This is a strange review- I followed the Arsenal route and played Auba as a left CAM in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Pace- In a game where pace doesn't particularly matter Aubameyang is FAST.
Dribbling- With a sniper Auba becomes a butterfly on the ball dancing around defenders (OK, so he isnt quite a butterfly and can be a little clunky at times. But he will beat 90% of players with the ball at his feet.
Finesse- Outside the box, inside the box on his right foot a finesse is forcing a save, sailing in or hitting the post.
Headers- From goal kicks i always aim for Auba, he will win the header for ozil, laca or torreira so i can start my attack for real.
Crossing- His passing in general is OK. However crossing on both left + right foot is incredible. Somehow more dangerous that his shooting he will always find Laca, Mkhi or Xhaka in the box.
Price- 230,000+ coins at this point. A literal arm and leg for some players to afford.
Positioning- i'd say 1/3rd of the time he moves too much like a stirker (not a con if he plays ST for sure) but as i start him deeper it can be annoying.
Stam- Playing as a CAM he can get tired late in games.
He's fast, blazing fast, dive in and he's gone, finishing is superb, composure hasn't been an issue in my experience.
Great partner with Aguero or Kane or any other high tear striker as with his height he offers the ability to play as a target forward and allow other to shine
First touch if you don't use the right chem style
This guy is an amazing striker for under a 100k. He gets the job done from just about anywhere. Sometimes he misses some sitters. But he always tend to prove himself and make up for the misses. Hes fantastic at making runs. Decent doing hold up play. He able to pass the ball quite well! Also his 4 star skills is a great help to get past defenders and to finish off with either his right or left foot works wonder. Personally i use a sniper with him
*4 star skills
*misses some chances
*Nation because its hard to link him
I brought Auba for 277k about two weeks ago and used him in the first two weekend leagues. At first I tried him out in some division rivals. At first he felt fast and clinical but wasn't that fast on the ball and scored the odd headers. First couple games Auba was banging them in for me every game and he felt like the best prem striker I used so far in the game. However it all went down hill. After around 10 games and a decent record with Auba he felt a different player. Some games he was unreal some he didn't turn up. I was getting constantly frustrated as on the counter he always wasn't in the right position due to his Med/low work rates. I trired out most instructions but it just made him worse. However I am being quite harsh as he would always bang goals from anywhere. However if you are reading this and have the coins i wouldn't recommend
So, as the tittle says and all the big debates about Aubameyang and Aguero I decided to try Auba first since I had Aguero in fifa 18 (gold and potm card). Aubameyang doesnt feel that fast. For real, he doesnt. His low dribbling stats doesnt allow him to show his pace when he is carrying the ball. I hope he'd show his pace without the ball tho. No. He plays like a target man for a weird reason and not as a fast striker who will move into the space to recieve through passes.
Lets go to finishing now. He's good. Nothing extraordinary but good overall. But when I needed him the most and in difficult angles his finishing wasnt enough. He just scored the easy goals which Jesus, Vardy and Zaha can easily accomplish that. For a 300k striker I;d suggest you to stay away until he drops like a 100k. He lacks something and he doesnt feel like the card you imagine that you're buying. He will score dont get me wrong but for 300k you want something more. Finesse shots are the deal this year and he cant score those from wide angles like Aguero currently does for me but he can from the OP angles (outside of the box. He's games/score ratio was okay. 11/9.
Overall to get the msot out of him I suggest to use markman on him to raise both of his finishing and dribbling attributes. I also tried hawk and he feels the same so stick with something else. Pair him up in a 2 strikers formation in order to make 1-2 passes and make those runs eventually.
Im being a little harsh as Im reading this but he didnt suit my gameplay. Im preety sure for others he might be a very good playr but if you tyry someone else from the high tierr strikers you will see what Im talking about. Go for Aguero for real. He can pass and score so nice the ball. If you want a target man go for Kane or Lukaku for real.
Finishing I guess
Sometimes he remembers to make a run into the space
Strength, he can keep the ball but dont expect him to move left or right the left analog to avoid the tackles and make a through pass like Jesus and other agile cards.
Value for money ofc!
He plays like a target man
Left foot seems like 3 stars
