In the words of Owen Wilson 'WOW', if I had to sum Maldini in one word it's just elite no defender in the game comes near his level. I am in no way a great defender on FIFA 18 but this guy makes me one, it's like he has a force field that just drags players towards him and he just steals the ball without even pressing a button he is broken. I have him paired up with prime Rio Ferdinand who is brilliant, but no Maldini. Maldini is that good that if Oscar Pistorious had him in his defence, well he wouldn't be in a South African prison right now that's for sure. Now lets get done to the pros and cons, well just pros..

PACE - for a CB this guy is rapid, perfect if your opponent tries a quick counter attack can get back very quick and eradicate the danger. I cannot recall a single attacker outpacing Maldini, I do have the shadow chem style applied to his card though.

PASSING - superb in possession, and distributes the ball very well short and long. Don't have a single complaint in this department, especially considering he is a CB.

PHYSICAL - A monster, 6 foot 1 and 85 strength? Nah. Feels 6 foot 5 with 99 strength in game, attackers just run into him and it always ends up the same him with the ball and the attacker on the ground its like Sergio Ramos vs Mo Salah all over again.. too soon?

DEFENDING - Now this is the one, there is no player in fifa 18 that I have used that comes near Maldini in this department he is the ultimate defender, his slide tackles are by far the best when goes into slide tackles it's like he grows 2 metres he fills the ground and there is no getting past him, I love slide tackling with this card because he nearly always executes them perfectly in 67 games he has received no red cards and only 3 yellow cards and I am throwing this guy into slide tackles left, right and center, his standing tackles are amazing also just so easily gets possession I have never had such fun with a defender since the days of FIFA 13 with the brazilian trio of Santana, Dede and Luiz.

Price - He is expensive, as an SBC or to buy off the market but if you can afford him and are very happy with your squad in other areas than I promise this guy will improve your team and you won't even think about how much he cost you.
