Player Review
86 - SIF
I've always been a huge fan of Belotti's card, so I was quite excited when I saw this one. He is everything I could have asked for and more. I had been using his previous in form for a long time, but tried to replace him with a few players (mainly Zapata), but nobody can really compare to this card.
Pace:
I use a hawk to get him up to 88 pace which is plenty for the way I use him. For me, he plays more as a target man than someone who is going to get in behind (Mertens next to him does that), but he is more than capable of getting behind defenders at times.
Shooting:
99 positioning, 99 finishing, 97 shot power, with a 5 star weak foot. Need I say more? If he is in front of goal he will score without a doubt. He is the best pure finisher (on either foot) I have used this year by a wide margin. I can't ask for much more than 30 goals in 25 games.
Passing:
The main reason I needed to get away from Zapata was his dreadful passing. Belotti's passing isn't spectacular, but it is not a liability like it is with Zapata. Keep it short and on the ground and you will be fine.
Dribbling:
Again, nothing really special here, but it's not a hindrance to his game either. Agility and balance are a major upgrade over normal bigger/strong strikers like Zapata, and therefore feels far less clunky on the ball. Composure feels like it should be higher (85+) as do his reactions because he is normally always the first guy to get onto the end of deflections/rebounds off the keeper.
Defending:
I don't normally like when my strikers have a high defensive work rates, but Belotti is somewhat the exception to this rule. the stats are a bit deceptive, because he takes the ball off of opposing defenders a few times a game normally, setting up easy chances. As far as his heading goes, what you see is what you get. 94 heading and the power header trait means if he gets to it, it will be a goal (or a long clearance when defending corners).
Physical:
Although he's only 5'11" he plays as if he's far bigger. He is unbeatable in the air, by far the best player I've used for heading (even better than Mandzukic who I thought was just unfair). 93 strength truly shows, because he can easily hold off CBs whether they are going shoulder to shoulder, or he has his back to goal. He goes in hard to every duel, either in the air or when getting pressured by defenders. Stamina is great for a ST, and even with the work rates, it is never problematic.

Ball control could probably be better
