To be frank, this year I loved Pogba and he is way better than last year (maybe undeserved but it’s not my business and its just a game…) but only in online seasons while in weekend league, he didn’t meet my expectations and I decided to try Zidane for his pace and other iconic abilities :) who is similar to Pogba due his height and body type with skills of course.
Despite being a baby icon, he is even better than baby
Ronaldo (who I tried and sold quickly since he is awful this year) as a baby
icon and he performed very well and continue to perform since I am not planning
to sell him in the short term.
He is agile, fast and everywhere. Shooting is perfect and even DDG cant save her shots and you don’t need timed shooting with him. Behind Mbappe and Neymar, he is so strong and leading the gameplay by also coming deep to take the ball even if I instructed to stay forward which is nice cause he is strong and his long passing is also great in game. I believe that he will be more expensive since 2.5 mio is nothing for such a card while Eusebio and others are around 3 mio and more.

Headers are below expectations but the game is broken in that sense so its not an actual con.
Played 250 games with him at CAM, ST, CM, and he's brilliant at all three. I've also put hunter, engine and hawk Chem styles on him and here is what I've found. At CDM you want an engine on him, because pace is not as necessary when playing the deeper roles. Being a bigger player he is not as shifty/agile at Kante, or IF Torreira, but has better ability to spring your counter attack with skills, and passing ability. His attacking qualities are very much wasted here. At striker the lack of elite agility and balance let him down against elite defenders. I found him running into the defender often because he needs more room than Griezmann or Messi to go through the animations. However if you play with him like a Vardy, and he's out pacing everyone in the back or using his high strength to gain the advantage. He's best running at players from CAM/CM with the hunter chem style. He has more space to pick out a pass, and dribble, and tends to make the late run into the box opposite the ball. I would recommend him if you have the coins to play with, but I would not be trading in RTTF cards to get him as his price is probably at it's ceiling.

- Preferable to the 94? (Maybe, at least for the price, the 94 is not much better and slower) (I know I'll get killed for this one)
- Agility (Lack of elite agility makes him feel a bit laboured in the box when you don't have momentum)
- Price ( Most players will never afford him, and when they can, he will be a poor investment)
I would like to make a premise, my level in WL is gold 1 or 2 and in previous FIFA I used players like Leo Messi, CR7, Ronaldinho Prime and others. Zidane is the best player I've ever used. I use a 433 (5) with central midfielder Zidane and it's surreal: - It's everywhere, it starts the action and often two or three steps later it is in a dangerous position where it can score; - With the ball you can do whatever you want, it has an incredible dribble and is very agile (with maestro chem); - The shots are fantastic, both soft and powerful. In front of the goalkeeper he has excellent finalization statistics; - Movements without the ball perfect for building constructed and unpredictable ball and chain actions; - Clean and ingenious passages (even if it is more realizer than assist-man in my game). To conclude, in 127 games he scored 122 goals, as a central midfielder !!! (75% used in rivals and WL and 25% in squad battle) If you want to have fun, if you want to remember its elegant movements and you miss it then buy it!

Stamina, but with 88 and in a CM position it is normal, since he Runs a lot in the spaces

I'm playing on Playstation 4 in Divsion 1 and achieving mostly Elite 3 or Elite 2 at Weekend League.
This year my first Icon was 91 Zidane and I am still playing with him after more than 188 Games in Divsion Rivals / Weekend League.
In my opinion the playermodel is very important in FIFA e.g. Vieira or Gullit. I can guarentee you that the playermodel of 91 Zidane is very good.
He is tall with 185 cm and having nearly the same playermodel like Gullit 90. He is dominating the middlefield and whenever you need him he will be there,
Zidane is a allrounder and very deadly in front of the goal with 5 stars weakfoot and skillmoves. With shadow I didn't pushed his shots, but believe me all shots arround the box are deadly.
In total 88 stamina are still enough to play at least 90 minutes. When I am entering extra time I am not switching him and he didn't felt slowly or clunky for me.
Many games I could decide for me in the last minutes thanks to a goals or deadly pass by Zidane.
As you can see I am playing Zidane (8) next to Gullit (6) and the runs and offensive skills of Zidane are way better than Gullit.
In general my team is very good and of course better than compared 90% of FIFA players, but this should show you how good he performs at the middlefield.
If you don't have the coins for Gullit and you need a huge, strength offensive middlefield player -> you have to take baby Zidane.
I am not preferring middle Zidane due to lack of balance, agility, stamina and defensive stats.

