Great speedster, excellent dribbler, good passer, that's for sure. He can create a lot of chances. That's for the pros.
But there are a lot of cons : way too easily pushed off the ball by strong defenders (even with a marksman card) and very inconsistent in front of goal (takes good shots, but most of them are stopped because not precise enough). I have to say I tested him on Week end League and squad battles in Legendary diff, where the opposition has most of the time a very good defense.
But overall, I was disappointed a lot with a card that is still very expensive. I expected a real game changer, when I only got a good speedster. I previously had "Snake" Mahrez IF and found him as good as him.
To conclude, I don't recommend using Sterling SIF as a RF in a 4321, as I did. He may fit better as a RW in a 433.
Excellent dribbling skills (especially speed dribbling).
Good pass and correct cross.
Inconsistent when in comes to shooting (despite chem style boost).
Gets very easily pushed off the ball (looses one-on-ones against strong defenders).
Not that good at defending.
I used Sterling SIF as replacement for Willian and Mkhitaryan. Aside from the speed increase I had so many misses on target. The keeper either takes the ball or the bal goes out of play. I took me 5 games to score my first goal with him and with Willian I score at least 1-2 goals per game.
I used him in a 4-3-2-1 formation as RF.
Very inconsistent shooting, even with shooting stats increased due to chem boost.
very weak, can be easily pushed of the ball.
Well, he is a upgrade comparing to mkhitaryan, his speed is amazing expecially when he has his own running style( feels so smooth) but not worth 230k of what i paid, he misses to much goals and his passing is iffy. The only problem is that their is no one better then him at the moment for the RW position in the PL or else he would of been gone.
- PRICE ( OVER 240K)
I bought this guy for around 190k (before he dropped) mostly as an investment. I had a OTW Salah at RW as I play variants of 4-3-3.
Last week I though I'd try him out. And then I realised what I was missing!
He seemed smoother than OTW Salah. His weak foot feels 4/5 star- he scored 4 of his goals with his left and one outside the box.
I prefer a right footed player on the right due to the driven shot being so OP and he's awesome- even on basic. Thinking of putting a deadeye on him.
-Weak foot (really)
-Physicality(can get muscled off the ball)
SIF sterling was the second BPL winger i have used (Willian being the first). I had very high hopes and excitement hoping that he would perform in game like he does in real life (godly). My first 5 games with him i had 11 goals and 7 assists. He was very surprising and worked very well with my tactics and formation along with the other players. Though reading some of the previous reviews, i guess he is for some and not for everyone (definitely for me). This will be a very honest and fair review for this card.
He has many pros. Them being his:
4 star skills
finishing (to an extent)
passing (to an extent)
His cons are:
3 star WF (what a car he would be with 4 star WF)
his running style can be "distracting".
