Got him up top with Lewandowski on a whim. Really enjoying him so far. I imagine a lot of people will want to get this guy in the next few months as people start acquiring coins so I'll go through how he feels in game. Keep in mind I've got a Catalyst on him so it'll be through that perspective.
Pace - 80 (90)
I wouldn't classify Suarez as a pacey player but he's certainly no slouch. He feels fast enough and can outpace the majority of the defenders when through on goal. If you've ever had Lacazette, he feels exactly like him. I played him both at CAM and Striker and although the meta has changed, I would still recommend putting a pace card on him still though because he can't keep up with the really pacey fullbacks like Walker, Dalbert, etc. I recommend Engine/Catalyst.
Feels like - 85-87
Shooting - 90
No complaints at all. He has 4* WF but it honestly feels like 5*, he can finish with either foot easily even from outside the box longshots. His finesse shots put anyone else I've used on FUT19 to shame. I don't really know what else to say, he's really, really clinical. His standard power longshots are fantastic too. He has great composure too, so you can rely on him. HIs attack positioning is great, and if you love cutbacks you'll love him. On attack, he's intelligent and can make runs into the box as well as hang outside of it for finesse shot opportunites. If you play around in defense though, he does drop back a lot like a CAM and forces you to drive with him which isn't necessarily a bad thing but when I play a 41212(2) it forces my CAM to cover his striker position. I simply moved him to striker to combat this.
Feels like - 94-95
Passing - 79
One great thing about Suarez is that he's really good at finding a pass in the final third. However, I also used him as a CM in a 41212(2) and I have to say that his long passing is really meh. He's great at short passing but don't expect him to Xabi Alonso because he's really dreadful at long range. Also I haven't scored a FK with him but know that it curves a LOT and he has a custom animation if you like that sort of thing so best to practise with him offline if you want to get the hang of it.
Feels like - 87-90 short range, 70 long range.
Dribbling - 87
He's got fantastic ball control, his dribbling is almost perfect, he keeps the ball extremely close to himself and is great dribbling in the box. He's also got amazing balance and centre of gravity and he almost never falls over even if Chiellini is harassing him. I love high agility players and I have to admit that I would love if his agility was higher but at 82, I would say it feels like that in game maybe a bit lower to 80 as he's sometimes a bit stiff, but still OK. I HATE his 3* skills, I use Berba spins and other skills a lot and this was almost a dealbreaker looking at his card but after playing with him, if you learn to dribble with him, you can still cut in semi easily. (tip: use stepovers // running fake shot - L1 + Fake shot).
Feels like - 87 (marked down because of skills)
Defending - 52
He's actually a pretty competent defender. I've tried him out at CM and because he has high aggression, strength, reactions and decent pace, he can win you some balls if you make sure that you control him manually. If you're playing him at CM, I think he'd be solid (given you're OK with him having mediocre long-passing).
Feels like - 70
Physical - 85
Wow. His physicals are really flipping good. If I had to compare him to someone, it would probably be Carlos Tevez from FIFA 15, he has a bulldog like approach. His aggression + strength + balance combo makes him very hard to push off the ball. His jumping is terrible but he still won me a couple headers and his heading accuracy is serviceable. You can almost use him as a target man, or a more apt term would be a hold up striker. He's great with his back to the defence, and playing one touch passes to bring your midfielders or other strikers on through goal. Even if he loses the ball, he wins almost every 50/50 ball on the ground so he retains it back. His stamina is also fantastic, he runs all game but never gets tired, no problems on that front at all.
Feels like - 90-92 (really, it's very good)
Overall - I would highly recommend him. I bought him and Lewa and built a cheap team around them and I've not been disappointed. When he's on the pitch, no matter who I'm facing and their defense, I feel like I have an opportunity to goal through him. He's incredibly clutch. The worst thing about him is his 3* skills, but if you can get around that he is brilliant, especially for only the 350k he's going for. I would gladly pay 500k for him and still say he is of great value. The only normal strikers I would put above him are CR7 and Messi (if you class Messi as a striker). He's easily 3rd after those, don't @ me. If you like his stats, try him out and I bet you won't be disappointed (if you know how to play with 3* skill players).
