FUT Birthday is upon us and Timo Werner has become the first SBC player of the promo. I used his headliners card earlier in the year when he became 89 and was not fully impressed with the card. The passing boost due to his RW position change makes him look so much better for a hold up 1-2 pass then run on the the ball player. I ran him in a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) next to Prime Butragueno and POTM hazard at CAM for an all around deadly attack. His positioning is absolutely fantastic. He is always in the right position and is always eager to make a run behind the defensive line. It goes without saying that Werner is a very fast ST but this card feels absolutely rapid. His combination of speed and runs that he makes puts him in front of goal for many chances and he never lets you down. His finishing and shot power combo is phenomenal and allows you to score some perfectly placed shots past any GK. He is also pretty strong on the ball which allows him to not be pushed off the ball easily or be able to hold up play for an attack even though his strength stat would not make you think so. He wins a lot of headers as well and is very good in the now cross heavy meta. Overall I was very impressed with what I have seen and I am very happy with what Werner has shown me so far this weekend.
Pace: Doesn't get much better than 98 pace with this card, even at a taller height he does not feel clunky like some of the other taller ST's in FIFA 19
Shooting: finishing is some of the best i have used all year and his positioning allows him to show off his ability, Heading is very good for this card also
Passing: his short passing gives you an option for build-up to the ST or link up play for a through ball past the defensive line
Physicality: He feels like a very strong player and can hold his own on most occasions, Stamina is fantastic and will last all 120 minutes if needed
Dribbling: Has very good control of the ball and is able to do most close touch dribbling to weave around defenders
Links: Very good card to link into German nation players or for Bundesliga squads in general
Skills: 3 star skills is not ideal but I personally did not need it as he ran past pretty much every defender
Price: over 400k for this card so early in the promo seems very looming for most people especially those who would have preferred him at ST. This wasn't an issue for me as I could change him from RW to ST in game.
Aggression: sometimes doesn't stick in for interceptions from defenders that other strikers do. Rarely will poach the ball from a missed pass or on a tackle.
Holy smokes boys, I know at least one of you has been waiting for a review on this player, and my goodness, you won't be disappointed to read what Timo has been up to. So I'd like to start by pointing out that I'm mediocre at FIFA, I'm sitting at 15 wins with 4 games left this weekend, but without this Werner I don't think I'd be anywhere close to that number. The team (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad-builder/view/6297619) was set-up like this in game, whilst obviously the defenders and GK weren't on 10 chem, Werner was before I swapped him.
Lets get into the actual fun bit, explaining how OP Timo really is, with SENTINEL chem style, I netted 35 goals in 25 games, I chose sentinel as it gave him 99 jumping and heading acc whilst he already had 98 pace and 99 finishing. And honestly, it's not fair. Ever thought Ibrah and Van Dijk were op at near post for corners? Wait till you use or come up against Werner, he literally wins everything and 90% of the time puts them on target, so be careful of that if you do come against him. I've scored goals from all sorts of angles and against all sorts of keepers/defenders. Including Van Dijk TOTY and De Gea TOTY, if you're able to utilise crossing, you'll always grab goals, regardless of the opposition.
If you're struggling to workout who to play RAM as Werner fills the RW option, I'd suggest Brandt POTM as he did start as a winger, and is quite decent for his price.
But if you want a really sick player who plays better than icons (used alongside loan 96 Ronaldo for 6 games and he outshone him like mad) then you should really look into this Werner, for 430k (without untradables) he is an absolute steal. Would do it again, 10/10, even traded in my Salah for him.
Also, just to add, if you want to play him as a RW/RF he does have 85 crossing and 97 short passing, artist also makes him a 97. I just prefer the OP heading and the 95 rating at striker personally.

This guy is unreal!!! With an average bundes squad when this guy came out, i knew i had to submit half my club for that 98 pace 99 finishing Timo werner. Having used him for nearly 100 games, i can say i have no regrets with his 104 goals and 25 assists. Just whack a good passer behind him and he will burst through the last line of defence like a bullet piercing skin.

There as is no way better to describe this card. It takes a few matches to get used to his attributes, but when you do, ohh boy he is good.
The mix between absolut rapid speed, good driblings and splendid shooting makes absolut great as ST, which is where i play him in-game. You diffently can play him as a winger, but to me that is a waste of his OP finishing.
Currently i play him with a sniper and with 8 goals in 7 matches i´m confident it´s the right chemistry.
Speed - He is so fast even with the ball, that the opponent can´t give him an inch if they want to see him again.
Shooting - It doesn´t matter how you finish with him,
do you have an open angel anywhere on the pitch, he is absolut lethal.
Dribling – I have had strikers with high dribbling that was rather clunky still while being able to hold the ball, but this guy is absolut crazy on the ball like the absolute best driblers in the game.
Passing - It not absolut overpowered but far better than most strikers.
He could be better on his header, but with his aggresition he is still decent. would recommend him with a second striker better on the headers, perhaps Poulsen SIF
