When reading the title of this review, you should just about understand what this guy is all about. All he does is score goal after goal and then some, he is seriously the living definition of a finisher who can definitely finish his dinner whilst still being hungry for dessert. When I first saw this card on EA's twitter account, I thought, "Wow, he looks really good, but doesn't quite seem to be an end-game card." this put me off buying his for the first few days as I wanted to see where his price settled. At about 300k I made the purchase and it was quite possibly one of the best i've made all Fifa.
I played Cutrone up top in a 41212 (2) formation alongside POTM Hazard, as I thought a skillful, dribbler type player in Hazard would go perfectly with a poacher in Cutrone. Throughout the 10 games I played with him, this man scores for fun. Long shots (even though it says they are only 74 trust me, they are not), timed finesses, low driven's, headers and even occasional bicycle kicks would all fly into the net with ease, leaving even the best keepers in Courtois and De Gea looking like Karius in the Champions League final.
Shooting: My word, this guy has to be one of the most composed and relaxed players in front of goal i've ever played with. Every chance he has he puts in the back of the net. Even if he has players up his ass, trust me mate, the ball is going in the net.
Dribbling: For a 6 foot striker with 81 agility I expected Cutrone to be sluggish and hard to turn with, this was quickly proven incorrect when he took his first touch on the ball. I was impressed by how easy it is to make quick turns and dribble around players, whilst also holding them off with his 88 strength.
Pace: Looking at the stats, 86 Pace with 84 Acceleration and 87 Sprint Speed doesn't stand out as an amazing stat, but when he makes those runs that split defenses open, he feels like as if Adama Traore had a son... with 90+ Pace. Seeing as pace is one of the less important stats this Fifa with defenders catching up to even the fastest players, it is nice to use a card that can exploit some defenders low reactions and pace whilst also making the correct runs.
Heading: When looking at his heading stats coupled with his height, it is inevitable that this guy will win a lot of headers. A LOT. From near post corners to goal kicks and occasional crosses, this man wins them all with about 85% of them ending up in the back of the net.
Strength: Strength is pretty self explanatory, 88 means he can hold off some of the weaker defenders with exceptions to Van Dijk and Sergio Ramos. Still feels great.
Positioning: Always in the right place at the right time, always making the best runs and always scoring. Simple.
Maybe his free kick stats, but even saying that is a stretch for cons.
No player has never made me write a review about them, but Cutrone is something else. He isn't cheap, I know you'd expect a lot from a 300K Striker, but trust me, this guy delivers. Anyone who says otherwise must be delusional. First of all, 96 Attack Positioning and Finishing. Anything that comes off his right foot is bound to rip the net. The 89 shot power goes hand in hand with the finishing. 3 star weak foot isn't an issue for me as the high finishing compensates for it. As for his pace goes, its pretty good. He's able to get in behind the defense and sprint on towards goal. His dribbling is strange, IMO. It's not like its horribly bad or fantastic. Its somewhere in the middle, but leaning more towards good. The 4 star skills make this card very usable. His passing is decent. He is very good at making quick one touch passes with 90 short passing. However, as for long passing I do not recommend it unless you have no choice. He is however to send a lobbed through ball towards wingers who make wide runs. Physicality is also a highlight for this card. With his stamina, he is more than capable of lasting a full 120 minutes. Strength and jumping are better than expected. Being 6 feet tall with 91 Heading is fantastic.
For any other Serie A users out there, this card will not dissapoint you. I use the Hawk chemistry style on him and he's got 53 goals and 7 assists in 47 games for me. (FUT Champs and Rivals)
After using many different serie A Strikers, I decided that this guy should jump straight into my squad. And fortunately, this was a great idea! This player is amazing! To be fair, I packed him untradeable from my Division Rivals rewards. Thank you FIFA gods. Thank you.
He has great shooting, he's a killer from inside and outside the box. Also, he has a great stamina, which allows him to stay in the whole match with energy.
SHOOTING (he is a killer)
PACE (he is not the fastest man, but his pace is satisfactory enough)
STAMINA
SHORT PASSES
JUMPING & HEADING ACCURACY (such a nice combo, wins many headers, and scores the majority of 'em)
LONG PASSING (you won't realise that his long passing stat is that low in game, sometimes, it seems like being approximately 80. But most times it seems lower).
FREE KICK ACCURACY (well, just pass if you don't have a better free kick taker to take it).
WEAK FOOT 3* (not the best, not the worst, but his three star weak foot is a real one. Misses many shots while using it).
This guy can score anything, his headers are unstoppable, his shooting nearly always goes top bins and he barely misses, his long shots let him down.
I has him a couple of months ago and he was annoying me by missing so frequency for a 96 finisher but since the latest patch he's incredible and doesn't miss. Him playing with 87 inform Suso and 89 Champions league insigne is deadly as they can both score from anywhere and have high enough passing and crossing to often find cutrone in the box with ease.
He also doesn't feel slow and clunky for a 6ft player with 81 agility he can beat a player fairly easy and with 88 strength can hold off most CBs plus if you put hunter on him he get's to 97 pace.
finishing
headers
strength
speed
dribbling
His agility does rarely let him down
his long shots could be better
86 stamina can be a problem if using highly pressured tactics
I've used Cutrone since the weekend after Future Stars came out. He has about 300 games played for me and averages around .9 goals per game and .7 assists per game. All i can say is that he's an absolute beast. He's quick (I use a Hunter chem style), has amazing short passing for a striker, lethal finishing, can dribble really well, and is strong enough to hold onto the ball when he's under pressure. His jumping and heading accuracy combine with his 6'0 frame to make him a deadly in the air. He only isn't able to completely dominate that space when faced against one of the upgraded VVDs or Ramos, and even then he still gets enough chances. All of his stats make him a god tier complete striker and I promise you won't be disappointed if you spend the coins.
Finishing- all 99 stats except for long shots means he is clinical from almost anywhere in the box (within reason)
Skill Moves (I'm not a huge skiller so 4* is good enough for me)
Aerial Threat- great height, heading accuracy, and jumping create a beast in the air
Strength- 88 Strength is perfect for a striker with his pace
Pace (with Hunter)- 96 pace and it feels like it
Dribbling- very nice to round off this amazing player
Weirdly good finesse shots outside of the box
Long Passing- kind of horrible, don't try to play long through balls unless you have another very fast forward and loads of space
Weak Foot- sometimes irritating, rarely shanks it with his weak foot but it still happens
This guy is the goat in FIFA (and in real life). He bangs in at least 5 goals each game in div 1 an easily 60 goals each weekend league. I sold prime R9 because he was trash and bought this beast instead. He scores from everywhere on the pitch. He also scores 2.56 bicycle kicks every 1.08 games. He fells like OTW Piatek on steroids. His pace is amazing and he runs past defenders like they were Mertesackers. I play him as a leftback and he is AMAZING. He is the only one that scores in my team(Be aware that I have prime pele, eusebio, maradona and toty ronaldo, messi) Do whatever it takes for you to buy this card. Buy fifa points, sell your team or sell your kidney on the black market.
I bought him on the day he came out for 350k. I thought a player with 96 finishing will be excellent. I was wrong played ten matches with him. 7 in rivals 3 in FUT Champs. He wasn't able to hit the target. Even perfect timed finess shots went over the bar. I would not recommend him. Waste of coins. Rather buy IF Belotti.