He doesn't have that much defensive stats. Please don't use him as a defensive middlefield player (6).
Zidane is one of very, very few people who would force my 94 De Bruyne out of the central CAM spot in a 4-2-3-1. Alongside previously mentioned 94 KDB & 87 Del Piero in the other CAM spots, Zizou rules the midfield in every sense. A 6'1" figure whose 84 strength and 5 star weak foot & skill moves turn a sublime box-to-box midfielder into a 90 minute ball winning (and passing) machine. As soon as I changed my chemistry formation to accomodate this card, I applied an Engine chemistry style to it, to give that 84 pace just that little boost it needs. After all, I have pace elsewhere on the field. You'll notice I've given this card 4.5 stars out of 5 for value for money, I tried to be impartial and think of the 2.3M coins he costs, but the reality is that I packed him out of a Base Icon SBC pack, using predominantly untradeables and spending 50K on the cards I didn't have. That being said, I think giving him 5 stars would be misleading considering I am in the aforementioned negligible, blessed minority. Just for the record, I think 2.3 million for this card is probably spot on with its in-game value.
Where to start... dribbling, passing, 5 star weak foot, 5 star skill moves, height, shooting, reasonable (and easily treatable) pace, strength is good, 85 interceptions, 88 stamina. His long shots in particular feel very Cristiano-esque, by that I mean most long shoots look and feel like knuckle balls off the boot. Of course my Engine chemistry style doesn't boost Zizou's shooting, but it doesn't need boosting at all for me. His unbelievably smooth passing finds Drogba making the best runs in behind the defence. This card really adds size and power to my CAM trio.
These are pretty tame, the obviously one straight away (at least for me) was 65 aggression. 59 defensive awareness also meant not playing him at CDM, even though I haven't tried it to know it doesn't 100% work. 75 jumping can be boosted easily if you're adamant enough to use him what I assume would be more defensively, but 67 slide tackle is far too low. I guess what I'm saying is don't use him at CDM, because...
1) That would be an enormous waste, keeping in mind how eye watering he is in attack.
2) You'd be making statistical compromises like the 59 defensive awareness & 65 aggression I mentioned earlier.
Despite how wasteful it'd be to play him at CDM, he does make some very strong tackles while roaming midfield in search of his next assist or Marseille turn. End of the day, defensively he's good but not great.
First off, I'm a casual player who loves to try new players, meta or not. With getting lucky in my player picks and TOTS packs I decided to sell all of my players and buy baby Zidane.
Before playing with Zidane I´ve played two hundred games with mid Del Piero. When I bought Zidane the difference between the two was noticeable: Zidane is on another level, still in May. And I'm excited to tell you why. Let's review him!
Pace 9/10: Let's be honest, you're not going to buy Zidane because of his blistering pace. But hunter makes the pace a whole lot better. With 96 acceleration and 93 sprint speed he can outrun some defenders, but the most important thing about his pace is the fact that he is fast enough to outrun defenders in the most important moments in the game. Quick combinations with your wingers and striker are one of the greatest things of this card.
Shooting 9.5/10: What can I say except phenomenal? shooting inside the box is on another level. 9/10 shots went in. His 5-star weak foot was a major pro, left/, right? It all went in the back of the net. The finesse shot trait is a pro, this causes that the goalkeeper just cannot stop the goals from being scored. Surprisingly, Zidane also scored many goals from outside the box. But don't overestimate him, he also misses some opportunities, because Zidane is just a human being.
Passing 10/10: This is the reason why I found Zidane a game-changer. 92 vision, with 93 short passing, 88 long passing, and that 5-star weak foot make him one of the best passers in the game. Every short pass and 99% of the long passes arrived at a player on my side. If he messes up a pass his standing tackle is good enough to recover.
Dribbling 9.9/10: Amazing dribbling, honestly one of the best dribblers I've used in this game. With his 5-star skillmoves you're just humiliating players. L1 dribbling is the most effective and fun to use. The fun factor with the man is also a reason you should buy him, I'm not the best player of the game (casually Gold 2) but the shooting, dribbling, and passing combination makes him one of the best players I've used. The only downside is his agility and balance, but that wasn't a problem for me.
Defending 7.5/10: I've played him in different positions, As a cam, and as a cm. In both positions he was a beast. His interceptions and standing tackle helped a lot ingame. You shouldn't play him as a CDM, but he is a monster as a CAM or as a CM
Physical 8/10: His 88 stamina is good enough to last al game, but you notice that he becomes tired in extra time. (Nothing special, I play with Messi and Rashford, and they get tired too.) His strength makes him fun to use too. He can out muscle most of the backs and center-mids.
Conclusion:
If you have the coins you should definitely buy Zidane, he is a complete card with everything you need as a CAM or as a CM. You can't get any player better moneywise, if you are looking for a fun, meta and above all a good player Zidane is your man.
