Due to the fact that long shots and timed finishing are very OP in FIFA 19, I suspect that this Coutinho card will be incredibly popular this year. Coutinho's long shots are right up there with the very best cards in the game. Using timed finishing, he's able to generate an incredible amount of power and curve on his shots very consistently while using either foot. Inside the box he is slightly less dangerous, but he's certainly still capable of putting away most chances, especially with a chemistry style that boosts his finishing. Coutinho feels incredibly smooth and comfortable on the ball, and he can pull off skill moves quickly and effectively if you choose to use them. His passing, both over short and long distances, is top notch, and his crossing feels better than his crossing stat suggests. Coutinho's sprint speed means that he wont really be able to get away from most elite CB's over long distances (and neither can most players to be fair), but over short distances, his acceleration and ball control allows him to evade defenders long enough to get a shot away. He's obviously not particularly strong, but his agility, balance, and ball control usually allow him to retain possession using quick and precise movements even when challenged by a defender. The only major drawback of the card is the stamina. Because he is so useful on the ball, I find myself forcing the play through Coutinho which can really hurt his stamina late in games, but it's generally enough to last 90 minutes. I recommend playing him in a central position to get him very involved in build up play, but he can also be effective on the wing, especially when playing alongside other quick attackers.
