First of all, i´m a spanish guy and my english is not good enough, sorry for the gramatic mistakes.
I try Drogba in a 4-4-2 between Kylian at STs and.. wow.
Is very big in the pitch and is so far the better striker in the game before the great icons (Ronaldo, Eusebio, Pele)
I think is like CR7, but with 90+ strenght he can fight with VVD and not sweat . And also like Ibra tots last year, with 90 of pace.
In 35 match, he broke all my team records. 56 goals and 28 assists.
My recomendation is pull him engine or hunter and go to destroy opponents.
Is certanly that he is not very good at pass, but if you play with CAM that´s not a problem.
·Pace. He is not Eusebio or Kyllian, but with the pace+strenght he has, he is like a very good runner.
·Strenght. Wow man, wow. In the begining of Fifa 20, i hate play versus VVD or Pique Scream because even if they aren´t sprinters, with there strenght they pulled my kyllian away every match. With Drogba these not happen.
·Shotting. His best stat. Don´t foul anything. Header (yes, you read right) with the left, with the right, freekick, penalty kicks..
·Defense. WTF I´m reading. Man.. if you pull back this guy at middle center, is a CDM more. And with his stamina he can run fast to the area and kick the ball before VVD blink his eyes!!
· A bit clunky. Yes, he isn´t Messi, All knows these, but in delay games is right he turn into a way of Busquets.
·Pass. Again, yes, he isn´t Messi. He doesn´t the best assists in the game, therefore he only take over to run, shoot, and score beautiful goals
Let me keep this short and sweet. If you have tried the Baby and Mid version of Dorgba you may be left underwhelmed. I was, he felt like he did back in FIFA 12 which wasn't great.
Now i am sure EA decided to change the body type/animation of his prime due to how underwhelming the players found the first 2 versions as i do no know of any other Icon that has a different body type other than Maradona, i could be wrong though?
anyway, if you see a comment saying 'He is good once you get used to him' i would take that as a 'this player hasn't actually used the card, and is a seller' becuase if you cannot get on with his prime i have no idea what you want in a striker
So fast (animation upgrade) trust me feels more like 95/95
95% goal in front of net
feels like 5 star weak foot
NOT CLUNKY AT ALL
Passing, ignore the stats.
6'2 and although turning and dribbling is great with Sniper/Engine he isn't a Garrincha/Messi/Neymar who turns on a dime.
Please, don't get me wrong with the title. I just can't describe how good Didier Drogba is in simple words.
I am not native speaker, so if you spot any grammar mistakes don't be angry at me.
I tried many different icons and "well-established" strikers during the FIFA 20 lifetime. I have even used KDB TOTY card as ST for some time - just for fun of having such rare card. Still only Didier Drogba delivered what I expect from striker/poacher, because that's how I use him in my squad. I have also used Ronaldo (baby), but because I am not a good skiller I was always pushed aside. Well, with Drogba other players ARE pushed aside. When he gets a ball inside penalty area it's a 95% chance, that you will score. Varane? Nice name for a midget. Gomez? VVD? Pfff... Try harder. Drogba is an animal if it comes to how well he manages to fight shoulder to shoulder. The only downside of this card is, that he lacks Finesse Shot trait, which you can really feel while trying to score nice, curved ball towards further post. What's more he only works well with Engine Chemistry Style on hime. Otherwise he feels too clunky to be useful. If I can directly compare his physicality to other player this year, Drogba is like Kane 93, but on steroids and way faster.
Also don't expect Drogba to pass in a nice well. He is good at short passing, but that's mainly it. That's why if you play Drogba as lone striker like I do, make sure, that he is well supported with good CAM - in my case it's IF Neymar.
The biggest con - Not your everyday, meta beast, that will do plenty of skill moves, rotate 720 degress in blink of an eye.But if you deliver a ball to him, oh boy, he will smash the opponent.
Pace - for a player with such physique and physical stats he feels really fast. Specially with Engine Chemstyle which boosts his Agility and Balance.
Strenght - simple put? Pure muscles. I always had problems to pass through VVD and Varane. Now, I ram them with pure POWER.
Sometimes when I take him far back he is able to push everyone while defending. That's something I never experienced in FIFA 20 yet. He abuses EVERYONE?
clunky - He isn't meta per se with his clunkiness and physical strenght, but if you give him Engine Chemistry it will make a huge difference. Still his is able to nicely rotate in penalty area.
passing - not great, not terrible
Balance - it happened to me few times, that he fall down without any reason, but who cares if he gets up, takes ball from defender and scores.
Absolute Beast! He makes Fifa fun. I was so tired of the game and being in quarantine decided to go for the most fun option available. So I got the best version of Drogba I could with my coins.
The combination of pace strength and TOTY level shooting along with 4* skills is unbelievable. Use him to his strengths and you will be laughing every time he shrugs off a meta defender (VVD, Varane, Ferdinand) and bangs one in the back of the net. Buy him now! Do not wait! Ditch the meta and live your fifa life to the fullest
