So after seeing some good things about this card on twitter I decided to try his loan card and what can I say, this man is a machine. I changed my formation just because of him to 4231 and I don't regret it. I play him as a CAM behind Ibra and he is fantastic.
His shooting is amazing with both feet due to the 5* WF, his passing is always on point, he is tall and wins headers, a fantastic dribbler and has 95 stamina so you never have to sub him off. He is not very good at defending but he can win a couple duels now and then, but that's not his role so no problem.
Since his loan expired I decided to do his SBC because he is worth it. I have played 11 games with him on weekend league and won them all. If you have the coins do it.

Hello everybody! And welcome to another player review!! We haven't done another review since CR7, but man, this guy deserves it.
He is so fucking good, we previously tried his 89 version and man, we fell in love with him. We knew we would do his prime sbc as soon as it came out and when we saw the optimus prime, We literally got a boner. As soon as the sbc dropped we did it (and became poor, but doesn't matter, the whole team is finished :D https://imgur.com/a/HfZQ1Ta )
Since we got him, we played our last 10 games of futchampions, and played some rivals. We finally got div 1. We have been trying for months and finally been able to achieve it. So far, he's got 40 goals and 17 assists in 39 games ( https://imgur.com/a/ZZjxQy9 ) This is where he plays in game https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/5963499 . We put him an engine style to boost his pace, agility and balance, i think is the chemistry style that suits him better, and tbh, engine is one of the most underrated chemistry styles after marksman (put marksman in all your attacking players, thank me later)
Before I start with the stat by stat review, I'd like to say that, for a Cam position, he is close to optimus Gullit. Don't kill me yet, yes, I have just said that,but you gotta try him. Apart from the defense, they are so similar, and for a Cam roll, offensively, there is barely a noticeable difference.
He is fast.Super fast. It is one of these players that feels faster than you thought he would be, he is so tall that his 85 pace seems even more due to his height. When he starts running not many players are able to catch him, and with his strength and height will be difficult for the defender to get the ball 10/10
Shooting: I simply can't explain how good it is, We have tried so many good strikers but this guy's shooting is above anything we've tried this year. He will score anything you try. His finishing is super clinical and his power longshots will find the back of the net 9/10 times, and the 1/10 the gk will do an insane save.Add to that that he does not have a weaker foot. Nothing else to add. Perfect. 20/10
Dribbling: Super good. Compared to his 89 he feels WAY more agile and his ball control and dribbling is perfect. You wont notice lack of balance or anything, I was really surprised on how agile he feels in game, his 89 was good but nothing even close to this card. With his height and strength it is so difficult to take the ball away from him. 10/10
Passing: Godly. Anything I could tell you won't be enough. We were really impressed with his 89 passing, but this is even better. His long passes are orgasmic, he doesn't miss a pass. And his freekicks, we love taking freekicks with the outside foot and this guy has replaced stoichkov as our freekick taker (we score tons of fks with him, but socrates has scored 3/3 so far) 20/10
Physical: This is what makes this card so good. His height, added to infinite stamina, plus his strength makes him the perfect Cam. His heading is fantastic, wins most of headers and ahs scored a few corner kick goals. 10/10
Hope this review helped you, if you reconsidering adding him into your team do it, you won’t regret it. His SBC tbh is not that overpriced, I recommend doing him now as market has gone to sh*** and high rated players are damn cheap, won't last long!

After many long hours of trading, weekend league and saving up coins from div rivals, I decided to use my hard earned coins on his SBC. At first I was terrified he would not meet my expectations, but he exceeded them by far. His SBC is very expensive, but IMO he is worth it. In hindsight I would gladly pay around 3 mill for this guy. Sócrates is a complete game changer. He will win you games and makes great runs in behind the defense. VVD and Sanchez have finally met their maker ;-) He´s simply the complete package. At first I decided to try him out as a striker in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. I was not disappointed. He scores goals with ease, but I would advise you to use him as a CAM of CF to best utilize his passing abilities. Don´t get me wrong; you can definitely play him as a striker, but as a CAM he´s just on another level. It´s like using some sort of cheat code. I now know why he was called the doctor. This guy will for sure solve your goal scoring problems. When you get through on goal, there´s simply no stopping him. His height, strength, agility and ball control makes sure that he´s not getting shrugged of by defenders. Even though his balance is a bit low, it was never a problem for me. For me he was like a hybrid between CR7 and TOTY De Bruyne. His finishing is exceptional, but what surprised me the most was his passing. It´s just on another level. He´s pulling all the strings and completely dominates the midfield and creates havoc for my opponents. He always manage to pass the ball in the right I would advise you to slap a deadeye on this guy to turn him into an absolute monster. Boost all his shooting stats up to 99 (except volleys and penalties) with 99 ball control, max composure and 5* weak foot means he will score you goals for fun. 96 curve does certainly also help if you decide to bend it in the corner. If Courtois or De Gea somehow manage to stop a shot from distance, you will most likely score on the following corner. Hope this review was helpful.

