Well, after a little search finding the best baby icons that I could pack in the end of the month in the garanteed pack of fut swap, I realized that the probablity of packing something that could enter my team was very small. So I start searching the best( and affordable to my budget) icon sbc's. The one I imediately knew that was made for me was Van Basten, amazing shot, great height and strength, nice composure and dribbling.
I decided to make the loan sbc of him and I started him right way.
I play only 10 games with him but it was enough to understand his pro's and con's and to know if he was good to me. I play all the games in Rivals, division 3
He was great, some things weren't amazing, but he is a game changer, he made the entire difference, making me win 9 games, drawing 1 and only losing 1
Trust in him, he is godly...
Pace:
He is not mbappe, but honestly no one will buy him because of his pace.
Catalyst really help, +10 pace
He is fast enough to get behind the defenders and his positioning and runnings for the long passes are pretty amazing. Once one of my mifielders put the ball behind the defence no one could reach him. And that for me was more than enough. I don't play crazy runs like the players that use Auba and players like that.

Perfect. No more to say. Just don't miss the shot, far or close to the goal. Just amazing.

Passing:
The long pass isn't very good but it's not the worst because his vision with the catalyst is very good and helps a lot.
The rest of the stats of pass are really good and he plays very well to the team too.

Dribbling:
Very good agility, really helps, he is very high but still fast because of that.
Composure: one of the best things about him, very very consistent
Dribbling and ball control are really good also

Defending:
Not important.
But his heading is really good. In corners, even in difficult positions, he can put the ball in the back of the net easily.

Physicality:
He only has 80 stamina but for me it's more than enough, can last the entire game in good conditions.
Really good strength to hold up play.
Didn't really notice the lack of agression.

Cons:
3 star skills sometimes is a problem but not a big one for me
Could have a better long passing, but I think i noticed that more because of my style of play

I did this SBC prime moments icon Van Basten as I started to get a lil bored of having loads of different teams and I wanted a player I can use in any team. I decided to choose Van Basten as I saw that 98 shooting and I thought he'd be immense. 6 foot 2, can head the ball, good strength, immense finishing, composure... I knew he'd be a perfect out and out striker that I can rely on to put away even the most difficult chances
To do this SBC it cost me around 1 million coins on Xbox so it isn't the most expensive SBC especially for what you get in return, some good packs and a great striker.
I played with Van Basten in Division 1 and he does have a great goal/game ratio and occasionally creates for others. I would recommend this card if you're looking for a consistent target man/finisher however, that 91 dribbling can be deceiving as that 75 Balance really shows negatives in this card, so if you're looking for a fast, agile striker I would recommend against this card as there are plenty of alternatives for much cheaper.
Pace:
Now his base pace stat is 85 which looks quite attractive in a striker, a bit of pace however, but his you do feel that his acceleration lets him down especially if you look to play in behind the defence. I used engine on his to boost his Balance but his pace goes up to 90 with this chem style but he still felt quite slow when he accelerated (Could be the difference using a Catalyst on him). With the amount of fast, strong centre-halves such as Van Dijk, David Luiz FB etc He can be left a bit redundant when it comes to utilising his pace.
However, if he gets a couple yards separation from his defender and the ball slips in behind or over the top, Marco will be on the end of them.
I grade him a 7/10 overall for his Pace
Shooting:
I cannot express how impressive his finishing is, finesse shots from tight angles or outside the box go in 9/10. Has rocket shots and volleys. Just serve him and he will finish it. Enough said.

Passing:
His short passing and combination play is quite smooth. He is great as a target man so I suggest surrounding him with fast, agile players who can get the ball into his feet and look to combine with little 1-2's round the opposition defence, this allows the fast, players to get into space and Marco to spin off his man to try explode into the box or drop off to receive and strike on the edge of the box.
Long passing is average but for his base stat of 78 passing on his card it isn't going to be phenomenal however it is very consistent.
I grade his passing overall as a 8/10.
Dribbling:
His dribbling for me even with an engine chem style was a bit inconsistent and could be a big factor on this cards downside, his stats of agility is fantastic but that 75 balance even with a +10 upgrade still made him feel like a truck when trying to turn. Not to mention having only 3* skills could put people off this card. However, the use of body feints creates spaces for him and maybe his "saving grace" as it allows him to get inside his man to strike and when you get even a yard on a defender to get off a shot, it almost always ends up in the back of the net.
Overall if you want a card that is a fantastic, fast, agile dribbler than I wouldn't recommend this card. However, he isn't the worst dribbler but against ICON defenders, midfielders or even just high rated defenders like David Luiz FB, he'll dispossess you 6-7 times out of 10.
Overall I grade this card a 7/10 for dribbling

Physicality:
Marco has some good physical stats such as that 87 Jumping combined with a 6 foot 2 inch frame and 94 heading accuracy makes him a lethal target man, also combining that 85 strength to hold the ball up makes him like I've said a great target man on FIFA this year. One downside to Marco would be that 80 stamina, it isn't great as sometimes in the dying moments of the game tied at 1-1 and I play a ball in behind and Marco struggles to get there due to this tho it isn't that bad in most cases.

