The Refined Hound

I have his untradeable ucl card from the ucl edition choices, but it's been only a couple weeks since i was able to put him into a decent squad.

i gave him powerhouse chem style to play him CDM (91 rated CDM here people!) in 433 (2). his instructions are 'stay back' and 'aggressive interceptions'.

he has stamina for days, he interceps almost everything while he haunts every opponent he sees on the ball within his field of vision.

with powerhouse improving his passing, he's also able to distribute very well from cdm (90 vision / 98 short passing / 87 long passing is insane). i've found him quite successful in playing long, wide balls to wingers from a deep position (like pirlo used to do irl) and in general, since i'm a possession game type of guy and he's in the center of my team, i really like him having this absurd kind of passing stats. that's why i gave him the nickname "refined hound" for this revision, he's been exactly that for me (safe to say that powerhouse chem style contributed in this).

in attack he does not do much other than passing to teammates, tho he managed to get 4 assists in 14 games for me so he's already doing amazing is this department.

M/H Workrates: ideal for a CDM, he puts a lot of work in defense and lightly helps in attack mainly with his great passing and solid dribbling. as i anticipated in the review, he does not chase, he HAUNTS. he's everywhere (just like irl) putting in tackles and interceptions. Absolutely class in the defensive department.

Passing (10/10) with powerhouse he almost has perfect stats, his vision - short - long passing are basically the same as freaking MODRIC (no lies, go check) so yeah you get an idea. pintpoint long passes to winger or striker, very accurate in closer distribution (fullbacks, midfielders). just perfect.

Dribbling (9/10 thanks to 4*SM). very smooth, his short frame also helps him and with 87 reactions he's very responsive. he's nowhere near messi or neymar of course, but for what he does he's amazing even in dribbling.

Stamina and Aggression (the latter + instructions make him feel stronger than he actually his)

Sprint speed (even tho in this game pace in not that important, everyone prefers the fastest possible players. he's not one of them)

Costs way more than regular Allan for such a tiny upgrade (pick him only if you have coins you want to invest for the best possible, if you want to save coins use regular allan)

Strength (kinda compensated by aggression but still lower than you may want)

Just a pleasure to play with. His dribbling and agility are top tier when it comes to CDMs in this game, which is a welcome change compared to many taller, clunky mids with similar strength. The definition of a box-to-box mid, this Brazilian beauty feels like he's everywhere on the pitch at once. You're crazy if you pick another Serie A sbc card.

Honestly i fell in love with this man while i had a Serie A squad. He was a present from an untradeable pack and honestly he will remain with me until the end of time. I tend to sub him on at either the 70th or 85th minute depending. And either as a CM or a CDM. I love him.
