First of all, I am a casual player in FIFA UT, so dont expect a huge fuss about the review. Tried a few squads, now I am using a brazil team(almost all of them). I think there isnt a decent brazilian RB in the game YET. However this card is the closest one to the acceptable. Used his rare base card before, but doesnt do the job. After a few games I decided to use this upgraded one, and I felt a huge difference between the two. I do not understand the games source code, how it decides a players movement, behavior etc. but this UCL Mariano did what I need. I put a BACKBONE on the card, cause i am not a pace hero, i like to build up the game carefully, so i needed the passing more than the pace. If you need the pace you can put a catalyst on him but it doesnt make a huge difference between the backbone.
The base card felt a little clunky, often passed to the wrong player and the acceleration was to slow. However the difference betwwen the two cards is only 1 rating, it feels like 5 . the movement of the player is more fluid, acceleration is much better and the passing is improved. In one word, its worth the 5k(or cheaper). Because of his workrate, he doesnt stuck in the opponents side.
I know other ppl use RBs like Valencia, Walker etc, but i thought i should think about the ones who are actually like to try something different.
Quick sum of the review.
Fastest brazilian RB (it feels like)
Cheap
Use him in SBC in worst case scenario
Good nation
Stamina Outstanding (90+ easily)
Workrate MED//MED
Not a gamechanger, average card
There are a plenty of RB who is better than him
Slide Tackle better than the Stand Tackle(can be good also, if you have to slide from aside the opponents player)
League (hyperlink with Maicon- so Mariano can bear 2 red link BUT only in cheap squads)
