Quincy Promes can only be described with one word. That word is mental. Quincy Promes is an incredible player that has the ability to score the infamous timed finesse shots from outside the box, as well as being able to score free kicks, low drivens and 1-on-1's. Promes is undeniably one of, if not, the best left winger in La Liga Santander. Promes has 90 pace, meaning he can blitz past any defence without an issue. Promes demonstrates his speed well, when cutting into the box, or running down the line. Combined with his 83 dribbling, he becomes unstoppable on the ball, unless Akinfenwa happens to be defending him. Not to mention, Promes has 5 star skill moves meaning as well as being able to dribble past players, sprint past a defence and score absolute worldies, Promes can also manoever around defenders with ease using skill moves. Promes is an increible player that you need to get your hands on. Promes is essential in any La Liga team and will benefit your team greatly.
So i've bought Promes at the beginning of fifa for 40k coins and I still use him to this day.I can confidently say that he is the best player I've used this year next to Varane. All he does is to get behind the opporent defence and score. He carries me in every game basically. Anyway compared to Rodrigo he seems to finish chances much easily than him and the 4Weak foot that he has is great especially inside the box where it feels like 5* WF. In terms of passing he is better than both Martins and Rodrigo, I don't really try to make long passes with him since he is usually the one that receives them but when I do he doens't dissapoint. Dribbling wise, Gelson feels much more agile and faster in everything he does, but Promes can easily beat defenders in 1v1 situations and that 5* skill moves are very helpful. As for weakness his strength is not very good and any defenders who will push him a little bit will most likely to throw him into the ground, but with his pace most of the times he will get behind the defence so its that big of an issue. Also I highly suggest for you to play him as a Stirker his stats and workrates are perfect for that position, i've played him as a winger in a few games and he always disappeared, if you want him to play as a cam so badly then use maestro that should work. Overall in my opion he is one of the most vfm cards right now and everyone who has a la liga squad should have him. As for weakness his strength is not very good and any defenders who will push him a little bit will most likely to throw him into the ground, but with his pace most of the times he will get behind the defence so its that big of an issue
So where to start about this beast player? Oh ya, I bought him for 3.900 coins for my La Liga team because I wanted a better option than Christian Tello, and I never regretted it. His pace, combined with his great dribbling, unstoppable finishing, and very good passing, is unmatched compared to most other players. In my style, I use him as a LF on Stay Central and Get In Behind, and it works because he can use his pace and finishing to destroy any defender that stands in his way. However, he can use his pretty good passing and crossing to get the ball to other attacking players. Usually those players were Ben Yedder, Gelson Martins, and Wass, but now they are Diego Costa, UCL Callejon, Thiago. My only concern is his that because of his 61 strength, he gets pushed off the ball most of the time.
Pace
Dribbling
Shooting - He scores from almost every angle
Skill Moves - I only occasionally use them, but when required, they're amazing
Passing
Strength - He often gets pushed off by stronger midfielders and defenders
Quincy Promes is an absolute beast in Fifa 19, I used him in a 4231 IG and put him on the left CAM Position. That is the perfect position for him, because he can use his good pace and 5 Star Skill Moves in order to run down the wing and bring his pretty accurate crosses or he can go to the middle and score awesome finesse goals with his right foot from outside the box. The only thing you could complain about is, that he has not got the physicality to push the defenders off, but I would not rate it as a weakness because there are not much players that are able to do that.
Today I've sold Promes after playing almost a hundred games with him. The first about 40 games i played him alongside standard Ben Yedder in a 4-2-2-2 formation. Then after packing Depay and with the release of IF Ben Yedder Ive changed him to the left CAM in the 4-2-2-2. So for the weekend league I played all 30 games with Promes left, Yedder and Depay in center and Malcom on the right. So...after these 30 weekend league games (and a few division rival games before) i can really say that prmoes didnt really work for me in a wing / cam position. He was not nearly as noticable as Malcom on the right side. Now here is what makes promes worse than malcom FOR ME: firstly Yes! hes fast but malcom is way better (and way more fun) at dribbling. Secondly with only having 75 curve his finesse shots arent as good as you would wish for the new "meta". Thirdly his workrates... high / low might be good as a striker but i expect a left cam to help out in defence too. With that said i want to point out that Promes only didnt fit in that left CAM position for me.. I really liked him as a striker! BTW if you consider to play him as a striker, I personally prefer Depay over Promes.. just saying.