Thanks to Divison Rivals rewards, I was fortunate enough to be able to pack Luis Suarez as an untradable player. If anyone packed Suarez as an untradable player before FIFA 19, they would've been gutted as he was practically unusable. For a 90+ rated card, Luis Suarez would've been horrible back in the days, due to his lack of skill moves and pace. This FIFA, it all changed for Suarez. Suarez's stats are phenomenal, especially this year. Pace is no longer the most important factor in a striker, meaning that Suarez's 80 pace is a benefit towards the card. Suarez with any pace-enhancing chemistry style becomes electric and is a nightmare to come up against. I've recieved constant messages from opponents talking about Suarez, whether it be his interceptions or his goals. Suarez scores goals like it's no ones business, long shots are one of his many assets. Suarez is also incredible in 1-on-1 situations, being able to slot the ball into the back of the net with a well-placed shot. Suarez's statistic of 90 shooting is an understatement, it really feels like 95. Suarez can dribble for days, with an 87 dribbling statistic. Suarez goes past multitudes of players without thinking about it. Suarez's 85 physicality statistic and 87 dribbling statistic combine very well, making it near impossible to get the ball off him when he is dribbling or shielding the ball. Whilst a strikers defence isn't often talked about, Suarez has a surprising 52 defending statistic, which allows him to tackle players with ease. Suarez does not have many bad characteristics, the only let downs happen to be his heading and jumping, skill moves and long passes. The long passes can be solved with the catalyst chemistry style, which enhances his speed as well. Suarez is a joy to use and he is the best striking option in La Liga. There is no doubt in my mind.
First of all I am German so please don´t think bad of my english.
In my oppinion I´m a very average Fifa player ( Division 4 and usually Gold 1-2 in Fut Champions)
To be honest I am very disappointed with Suarez. He litteraly was so OP in his first 100 Games for my Club, I think he had a goal per game rate of 1.3 which is very good for me.
I played him at Striker in an 4-2-3-1 formation and it worked realy well. However, after a certain ammount of games, he literally stoped doing every thing I loved about him. He didn´t do the runs, he didn´t play the passes he did before and worst of all he didnt score any more, even not the timed finishes, he didnt score in 20 games.
I will rate the pros considering the first 100 games and not the games when he started becoming bad.
If he stayed at his top form I would say he is worth the Coins but if I pay over 250K for a player I want him to be consistent and reliable
-Pace: With a Hunter chem style his Acceleration is perfect to get past Defenders quickly but he will be catched up by most of the defenders
-Shooting: He scord loads of goals, I like to shoot with the R2 button pressed and oh god the always flew right behind the goalkeeper his finess shots were on point as well.
-Passing: The short passes are okay but nothing special. Crossing is suprisingly ok with him. And his positioning is sensational
-Dribbiling: Very good the ball sticks to his feet and his reaction is phenomenal
-Physicality: His strenght is OP he can get past almost any Defender any his Stamina is superb he never runs out of energy
This part is based on the normal Cons and the ones that showed up afterwards
-Pace: His Sprint Speed feels very slow (even with Hunter) and he will be catched up by a lot of Defenders
-Passing: Don´t even try to play a long ball with Suarez, the won´t reach their target.
-Physicality: He won´t jump no matter what you do
3 Star skills you get used to it but is is annoying
Every from this point will refer to the point were he got bad
-Shooting: Was Super but went downhill very fast. I don´t know why but he couldn´t score anymore dosn´t matter which kind of shot I did
his positioning got realy bad, even if I tried it was realy hard to get to ball to him.
After a certain amount of time I just forgot about him ingame and substituted him every halftime
