Why is it, that Muller always gets shunned? Everyone i hear says he is the worst high rated player. Why? Because you cant be a pace whore with him? I just can't understand and now i am here to shed some light on why this card is 86 rated! Important note! This review is based on a Müller, used with Hawk chem style! All the stats i list and mention are boosted by the chem style!

Let's get the negatives out of the way first shall we?

Balance and strength at 72, so he can be pushed off the ball and fall over if meets with strong defenders so keep that in mind.

Speed. He's not the quickest yes. His acceleration is good but reaches his top speed fast so you will need to supply his hunger for goals with wingers or a striker partner because believe me... his hunger can only be satisfied with hattricks!

Thats all the negatives i can muster because he was like a machine in front so let's jump into the positives!

Shooting. 99 positioning, 92 finishing, 83 composure. In front of goal, inside of the penalty box, outside the box... he is deadly from anywhere! I only found it hard to score with finesse shot so i did not forced it, instead i used power shots and they were ripping trough the net! Also he has 91 heading and 82 heading accuracy so from corners, crosses he will jump as high as a kangaroo to win the header.

Passing. His basic card is a CF he is both good at the CAM position and in the ST position. But better as a striker. His short passing at 81 is perfect for a striker, to poke the ball to your other striker or wingers or your CAM who are arriving in the second wave to score.

With 92 reaction he's always on the lookout for loose balls, quick interceptions and he has the poacher trait, so he always there to get the ball and score a goal from any chance he can get!

Lets see the stats that are not pros and not cons but needs to be mentioned!

Work rates, High-High. With 90 stamina you don't need to be worried he will tire himself out. I will be honest i was afraid of his work rate but after using him, i was so used to it that i started to like it! He always went after the ball like a little puppy who wants to play with his favorite toy. He always chases the ball back and forth, never just idling around waiting for a pass so he may score a goal or two.

The enemy starts a counter attack? He goes back to help. You got the ball? He sprints forward assisting you in the build up play, always making runs by himself, going into empty space so you can pass to him. He is an engine that runs on cold fusion, never running out of steam! You can count on him to do his outmost so you can win!

I spent 20.250 coins on him and now he goes around 25.500 (xbox one) and he's worth every penny i spent on him. This card is a gem. I paired him up with IF Aranguiz and Robben (check my other reviews on them, shameless plug-in:) So i paired him up with them and they were like a trio that always played together scoring 60+ goals in 30 games!

What should i say? He´s amazing. Many people dont like him. But he´s great. Yes you can´t outpace the defenders. Yes you can´t make fancy skills and destroy the defenders. But is this necessary? Nope. Play Müller like he plays in reality and you will win your game. I play him with a hawk chemistry style. Yeah i said pace isnt necessary. But sometimes its nice to have. ^^ And without hawk he´s a little bit slow and yes its sometimes frustrating. But with hawk you can compensate it a little bit. He still doesnt feel like a 84 pace attacker. But he´s faster than without it and it makes a difference because it gives you the space more you need to score the goal. In combination with his positioning and finishing he´s an amazing striker. But dont forget his passing. Not many strikers have 81 passing and you can feel it if you compare them with Müller. Next to his striker qualities he´s gives great assists. I combined him with Kruse IF as a CF and Müller infront of him. Together they are absolutely deadly. If Müller doesnt score he gives the assist to Kruse and the other way around. But you have to play Müller like in reality. Do weird stuff, run weird ways. And you will have success like müller has in reality. If you always want to outpace the defenders its difficult. Then you should Werner for example. But i noticed its good to combine him with fast wing players like Coman, Sterling or somebody like them. Ribery also worked well but you should try as many players as possible in combination with Müller until you have the right partners. A little bit negative is his heading for me. He´s 186cm so he should be tall enough to score some headers but sadly he doesnt do it. Otherwise it isnt so bad because he will make his goals for sure. I noticed that he isnt a expert for longshots or finesse shots. Dont know why but Kruse is much better in it. All in all Müller is a great striker for his money.

So I was looking for a good striker in the Bundesliga for a long time, I had Werner before and he just didn´t get the job the done when it came down to finishing, also with Reus I already had one quick guy in place.

That´s when I decided to look for positioning, finishing and composure stats as main criteria. Müller checked all those boxes and at that time I was a bit short on coins, so no Lewandowski.

This was one of my best FUT decisions, he finishes everything. He has mediocre stats nearly everywhere, but for some strange reason he feels incredible. In my second team I have 90 Higuain, a clinical finisher, but if I had to choose between them, I´d take Müller all day. Despite other players get to 99 positioning with a hunter, he seems to be even better, he´s always in place, rebound, headers, cutbacks it´s crazy, my Higuain doesn´t do that.

His assists are also consistent, but still, he´s better on the receiving end of a pass or cross. He was a real game changer for my Bundesliga squad, fantastic. I could afford Lewandowski now, but thanks to Müller I can now use that money to improve other parts of the team, he is doing more than a good job.

The only thing I can get out of Higuain, that I missed in Müller, is that he is not strong enough to hold the ball at the edge of the box, when the stronger defenders try to break through his shielding. That´s a thing you can adjust to though, still it takes away a bit of variability.

I enjoy him very much and would recommend him to everyone, I can´t tell you why he is able to do what he does with those stats, but he get´s the job done for sure.
