SO to begin with last year in FIFA 18 i also did the Rijkaard sbc and i wasn't dissapointed at all with this big boy. This year i said to myself let's do it again because i had a lot of untreadable players in my club. I played him with the Players in the linked squad. as a cm in 4-1-2-1-2 (2) and as a cdm with kante alongside with him. First i want to say: This guy is massive. if he goes shoulder to shoulder with almost anyone you can call the call yours. his interceptions are amazing and his heading ability is outstanding. he is very good with kante next to him to make that big boy small boy relation as 2 cdms. as a cm he can build up your play with very good passing abilities but he lacks a bit of shooting. sometimes his long shot and finesse shots go in but he is not a KDB or a pogba. coming to his pace: it is okay! he sometimes feels a bit slow but I am fine with that because this year you can catch anyone with normally pacy players. The dutch rock can go all game long and isn't tired at all. the dribbling is okay but you shouldn't go 1v5 with this boy.
all in all I think Rijkaard is a pretty good card. as a cm and a cdm, but if you wanna play him cdm I think a double cdm with a agile partner like kante is more suitable than a lone cdm Rijkaard.

sry for my bad english i am from germany. first of all i don't want to write a book about him so lets get in the analysis. His card looks mental but is it the same ingame?
Pace: more than enough for a cdm although he is tall
Shooting: scored some bangers for me but you have to hit that green TF tho (heading also good)
Passing: very good, like the stats on the card say
Dribbling: good agility for his height and ball control and dribbling are decent
Defending: i dont find any bad words in this category
physis: good strength and jumping, for me stamina could be more but it is alright
overall best cdm i used this fifa ( dont use petit 88 he is aweful)

Frank Rijkaard in my opinion is the best cdm of the game right after Patrick Vieira and i will explain why.
I have always played in a classic 4231 formation before the finesse patch and i played kante and rijkaard as the two cdms. At first i was not so happy about him, he felt slow, with poor agility and not so defensevly effective. When i switched to a 41212 formation i had to sell kante and keep rijkaard as the only cdm i had. I have to tell you he felt like another player, he can defend in the midfield alone, he is everywhere, he is physically a beast, 90 defending feels so good, interceptions and tackles are just superbe. Most of the time his cpu will get the ball automatically without your controls. Anyway, the thing that distinguishes Rijkaard from others cdms ,like kante, is passing. When Ngolo was on the ball you couldnt ever try a long passing or something too ambitious. Rijkaard has all the skills to do that, being a perfect "glue" between your defense and midfield PLUS he scored some crazy longshots.

Brought Rijkaard to bolster my midfield. I played him in a 41212 CDM and 4231 narrow CDM, and he did exactly what I brought him for.
Broke up the play, intercepted everything, great composure when in possession and good passing. His agility and balance are bit low,
but I for a CDM he is perfect for my squad. If you have the coins and are looking for a very good CDM.
I recommend Rijkaard because you won't be disappointed!

Rijkaard is the player that when you buy you wait. It is practically as it says in the letter with some minimal differences from my point of view.
First of all his pace is similar to what he puts on his card 77-80
His shot would put him around 80 with a good long shot that I would rate him 87-88 (his kind of shot is around Pogba)
His dribble is something rough, maybe he will not reach 80 but 75
His defense is much better than 90 should be 93
His physique should be something over 87, he has a lot of strength, I would put him 90.
He is a player that cost me to do his sbc around 400k + SBC of Baresi who I delivered as an icon. In total about 600k.
I think its ideal price would be 600k -700k or even 800k but no more.

This Ajax talent was one of the best middlefielders IRL. Although, he confused me in game to a point that i am writing a review to let you know what to expect and not from his prime card. What i liked about the card was his passing, headers and shooting. What i didn't like was his defensive runs, balance and defensive work rate. Sometimes he stands and watches the ball passing right next to him. He has a base of 91 interceptions and in game it doesn't feel at all like 91. In some games he was my best player in others the worst. He is too inconsistent. I swapped to Makelele and the difference in defensive work is huge. Makelele in game is better in every single stat apart from shooting and headers. If you are about to spend 1.2million for an icon you are expecting him to be a beast and dictate the middlefield but this card for me wasnt that special. He is good but not 1.2m coins good.

So I don't see any comments or reviews about using this card as a CB. 95 rated with Anchor, and the added benefit of much higher than average passing and dribbling on a CB. Compare him to the highest rated icon CB, 94 Maldini, and I think I prefer Rijkaard.
I put him into a squad as a CM and change formations IG. 3 ATB with Frank, Pique, and Van Dijk. He's got the pace to cover the wing, the strength and tackling to cover the center, and mindblowing playmaking ability for a defender. Some long passes from the back catch my opponents completely off guard.
Even competing with Pique and Van Dijk for headers, he get's on the end of a few corners.
If you can fit him at full chem into your squad and play him at CB, there are not many better options in the game.
I am using rijkaard with kante as CDM. Rijkaard is a beast. you will always find him tackling and standing as a wall. month ago I had built a good squad. but I had a problem with my CDM. I had kante and fabinho. fabinho was doing good but I always lose. I decided to change fabinho with pogba but still the same problem. I tried gold kondogbia and I started to win and reached gold 1. after that I packed an icon and sold pogba to complete rijkaard. Rijkaard is a beast but still I can see that kondogbia is a game changer. frank would astonish you with his performance in the game but when the match end you will find yourself losing with 1 or scoring nothing. it is believed that the CDM who builds the attacks.
