Xherdan Shaqiri - 81 - Normal
Underpowered but still amazing
By Apfelschorle9, 17-11-2018

Shaqiri despite losing pace every year is still a lot of fun to use. His upgrade to 5 star skills means you can still floor defenders in 1 on 1 situations and he can really whip up some majestic long range goals from time to time. He feels very effective to cut left inwards to pass into the centre for an assist or to shoot for a banger. His strength is slightly disappointing as I feel he's been undervalued in this attribute but his excellent balance does help kept him standing upright very occasionally which is still helpful. He takes dangerous free kicks too, I'm not the biggest fan of the run-up animation he has in the game, but I've still managed to scored two with him. Stamina wise he lasts all game for me and is still useful in extra time.

Shooting - Finesse shots and long shots are rockets. Very clinical in the box with Deadeye

Silky smooth dribbling

5 star skill moves

Good composure

Pace is fine for a CAM, but considered slow for a winger

Strength feels slightly less than 73

I'm not sure how long this card will have 90 shooting for but for the duration that it does, he is the best CM/CAM in the game. The amount of games i won purely because of Longshots from Shaqiri is completely ludicrous. He is very well rounded apart from height and defending but lets be honest, he's not in there to defend. He only has 80 pace but feels more like 85/90 and honestly is not a problem. His passing is incredible...

Apline Messi

This player was named "Alpine Messi" during WC by polish commentator. Then it was funny to hear, but now it's true, and he's cheap. For about 15 games I didn't know that he's left footed player