- 3* Star skills is disappointing as he doesn't have a lot of overpowered skills in his locker.
- Acceleration could be better using a Catalyst but can be frustrating when he doesn't get on the end of a quality through ball due to this.
- Balance on his card even with an Engine makes his card feel very truck like when trying to turn and drive past defenders and can impact this card massively in a negative way.
Overall I would rate this card a 8.5/10 in game.
What can I say, this man has one of the most broken shots on FIFA. His shot power and accuracy are insane, his high positioning makes him placed always where you need him. With a catalyst, his passing is fixed, as well as gets a huge boost to pace. His strength helps him hold off defenders to get a powerful shot off that will most likely blast into the back of the net. He can last a full 120 being played on stay forward and if you have a pacey striker as I do [TIF Werner] has a great link-up play with him, sort of becoming a second CAM when needed. His headers are a strong pro, seeing he's 6'2 with 87 jumping and 94 heading accuracy. Overall a strong traditional 9 striker and well worth the cost of his SBC and if you'd like him tradeable, worth the 1 million.

- He is not the fastest player in the game, you'll have to rely on his positioning to do most of the goals.
One of the best icons. 800k for him (you will probably be able to do a lot with stuff in your club) is an absolute steal. He's pretty fast (pace boost recommended tho), prodigious shooting and physically pretty solid.
Engine is the best chemstyle for him.

I've never written a review before, but I had to do it for this guy, Marco Van Beasten. I did his Top Icon moments SBC to use him in this weekend league and what an amazing decision that has been. His SBC goes for around 850-900k (price for him on the market is around 1million right now) and I had a stacked club (with untradable baby Icon) so I was able to do his SBC for a little over 300k. So far, he's the best target man i've ever used. I've used Prime Bergkamp in the past as a target man, but going to Van Basten was a major change. Van Basten is way more consistent in finishing than Bergkamp. I even picked up loan Moments Bergkamp, but the card just didn't feel that great and the value for his SBC (1,3 million while on the market his card is 1 million) is way worse than Van Basten.
- Shooting: 10/10
What can I say, this beast finishes anything it touches. There are just some balls around the edge of the box he never misses and if he misses, the ball most likely hits the post or crossbar. This is what you would expect from a card with 98 shooting, so there's no need to boost this stat with a chem style. I'm a player who struggles with finishing sometimes so having a card like this is a relieve.
- Pace: 8/10
He's not a Werner or Mbappe, but if you slap an engine on him (like me) he does just fine. Don't expect to pace past a Flashback David Luiz, but if you time your through balls right he'll be able to outrun some defenders. I use him as a target man, so there isn't a big need for a lot of pace, but if you would really like his pace to be boosted even more you can use a Catalyst.
- Dribbling: 8/10
His composure (95) is insane, which supports his great shooting even further, and if you use an Engine to boost his other dribbling stats, this card does just fine. His balance still feels a little clunky sometimes, that's the only issue.
- Passing: 7/10
Again, with an Engine chem style this stat is no problem. Short and long passing is good enough for a striker.
- Physical/heading: 9/10
His height (6'2") is really nice, combined with his great heading accuracy and his average strength/jumping. He's not going to be beating a Van Dijck anytime soon, but he's not a push-over and he stands his ground. He's dribbling helps for him to be able to keep the ball off defenders.
- 4 stars weak foot
Helps a lot for passing and shooting as a target man.

If this was 4 stars then this card would be better. I'm not really a skiller so it isn't that big of an issue for me, but this might be annoying for others.
To begin with I play in division 4 ( I am a decent player). So where to begin this man i sthe best striker i have used. Before him came Flashback Villa, Aubameyang, Aguero, Depay SIF, moments Nistelrooy and flashback Ibra( Who is my second striker), But van Basten has scored a goal in every match so far and that is not on average. He scores everything but his longshots are out of this world as wel as his finishing. Combine this with high strength and you have a solid striker. If you have another target man( I have Ibra FB) they work really well together as one distracts the defenders and the other striker will decimate your enemy. The only thing that might Let him down is his long passing but that can be fixed with a Chemistry style such as Catalyst or Engine. Also his 80 Stamina is not a problem.

