The Dutch Demolisher

So, Wout Weghorst. What is there to say about this man, except that he is an animal. I have never been so pleasantly surprised in my life. I like to play crossing football, and I can say that this man is the best Aerial Threat that Fifa has blessed me with. I played him with HAWK chem style, which gave this man the most unfair statistics that I have ever seen. 95 SHOT POWER, 93 STRENGTH, and 90 JUMPING on a 6"6 behemoth means that if you hold L2 in the box or off a goal kick with this card, it is physically impossible for him not to win the ball. Albert Einstein once proposed that the speed of light was the fastest thing could exist. However, Einstein never saw Wout Weghorst head a football. This human should be banned from all consoles, as he has proven that man has indeed meddled in matters that far exceed their knowledge. He is the unknown God of fifa 18.

  • Despite the fact that his head is about 10 miles from the ground, he seems to be able to weave through players like a professional extreme seamstress.
  • I'm fairly certain that the power generated by a green timed header from this man would have put both Nagasaki and Hiroshima to shame.
  • He has replaced his legs with either springs or rockets, as he towers over defenders and goalkeepers
  • He swats away players like TOTY varane like pesky flies around his afternoon picnic
  • Once this man hits a driven shot, it is a legal requirement for all players to remain at least 15m away from the ball to avoid disintegrating
  • For what you get in terms of value, this man is more cost effective than investing in solar energy in the Gobi Desert

  • 1 on 1 can be shaky
  • Not that quick - but lets be honest, at 6"6 if he's 70+ pace, that'll get the job done.
  • You can't use him against your friends, or they will plot to kill you after you clap their cheeks with the horse dildo that is this card
  • Passing is meh, but this man is not iniesta, that's not his job.

The slow, but dangerous tank
By CondensedSky, 02-01-2019

This is one of those players you will never expect to be good, and yes, he has some MAJOR downfalls but he has some great stats which, when used in the right way, may make him a unstoppable scoring machine.

As he is a former AZ Alkmaar player, I was hoping to get him from my WL rewards and actually use him, which I did.

I have played 131 games with him, he scored 79 goals, assisted 48 and most importantly: he was 131 games of fun.

When seeing the opponent's squad I always low-key hope to see the opponent using defenders like Azpiliqueta, Nacho Fernandez or Thiago Silva since this guy will demolish them in the air since he is 6'6/1.97cm's with 80 jumping on top of that.

Obiously, his biggest pro's are his height and then having his jumping on top of it. He wins headers from everyone, just make sure you have him on stay central, have "players in the box" on a high setting and have some decent crossers to deliver those crosses which make him so good.

He physically will bully a lot of defenders with his 88 strength and length and out-head defenders like van Dijk and Rio Ferdinand.

He will score you a lot of corners, make sure he's at the 1st goalpost and get the ball somewhere near him.

He's a deadly finisher with deadeye which makes his positioning and finishing 99 and his shot-power 95.

Deadeye will also up his passing a bit, but you'll mainly want to focus on using his shortpassing when using him.

He has a good 86 stamina and H/H workrates, which allows him to try and get the ball when the ball is being passed to the opponent's defenders.

Now, he does have a bunch of cons.

For one, he has no pace. If you're looking for pace, this guys is not the player you want to put as a striker, look at someone like Werner instead.

Secondly, he's a stiff tree when it comes to dribbling. Don't even attempt trying to get past a few defenders with him, he will lose the ball before you get 3 touches in.

And his longpassing is just plain bad, you will most likely lose possesion.

This card is mostly fun to use, not particularly good. He can be a monster, but he has to be used properly for that to happen.

I personally am looking forward to another IF since he will be 84 rated then, I hope EA will bless us with that card soon.

The Monster among man
By EkaBlei, 25-01-2019

hadWeghorst may be the most physical and dominant striker that is available in the game. He excels be pure body size (you can't teach that), and power and is a deadly force in the penalty box. Throw him a high cross and he will beat almost any CB in 1 vs 1 situations. He is about 2m tall, which already gives him the size advantage against almost any defender. His jumping is 80 (90 with marksman), what will give him an additional edge fir contested crosses.

Also his bodyframe gives him the abilty to shield the ball in about any situation.

Beast

Wow. As soon as I checked his in-game stats, I was astounded by his ridiculous seemingly unrivaled height 6'6" and 85 jumping combo (Basic chem). I subbed him in a 90th minute corner for his debut as I was down 1-2. Gnabry whips the corner in and despite guys like Goretzka, Hummels and Boateng around him, Weghourst springs up and thumps a majestic header into the top right corner, Neuer didn't even react! Awesome memories. I've still never started him, but kept him as a super sub for Division Rival and and Weekend League games, using him when I'm in a corner situation, down a goal late in the game. As long you deliver a nice cross he will win it 90% of the time. He doesn't score every time of course but definitely worth a try in a last minute corner.

Amazing aerial threat ability (can beat some goalkeepers in some situations)

Powerful shooting

Good strength for hold-up play

Not going to tire out if you start him

Can be clunky however for his height you cannot complain

Slow

3 star weak foot is not great for strikers

This card might work for others, but for me it is
By Moda027, 07-11-2018

I bought this card to replace Werner, I thought I could use it for headers or something like this

But hey, nothing works on this card, literally!

He doesn't win any header, not a single one, and his strength looks less than 60 in game.

I tried a lot to wait for him to be in position, and used the 1-2 passing, but nothing work, he is always where you don't want him!

  • Can say a good league.
  • Nothing else.
  • The worst positioning ever, he is always out of position.
  • Shooting is so bad as well.
  • Although he is 197cm with 80 Jumping and 88 Strength, he couldn't win any header, Werner was way better in headers.
  • Passing and Pace are so bad as shown on the card exactly.
