Another one of Liverpool's summer signings is Naby Keita.
First of all i'm quite disappointed with his stats, especially after the last 2 seasons he's had with Leipzig but that's just EA in a nutshell...
Attacking:
Unfortunately there's not a great deal i can provide in terms of attacking as i played Keita as a CM in the central spot in a 4-3-2-1 formation which acts as more of a CDM role so if you're wandering if you should use him as your teams CAM this isn't the review for you.
Keita's passing is pretty good. It's nothing over exceptional however he can pick out those pockets of space for the wingers to get in behind the defence.
I've never had a real problem with him giving the ball away deep in my own half, he can always pick out a player if a reasonable pass is on.
Long Shots are certainly above average, because of his short height 5'8 Keita isn't a player who waits in the box for a corner to be whipped in, instead he waits around the edge of the box for any loose clearances and knockdowns and my goodness can this guy hit a ball. I've not scored many goals with Keita but every goal i have scored would be a goal of the year contender.
Defensive:
This is where the key part of this review is. Keita is an absolutely phenomenal defensive player. If you're looking for someone as a cheap alternative to N'Golo Kante then Naby Keita is certainly the player you need to add to your team considering hes a 15th of the price.
Luckily with Keita being such an all rounded player you can slap any chemistry style on him and he can play anywhere you need him too.
For me i used the Shadow chemistry style give him that large Pace and Defence boost.
Keita is such a good player at making those essential interceptions that would of played the opposition forward behind the defense and onto goal.
For a small guy with 58 strength you'd expect him to be pushed around and bullied like a school boy. This is not the case at all.
I don't know why but despite some of Keita's ugly stats they're exceptionally good. For example I've played around 85 games with Keita and it wasn't until do this review that i realised his sprint speed was 60. It certainly feels more like high 70's and the same goes for his strength.
Unfortunately at 5'8 he's not a the greatest for winning headers from goal kicks etc. If there's a player a similar height to Keita, Keita will win the ball 9 times out of 10 due to his great ability to leap like a freshwater salmon.
Tackling is absolutely great, both standing and sliding. He seems to have that ability to really lunge and fly in with his slide tackles which is great for diving in a last second tackle before the opposition striker gets to strike the ball.
Overall Keita is a fantastic addition to any Premier League Team due to his ability to play in any central position.
Much like Gini Wijnaldum i can see Ketia being in my squad for a very long time throughout FIFA 19.
