Claudio Bravo is excellent value at 50-55k for a top tier EPL keeper. If you can't afford TOTY De Gea or don't like TOTS Courtois, then Claudio is your man!
I had a steady rotation of GK on my secondary EPL squad (my primary team is all TOTS Calcio A), and I couldn't find a fit until Claudio. I tried TOTS Courtois (great diving and hand saves, but no kick save), IF Ederson (fast but frequently failed on long shots and power shots), Lloris, TOTS Pope, Petr Cech, all mediocre. I even tried plugging in TOTS Pavlenka, Handanovic, and Ter Stegen, but it hurt my EPL team chemistry.
Then I decided to take a flyer on FOF Claudio and wow was I amazed. He's basically an upgraded TOTS version of Ederson with way better reactions and kick saves. I know most people would think...wow only 6'0" is not tall enough for my primary keeper, but Claudio's reactions and kick save stat really shine for a small guy. He will run edge to edge to cover the goal and will block most low driven and low finesse shots. He is excellent on 1:1 scenarios from my experience, so long as you pull him early in order to compensate for his lower positioning stat. He also has the same diving and hand stats as Manuel Neuer, so he can also block long shots and mid range shots with minimal issues.
The only concern is during corner kicks or set plays, for which his positioning stat is lower (87 is still not that low). But unless your opponent can regularly score over the wall or regularly beat your CB on corners, you should be ok. I have not yet tried FOF Schmeical but for me, I would rather have Claudio's 95 kick save stat than have one or two more points on diving, handling, or positioning.
If you are looking for a great value at keeper for your EPL squad, look no further than Claudio Bravo!
- 95 kick save! Only TOTY David De Gea and Neuer have this high kick save in FIFA18 which is so important
- 90+ in Diving, Handling, and Reactions...all around great stats
- EPL Chemistry
- Excellent on low driven, low finesse, and long shots
- Supreme value at only 50-55k
- Some would say 87 position would hurt on set plays and corners, but unless your opponent can exploit, or your defending on set plays is suspect, it's not usually an issue
Bravo plays just like the real thing.
Ive played over 10 games and have yet to remember a save he's made.
I swapped from pope because he parried everything but at least he saved things. Gets beaten from anywhere and everywhere. Easy to tuck the ball under.
Think I'm gonna go back to a standard 89 courtois .
Good with feet to dribble up or quick pass
Always beaten in the top corners that pope would get to.
