I wasn't quiet sure if it is actually worth to pay half a million on a CM which has really weak defending. I played him as a RCM in the 4-1-2-1-2 (2) Formation. In 16 matches Pogba scored 7 goals and also had 7 assists. I played him with Shadow to boost his Pace and Defending. All I can say is, he is worth his 500K. He is an allrounder and can do it all!
His pace: For some reason his 74 Pace (boosted with Shadow) feels like 90. Once you start running with him there's no way someone catches him and gets him away from the ball
His shooting: For some reason he only has 79 Shooting but every long shot finds a way to the goal and is at least a danger for the opponent
His passing: Solid passing, nothing special.
His dribbling: He really feels like 84 dribbling. He always is really close to the ball so you can do sharp movements with him and still keep the ball
His defending/physics: Due to his physics he can push away any player, doesn't matter who. I'd suggest playing him more offensively but if you play him as a CDM, he catches any player and pushes him away from the ball.
Skills, Weak Foot, etc.: His five star skills are also a attitude that make him special. If you can skill, it's worth doing it as his dribbling is good and fits to it really good. His left foot feel like his right one. Due to his for stars weak foot you can also score long shots with it. I realized that Pogba supported my offense quiet massively. Maybe because he has H/M work rates but he is always up front but also in the midfield when you need him. That helps you to improve your attacking play.
There aren't any major cons I realized.
Defending: I didn't see any problem with his 68 defending as you can boost it with Shadow. However it might get a problem if you try another chemistry style.
Work rates: To me this wasn't a problem, but if you play Pogba as a CDM, you might realize that he's up front almost all the time. For sure he makes his way back to midfield but doesn't really help as a CDM. He simply plays his role as a CM (between CDM and CAM).
I used Pogba as CAM in 4231 he main goal was to setup play and that i can pass to him all the time. He is strong tall and has good dribbling which enable him to even get the ball under controll if he is marked. Since he has good long and short passing he can always play it behind the defence line to get martial or dembele going for the counter attacks. His shots sometimes can be insane but sometimes fail horrible keep in mind since he doesnt have the most precise longshots he can still power it in near corner if you get to know when to shot on near or far corner he becomes realy deadly inside 20 to 16 meters. His finishing is ok since he has good shotpower and composure. Aswell as he will score some heading goals if you manage to find him with croses. 40(20inWL+20inSeasons) Games 34 Goals 20 Assists sry for bad english am not native

I know there is an upgraded 88 version of Pogba. But I've decided to buy this first one.
My in-game first impression was: He doesn't defend.
As many users tries him with Hunter chemistry style, I've tried too. Unsuccessfully. The pace and shooting boost by the hunter card is very good, but not resolve the defensive problem. He has only 68 of defence.
So, I tried SHADOW on him. BANG! THAT'S IT! Now I have decent pace (equals to hunter) and a HUGE defensive boost, jumping from 68 to 81, also, +1 of dribbling.
Now he really runs AND use his physical+defence to get the ball easily throwing the opponents out of the corners. By using shadow, his shooting is not affected, but still acceptable, 79.
I do not use him as a CAM because I have Mr. Erikmagicsen 88. He does de job. Sorry, Kevin De Bruyne.
Finally, if you are looking for a strong and tall midfielder player and have enough coins for that, go for Pogba only with SHADOW. Otherwise you will be pissed because of his low defensive stats.
I am planning to upgrade him to the 88 version as soon as I finish my Premiere League team.
- STRONG. He is strong. I mentioned how strong he is? He wins every air fight too.
- PASSING and DRIBBLING. Very good passer at short or long distances. He always will search an empty spot to receive the ball. 5* Skill Moves, he does almost any skill move you need.
- SHOOTING. Using SHADOW on him, does not affect his shooting, however, still very good and powerful. Do not underrate this 79 shooting stats.
- PACE. Low pace without SHADOW or HUNTER. He needs more, unless you use him as a CDM. (USE SHADOW, YOU'LL NOT REGRET)
- DEFENCE. Low defence without SHADOW. If you are using it as a CM or CDM, you MUST use SHADOW on him. Otherwise, as a CAM, you can use HUNTER that fits better on this position.
Hes the best non icon CM in the game,i had my doubt when i looked at hes 400k+ price tag but habing used vidal,naingolan and inform tolisso i must say Pogba is better,hes impossible to knockoff the ball,hes also a beast in both boxes in the air,if u have a corner aim for him and if ur oppoent has an ariel danger use pogba to mark him,hes long shots as well! everything goes in or draws out a top class save from keepers,hes passing and vision are both fantastic hes weight of pass is perfect along with hes positioning he works best at left right CM or in CAM do not use him defensively he can do a job but hes not the best and that is a waste of hes ability,no card is perfect however he does have a few downsides,first is finishing it not the best even with chem styles if ur 1 on 1 i suggest avoid using low drivens and instead use hes high shot power to shot across the keeper,and hes balance he doesnt turn well,and lastly hes accelaration once he gets to top speed hes a tank near impossible to stop,but takes ages to get there
