You would think that a 97 rated player would feel somewhat better than a 90 rated one. Well, I am here to tell you that this is definitely not the case with this TOTS De Gea. I have used his 90 rated card for plenty of games before I was "lucky" enough to pack his 97 as an untradable card, and I can say with 100% certainty that this card is no better than his regular gold card.

I think the reason is that if you play WL or the highest divisions, everybody knows exactly which angles to shoot to get a goal. Especially low driven shots. So in competitive play, 97 De Gea cannot stop any more shots than 90 De Gea. Save your coins and spend them on TOTS Son or Lukaku instead.

I had a 50k untradable pack saved for this TOTS. I was so lucky because in this pack i got Roberto Firmino and De Gea. I couldn't afford normal De Gea before so i was super excited to use him but what a let down he was. I played 10 games with him to find out he is absolute garbage. Because he is untradable I continued using him. Now i have 50 games with him but he feels no different from 84 Fährmann. Please do not spend your coins on this De Gea!!!! I tried every chem style but he is sooooo bad. The only pros i found was his longthrower trait and really good kicking. His diving is decent, but almost never catches the ball. I may sound ungratefull but EA just really didn't upgrade this De Gea. DON'T BUY THIS CARD!!

I have packed De Tea from an untradable premium PL players pack and I was thinking to myself "that's my gk sorted for the rest of Fifa 18". I was not disappointed! I have used prime Yashin and you all probably know that card is broken.. Then I have moved on to 87 Ederson, who was decent and I was pleased with him. After packing De Gea, I have played a game and some of the saves he made left me speechless. There were moments where I thought ok that's it he has scored but then out of nowhere this guy saves 100% goal opportunity. I have decided to play one of the games with Emerson again, and I felt the difference De Gea makes straight away. Obviously he is not some magical creature that will save all the shots, that's why I am against spending over 500k for any goalkeeper. However, I have played with many top class goalkeepers in draft modes and in my opinion TOTS De Gea is the best one I have ever used.

I packed this guy in that guaranteed Prem. TOTS pack that I bought for basically 6K coins, so I mean, I'm not upset. With that being said, I cannot emphasize enough just how garbage this card is. I packed him and was exultant... I mean the highest rated goalkeeper in the game! Wow! But I was ready for what was to come considering the reviews he received on his TOTY. I am convinced that his regular card (90 or 91) is 10* better. And trust me, I am not saying he's trash compared to what I expect out of a 97 rated goalkeeper. No, I mean he plays like he is a 65 overall. He has yet to have a full game clean sheet in the 7 games I've played and he lets in at best half the shots on target. He was a simple addition to my team that performs well regularly, so no blame can be placed on the defenders. His animation is just awkward, like his reflexes are good at first, but it takes him WAY too long to get down and actually save the ball. He cannot catch as well. I could go on, but I'm getting tired. Basically, the only purpose he serves in my club is to be a collector's item, a trophy to look back on. I am going to experiment with chemistry styles, so this review may change, but I don't feel confident that it will.

I packed this card in the bpl Guaranteed tots pack and I was so exited because I thought what an upgrade from courtoiurs this is ive used him in 50 games already and I know his strengths and a bad thing his weaknesses he's exactly like his 90 card don't spend 750k on this card, because he's good but not the best.