Socrates is a Greek Brazilian god amongst mere mortals. He is everything Pogba aspires to become. The only thing EA could do to "balance" this card was give it 4 star skill moves and mediocre jumping; otherwise, he would be unstoppable. With an engine chem style, Socrates will majestically glide past defenders and ruin their whole careers with only a few swift movements. He's a huge, physical presence who can dribble, shoot, and pass like no other. Oh, and he's also fast. If you like having deities on your team, I would highly recommend the one named "Socrates".

- Incredible long shots, volleys, and timely headers

- Perfect Dribbling; rarely gets mauled and loses possession due to low balance
- Huge body and physical presence
- Sometimes feels as though you are role playing Ronaldinho in the Nike commercial and want to repeatedly clang shots off the crossbar, but could be attributed more to bad coding than anything
- Is occasionally dead by the 70-75th minute despite having 95 stamina and not contributing much on defense
- Can get out-jumped often with his 71 jumping despite being 6'4" (can be fixed with hawk if you want to sacrifice all the huge boosts engine gives you)
So when I heard my all time favorite brazillian player was coming to FIFA 19, I made it a dream to get his prime. Lo and behold, EA gives him and even more overpowered card in the Optimus Prime Moments version, and I was instantly hooked.
I was painfully using prime Rui Costa for close to 400 games, and what was keeping me up at night was the possibility of that Socrates SBC dropping.
Socrates SBC dropped and I have never completed something so quick in my life. I said goodbye to my longtime frenemy Rui Costa, emptied my entire club sold ALL my useless, and finished the sbc with 400 coins remaining. Yes, 400 coins.. not enough for a squad fitness.
Enough with the intro. I looked at his stats, and my God, words cannot be said at how good these stats are. This guy is a literal tree ingame, 5*wf makes him so unpredictable, and is SO much fun to use.
Dont let that balance fool you, *slap* an engine on him and you're more than set (hawk if you want to play him at striker). He scores bangers from 40 yards with ease, sometimes i feel bad for my opponent.
The card is ACTUALLY Broken. 71 Goals and 28 Assists in 88 games, and carried me to my first Elite 2 Finish (Weekend League and Division 2 in Rivals - Team linked above).
Last thing, don't let people who have never used Socrates fool you by saying you should wait for the likes of Cruyff and Eusebio etc.
After you get used to having such a giant in the game, you'll see he plays much better than these two, and for the price is completely worth it in my opinion.
Try his loan for 10 games (remember to add engine/hawk), and come back and thank me.
Stamina - Runs for DAYS
Shooting: I have never felt comfortable taking hail mary shots from 40 yards out, with Socrates, these bangers seem like tap ins..
Passing: His delivery is so good, no wonder he's called the DOC
Build: He bodies EVERYONE, hes so big and strong, wins most headers too (with the exception of cr7 and toty vvd etc)
Agility: This surprised me so much, he's super big and I expected him to be clunky, which he really isn't. Very nice on the ball, and with engine he is a literal train on the field, mowing down the enemy.
You unfortunately cannot have a team of 11 Socrates'.
Honestly amazing, is so agile for someone so tall and can do skills really well. Shooting is immense and with his 5* weak foot it doesn't matter at all which one you use to shoot and with that 95 shooting his shots are unstoppable when they are green timed. surprising good at winning the ball back to but thats probably down to his physicality than defending. With his physicality and ball control it is very hard for the opponent to tackle him, just seems to bounce off players while managing to hold onto the ball. Would definitely recommend getting him if you're looking for an icon and can afford him.

I wanted to complete an icon prime moments sbc because i had a budget of 2,5m. Well then that day the prime of Socrates came out. And OMG this card is a god! I've used him in WL and Div 1 (Around 2500 Skillpoints) in 30 games. His stats are in incredible 26 goals and 22 assists. He carries my whole team against the Toty's, Gullits, R9 and CR7.
Pace: His 85 pace is really good. Of course he isnt the fastest but i think a cam doesnt need over 90 pace.
Shooting: Well what can you say! His shots are literally rockets. all shooting are above 90. He can shoot from anywhere from the field. Especially if you master time finishing just like me his shots are unstoppable. He is even my penalty taker because he has 93 finishing which btw is much better than that.
Passing: His passing is amazing. For me vision, short passing and long passing are the most important stats. With his 95 vision, 91 short passing and 92 long passing you can do everything.
Dribbling: Pff i have no words for that. He has 99 ball control, 96 dribbling and 99 composure which in my opinion are really important. His dribbling is so smooth in my opinion.
Defending: Of course he has low defending but for a cam this stat is irrelevant. But he has 89 heading accuray which is really good because he is really tall.
Physicality: Well he is one of the strongest cams in the game. 85 strength is really good and you can boost that too with a chem style. But for me the most important stat is stamina. Most cams doesnt have really good stamina but Socrates has 95. So he can play the entire game.
Well his balance is only 64 so he isnt as agile as Messi or a Zola. For some people it is a problem but it isnt a big deal. Ronaldo has also low balance but he is amazing too.
He costs around 2m coins. Not everyone has that amount of coins to do the SBC. But he is one of the best so of course he isnt cheap
