Hello everyone,

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who got very excited when we saw that Malcom was in the most consistent TOTS this FIFA. I saw his stats and thought I need this card especially since it has 4 * weak foot, which later turned out to seem more like a 3/2* ingame for some reason. Now to actually get into the review;

[Pace] This man is fast really, really, really fast this due to his pace (99 Acceleration, 91 Sprint Speed with Hawk chem style) mixed in with 99 Agility and 95 Balance if you're somewhat of a decent player you should easily get in behind with this card.

[Shooting] Good, nothing more, nothing less. His shooting won't let you down, but don't expect to bang in every shot. Especially not with his right foot which I previously mentioned as being quite a weird thing he has where it feels like he's Robben one game and can't score a single one with his right, and the next game he bangs a volley out of the box in with his right.

[Passing] Unlike the previously mentioned bad right foot with shooting this isn't really seen in his passing. Crosses are good, passes are good.

[Dribbling] Outstanding. With 99 Agility, 95 Balance, 86 Reactions, 90 Ball Control and 94 Dribbling this guy is one of the best when it comes to dribbling. Cutting inside becomes easy as he glides past the opponents defenders, and just when you thought: "Ah crap I'm going to get tackled" he jumps over the defenders legs and slides it in the net.

[Defending] He has 91 heading for a winger, but don't be fooled he doesn't win headers sadly. He can score headers yeah, but only when the cross is good. He also intercepted quite a few balls for me even though his defending stats are all in the 20's, might just be because of his pace.

[Physical] I've gotta say 78 Jumping, 77 Strength and 69 Aggresion (With Hawk chem style) aren't any stats to write home about, yet he seems to bully off fullbacks like Bellerin and Jordi Alba sometimes don't expect anything though because when he does get caught he goes down 9/10 times. 86 Stamina is good, but I personally subbed him out in the 75~ish minute so take that in account when you look at my goals and assists.

[Overall] This is a great card to have in your squad. He doesn't always do what you want to do, but he has something which quite a few players don't have and that is a Fun Factor as I like to call it. What Fun Factor means is that even though he's not always performing on his best (Weird 4* WF thing, Goes down easily, and doesn't win headers) he's fun to use. It's a great feeling when you cut inside and make defenders struggle to keep up.

He was in one of my saved packs, I got him and immediately thought, how much can I sell him for? But with WL upon us I figured I would give him a shot and write a review. Boy let me tell you, I was overly impressed after I figured out how to use him. The first 5 games I played I was doing what people normally do with new fast cards, force the ball to him and try to take on every defender with the sprint button held. Nothing was working(in 5 games, I had 4G 1A, so kinda meh) so then I went back to playing how I normally do and that's when he came alive. He reminded me of Dybala of last year, super clinical, very technical with the ball and just had that magic, not to say Dybala's not good this year, but last year he had something about him.

He always seems to be in the right position I played him at LCAM in a 4231, now on to the Pros/Cons

Malcom is just fantastic, everything is lovely! His pace, his shooting, his movement. I have played him with, Suarez, Kün Agüero and IF Jesus. He will make the perfect run at all time, I have more than double goal contributions to games with Malcom. I have both played him on 10 and 7 chem and I cant feel any difference. His dribbling is like Messi style... is just amazing! The shoot is.... BANG!!! Incredible shooting with is left foot and also with is right foot. Very OP player!

Malcom is one of the best dribblers I've used in FIFA 18. His agility and ability to weave between defenders is absolutely exemplary. He finishes very well on his left foot, with any finesse shot from the edge of the box nestling in the top corner, and any low driven sliding under the keeper's arm. His right foot is consistent as well, but often lacks power. He has a very solid passing ability, especially with shorter-distance passes. He lacks strength and height, as well as an ability to burst in behind the defense; he doesn't get himself into a lot of 1v1's. He is certainly usable as a LS in a 2-striker formation, but I believe he would be best suited as a CAM or LCAM.
