I am really enjoying all of these great free cards from weekly objectives. You need like 10 or 15 assists with him on squad battles on world class and you get this AWESOME card for free! Since we are approaching "endgame" in fifa, most of your players need to be 80+ pace and 85+ defending ANNNNDD a shadow to stand a chance against every 99 pace prem league card. Rice being 6'1 and with near perfect defending stats (with a shadow) is catching bodies against POTY Sterling and TOTS Salah. Kante is good but his height is a real disadvantage trying to guard virtually ANY Virgil Van Dyke lol. He can be kind of clunky on the ball with his 2 star skills and low balance, but i have him at stay back and cut passing lanes and he is just wonderful. 94 strength paired with 90+ tackling with high aggression makes him an english clone of UCL Live Fabinho (450k+ coins) This card makes defending a cake walk. I usually choke in the 80th minute of alot of games and concede cheese goals but Rice rolls in cool as a cucumber to make a game saving, bone crunching tackle in the box like its just another day in the office.
Overall a GREAT value for what you have to do to get it. Play a couple Squad Battles and get a dope card while you rank up!
I am a division 4-5 player (and only play for fun) and this man makes it into my starting lineup. This boy is a beast: header, check. Last man tackles, check. Long and short balls, check. Deccers has the tekkerz. He is 6' and so, so strong. I start like this: https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/7811473, but i play like this with him on "stay at the back": https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/7813011. He is a mad CDM.
Very easy to link (English and BPL)
Can pass extremely well
Just run into the player for a tackle
His sheer presence makes my Spanish strikers happy
Nothing feels like a con, maybe shooting, still 85 shot power?
When i first looked at this card i thought it looked fairly decent. I went ahead and did the challenge in 2 games and felt in the first few games his agility was a big con from making him a top level midfielder. in my 4th game i looked at different chem styles and saw he had high defending and physical stats with 84 pace so in game i tried him at cb and was shocked to see just how many times he won the ball back and saved me with his quick thinking i strongly advise getting this card done and play him at cb perfect with the likes of van dijk.
Even though he has low shooting he can still score bangers! he is an absolute beast for me even on low chem. If you missed his objective you missed out big time. The best CDM I have used
First of all: When I say: ‘’Put it in a bowl of Rice, He will fix it’’ I literally mean he will fix it, This card is one of the best CDM’s I’ve used in this game. Every time I make a mistake when attacking and my opponent is about to counter attack Rice is already there to repair the damage. Put him on your team with the instruction ‘Cover Centre’ and he will always be able to earn back the ball within no time. His MED/MED work rates make him perfect for defending the middle of the field.
He reminds me a lot of Matuidi, just a better version of Matuidi except Matuidi is better at shooting but that’s irrelevant for a CDM like Rice.
Keep in mind this card is a Weekly Objective, he is/was genuinely a free card! Until this day he is definitely the best free TOTS for me, and I freaking love Onana TOTS.
Positions: CDM in an 4-1-2-1-2 (2) and a 4-2-2-2
Chemistry Style: Shadow
Used in: Weekend League, Division Rivals and Squad Battles
Individual Tactics: Stay back while attacking and cover center.
Games Played: 63 games. 5 goals, 3 assists.
Pace (9/10): For a CDM his pace is almost perfect, he feels faster than 80 pace in my opinion, I put a shadow on him and he can keep up with the most pacey players on the midfield.
Shooting (4/10): couldn't be bothered to be honest haha, I´m almost 100% certain that I have never even taken a shot on goal with him when I was playing serious. Just for the review I did try a couple of shots, let´s just say, he tried.
Passing (10/10): 99 SHORT PASSING AND 94 LONG PASSING, it is just absurd what kind of passing stats this card has. He is so good for me at displacing the play to the other side of the field. His passing accuracy in game is probably around 97%/100% a game. You can’t ask more from a defensive playing midfielder.
Dribbling (7/10): His composure of 96 makes him a reliable play-maker, doesn’t make too many faults at the back and he is actually pretty good at dribbling for someone who you expect to be a little more sluggish. He got 2 star skill moves but that's probably not the reason why you want to pit this card in your team. Nothing to complain about his dribbling, you get what you expect.
Defending: (10/10): He is always at the right place at the right time, his defending is so f**** good. Doesn’t matter who he is going up against, he will get that ball back. Came up against a lot of TOTS and a few TOTY this weekend and it doesn’t matter. 1 on 1 situations, through balls, interceptions. He is the one who is getting the ball back for you.
Physicality (10/10): Can only say that he will obliterate all the opponents 94 strength, 94 jumping, 89 aggression, always the one wo wins one on one situations based on that he never backs down in a duel. One of the strongest midfielders I’ve used this year on FUT.
My oh my. With a vacancy in my defence looking to be filled, the arrival of Rice from weekly objectives was a ray of sunshine for my team. I played him on 7 chemistry at CB, but my team will change when I can get Fut birthday walker from Fut Swap (and play walker at LB.) Slotting in nicely next to Carnival Rudiger, Rice's 80 pace matched Rudiger's 79 to make a flexible unit at the back. His 99 short passing, although not usually a very important stat for central defenders, adds a reliability to his game that you will only find among the endgrame players (Van Dijk, Varane, Ramos etc.) 96 composure may contribute to his calm collectedness at the back too. Defensively, he is extremely solid, matching the likes of 90 Chiellini with 92 stand tackle, 90 slide tackle, and 87 interceptions, which of course all become perfect with the anchor, sentinel or shadow chemistry styles. His physical stats are also fantastic, with 94 jumping and 94 strength cancelling out his average 185cm height, and the aggression of 89 also helps as he destroys the legs of attackers *cleanly and fairly*. I don't see this guy being budged out of my defence any time soon, unless I pack TOTS Van Dijk or TOTS Laporte; Rice is a god.
He's called Rice
Great CB
80 pace
92 stand tackle and 90 slide tackle
94 strength and 94 jumping
99 short passing and 94 long passing
Free to get from squad battles
Could be a bit taller
He's a CDM, so playing him off-chemistry is a bit annoying
