyst he could also be able to stop some of the faster attackers too. Overall he is very fast to be that strong and tall and the fact that there's no big gap between acceleration and sprint speed makes him even better in my opinion.
SHOOTING: I am not gonna lie but this is his absolute weakness. I literally can't believe they placed his shooting base stat in the eighties as it feels more like in the sixties in game. However if you fire some rockets from outside the box you might end up getting lucky. I have not cashed in at this at any point though.
PASSING: The way many opponents have structured their teams lets Vieira work very much in peace when it comes to passing. However the way I play him is just pushing the ball up the field to one of my outside CM's and then his passing stats ain't incredibly important after all. On the other hand Vieira is a reliable passer and receiver of the ball.
DRIBBLING: His actual dribbling is totally irrelevant the way I play him but his ball control and composure is amazing. Both his balance and agility pretty much sucks. The trick you wanna play about the balance is being ready to push of the pressing opponent before he makes the tackle (press L2/LT2).
DEFENDING: Amazing. Nothing to complain about.
PHYSICAL: Amazing. Nothing to complain about.
