When i was building my team i was looking for a LB i saw on the market a fresh Zanetti for only 430k (xbox one) and i thought... why not give it a go? I may only loose tax and thats all. Before that i used Jordi Alba and Theo Hernandez at LB and i liked both of them, but now i so used to the legend El Tractor, i do not want to switch back.

Why i like him so much?

FIrstly, his workrates, High-High. I love it. Because the game works like, even if you set your fullbacks to stay back while attacking, they still will go up, nothing you can do about it, but with high-high they are more promt to run back than other wingbacks!

Secondly, his pace(88) is good enough, and with a shadow chem style its not just good... its insane(98)! No problem in the pace department!

Thirdly, his defending(97) (with the mentioned chem style) is above 90, he can go against any opposition!

Fourthly, his passing(82), be it short(87)- or longpass(85), crosses(87) is high enough at basic, you can easily whip in crosses to your strikers.

His stamina with 92 ables him to last trough 120 minutes and also his dribbling is good with 87 ball control and 84 reactions and composure so he can run up on the sides in a counter attack.

There are some minor negatives, but nothing that can't be solved with a chem style.

The first which can easily be solved by an anchor chem style is his strength(85) and aggression(92). They are avarage, but out on the wings, against weaker wingers it's okay.

His shooting is bad(59), do not even try shoot with him, it's pointless. In my club he is the corner taker because of his great crossing stat, but if you want to whip your ball to your LB in a corner situation, he is not able to score longshots. Or any goals tbh.

The last negative stat is his jumping(52). I don't know why its so low, as his heading accuracy is high, but his height at 178cm seems a lot bigger ingame and he most of the times won the headers for me. So... i just don't understand how it works... it's EA magic.

In conclusion

I like him. A lot. Yes, it's a lot of coin for a LB, so do not buy him if you are short on coins. It should be your last position to buy someone big, if you are missing good strikers, midfielders or CBs, then do not buy him. Only if you have a good, solid team and you look for something special for LB and do not want to pay a million for an SBC Roberto Carlos.

Okay so I packed 87 zanetti in the guaranteed base icon pack from the fut birthday sbcs. Took a gamble as it cost me 150K plus players in club and i am now left with 10K and an average bpl squad. Obviously i was hoping for one of the top players ie: ronaldo, pele or maradona. But i was thinking this is unlikely. When i opened the pack and saw zanetti i was a bit disappointed as for me this was a high cost sbc. However my friend had told me he was a good pack so i decided to try him about for a few games instead of submitting him in a prime icon sbc. And omg this is the best fut decision ive ever made. Ive played 20 games so far with him in online seasons (div 3 and 4) and he has been insane. Ive used toty marcelo (in an online draft) but this zanetti surpasses him by far. Yes looking at his stats he does not seem too good but apply a shadow chemistry style and you have one of the best full backs in the game. This boosts him to 98 pace (with 99 acceleration) and 97 defending (99 standing tackle and 98 sliding) combined with his 95 YES 95 in game stamina he is insane. He can dribble all the way up the pitch, making overlapping runs on mane, and cross it into the box (DO NOT SHOOT WITH THIS GUY, 59 SHOOTING MEANS VERY BAD) but his crossing is great and if you loose the ball he will run all the way back without loosing much energy and tackle any high rated attacker.

I would definitely recommend buying this guy if you have a spare 350k, he makes any team complete and trust me, is worth much more than spending a mil on prime roberto carlos.

Always been looking for a fast lb to match people who play speed stars like martial on the right side of their attack. I tried Alba, Alaba and a couple of others but Zanetti was the solution to this. His workrates allows you to overlap to create more options to attack. His crossing is amazing too if you've a target man or a good header swing the ball into the box.