Overall
Let me start out by saying that if you are a very skilled FIFA player or one who likes to abuse La Croqueta (Iniesta move) then this card, due to having 3-star skill moves, is not for you. If you do want someone to whom you can pass the ball, cross or normal, and just score by pressing the shoot button, this is for you. He heads or shoots everything in, and in many ways, he is an easier linkable CR7 with better scoring potential but worse dribbling.
I was tired of my 89 Benz, and even though Cutrone 89 worked for me, I decided to do this, as I had loads of untradables, and it was the best decision in FIFA 19 so far.
Value for money
If you have a good amount of untradables and do/did an icon from the Swap deals, you can do this at 200-300k before packs. It cost me 400k without having an icon, so definitely a bargain.
Game changer
He doubled my wins in WL, and I did him after 15 games. 13 goals and 5 assists in 12 WL games say it all. The extra game and two assists are from Rivals. In WL he had two hattricks, one of them in 6 minutes from 114. to 120. minute, so a game changer for sure.
Stamina
Slightly above average, I never sub him and never had problems with him, but it isn't exceptional.
Pros and cons
Pros and cons are obvious and stated below. I use hawk on him for jumping, but if passing, pace or dribbling is a problem, you could boost that. I am, however, going to change that to catalyst.
As pace can so easily be fixed with a catalyst or even shadow (for the 5+ heading, hunter is just plain dumb) it has not been included.
Balance is not that big an issue because of strength and has not affected me. Again, much like CR7.
I don't use skill moves, so 3 star is no problem for me, but his ball control and general feel is not sluggish as some people say.
This is the team he is used in, and by far the best player. Just do him already guys.
- Shooting obviously, bangs everything in.
- Heading is equally insane, he has headed goals in from outside the box. He is tall and has high jumping so he reaches balls like CR7
- Strength is insane as well
- 4-star weak foot is nice but definitely expected for a player this tier. His shooting is so good that I could have sworn he had 5 stars though.
- For many, 3-star skill moves. It does not affect me, however.
So first things first I was being curious one day and wanted to look to see what SBC's were out there as i was bored yet again with my squad and wanted to weigh my options with around 500k in the bank. I had a base icon from my fut swap deals and wasnt opposed to using it in an icon SBC if i liked what i saw. To my dismay i was seeing the likes of Laudrup, Deco and other mediocre prime moment icons that i yawned at. then i flipped the page and saw this cheeky 94 overall card staring back at me (i love the way these moment icon decals look). Big VB in all his glory. I had actually used his prime card in the past for 750 k but re nagged and sold him to see to other areas of my squad. what can i say his play style isnt my favourite to play with(i prefer small shifty players), BUT it is the type of player that is dominant in this fifa.
I was piecing together the cost because his expected sbc cost is around 850,000 ish and i knew i couldnt afford it if not for the icon i already had to use. Morale of this story is he is SO WORTH his cost especially if you have some untradeables lying around to use.
His performance for me after my initial 10 games has been a tad inconsistent, BUT the last game he just threw up a casual 4 goal performance and completely won me the game 2 of them headers, 2 of them lazers( all 10 games in Div Rivals)
If you thought corners were already absurd just wait till you see this guy short post. Its kinda like when you see ronaldo or VVD line up at short post against you. you just know its going in and its nice to have that on my side for once.
Also his foot is an actual ballistic missile and it doesnt explode on impact it just keeps on going and going. 3* weakfoot doesnt bug me and it wont bug you either. Trust this man.
If you are on the edge like i was getting this SBC just do it, you arent going to get better value for your coins and im telling you you will enjoy his broken shots and broken headers.

Well, I'm assuming almost everyone looking at this card will be looking at doing his SBC, and that's how I got my hands on him. I'm a big admirer of Van Basten and thus I wanted to complete this SBC ASAP, and being pretty fairly priced it seemed well worth it. Decent packs back which gave me some money back from it but after two weekend leagues and a few rivals games I'm glad I did go ahead and get him. It takes a while to get used to him and was frustrating at first, but once you play with him in different play styles and formations you soon find out how to use him to his full potential. I played him as the solo striker in a 4231 with Eusebio behind him, and it works wonders. His hold up play is fantastic, and with a pacey boy behind him you can rip up defensive lines like there's no tomorrow. I've used a few different chemistry styles with him but have settled on architect. He gets a big passing boost, which is definitely needed and takes his usability in hold up play to the next level, and a good physical boost for his strength and jumping. He profiles similar to flashback Ibra, but having both I personally prefer MVB. His dribbling is noticeably much better and his agility makes him a much more fluid player to use imo. Oh, and he definitely scores absolute worldies. If you're looking to get a great icon, and not expect him to play the sweaty meta that an R9, Neymar, CR7 etc. would fulfil, he's a great card that I've had a great return from and a lot of fun using him.
Dribbling is a massive pro for him, he's incredibly agile for his height.
Shooting obviously, enough said.
Strength, he shields the ball very well.
Standing tackles, he genuinely puts in a mean stand tackle and is a workhorse to regain possession.
Strength, I know this was a pro, but he's not strong on the ball in motion, gets pushed off easier than Ibra (for example).
3 star skills, with his agility, 4 stars would go a long long way, limits him a fair bit, but you just have to play around that, big shame though.
Pace, he's not fast, even with a chem style.
I did account just to make this review. I make sbc for him and it was lost money.. I used Zlatan or Gabriel Jesus before and they was both better.
When i shoot from distance when i got Zlatan it was almost always goal, when I shoot with Van Basten defenders always block him or something. In game i feel like i playing 10 vs 11.
Maybe i didn't play much games with him i don't know but i don't feel he is that good like on card. Maybe he is not my type of sniper I like good height tall strong sniper like Zlatan or fast with good agility dribbling Gabriel Jesus. I played with Van Basten 10 games scored 10 goals but i don't like him...
He got good headers, he can win header when u start from goalkepeer.
About shooting i dont think he got any better shoot then any other good striker...
He can easy lost ball, easy push from defenders, feel like he got 30 strength not 85.
He slows with shoots, with passing ... 98 reactions on card ye sure nice joke.
