I took Bahebek the minute I saw him and after doing him I felt I would like to go for an Eredivisie-French hybrid team this Weekend League (you can see the team in the link, all the players are untradable, except Griezman, who is a gamechanger). Without playing too focused and with a lot of delay, I managed to do 19 wins with 6 losses - would have gone for the 20, but the time expired so I couldn't. But let's go into the review.
I played Bahebek as an ST in a 4 2 3 1, with Griezman CAM, Promes LCAM, Dembele RCAM, which were all new to me, using them for the first time this FIFA. Used him all this weekend league and I must say he is a good, strong Target man who can pass as well. He has nice strength, so he can shield the ball. At the same time, I liked his agility and balance. He is not at all clunky.
In some games, he scored or assisted a lot (like 3 or 4 goals or/and assists) and in others, he was just not there, so the other 3 attacking players shared the exposure.
I did him for 0 coins (had all the players stacked in the club), so I can say the price is a big PRO.
Even though if you don't have the cards, if you bid and not buy now, you can get him for free or for very cheap. I say he plays like a 100-200k player, being on par with my Aubameyang POTM).
Link-up play (passing, positioning in one-twos, the way he moves on the pitch).
Good links with some Eredivisie players, who always perform well in FIFA (like Promes OTW, Bazoer who I did as well, Tagliafico IF and 86 card, Malen, Bergwijn etc.)
Good French link with some amazing players, as you all know so I won't enter into any more details.
He missed some easy chances, which I was convinced he will score, but made up with his overall play. He is not 100 percent reliable in front of the goal, but for the price, he is more than decent.
He does not have his real face in-game, which is important for me.
Its him - the CheapMbappe.
After i saw the Player popping up in the "new players" window i knew i want to try him.
I used Mbappe before, but since i do not have Neymar there was no need for the strong link.
And let me say this, he is (as far as i can evaluate) neither worse nor better (if this is even possible) than Mbappe.
He performs similar, playstyle - dribbling - finishing - neither everything you want in Mbappe Bahebeck got it too.
So in my opinion if you are low on budget and used Mbappe while being comfortable with his Gameplay, you should give him a try - even if it is risky since he will be untradeable.
Last to mention i only used it on ST as lonely striker so im not quite sure if he is fitable to other Positions / Formations.
Gold 1 - Player.
Overall Rating 8/10 - Hes not total Endgame.
Value for money 10/10 - totally worth it.
GameChanger 8/10 - He is but of course there are still players like R9 Prime...
Stamina 8/10 - its ok and he will be able to play 120 Minutes easily but there are guys with bit more.
- Everythink you may like in Mbappe. (-Skills -WorkRate)
- He is low Budget.
- Even if he is untradeable you may not "loose" more coins than buying Mbappe over time. (since Mbappe is slowly loosing Value)
- You know those hard passes from baseline when your Striker somehow misses the target standing in the 5Yard box? - he will not miss the target.
- WorkRates are not a Problem, at least for me.
- You may be able to get Weekly-Ziyech in your Team.
- He is untradeable.
- He will be harder to link.
- 3* Skills may be a problem to you.
- No EndGameCard but will fit at least till march (in my opinion)
- I had to put the "little brother"-celebration on "B"-Button since he does not perform it with "A"
Before i packed Ronaldo, this guy as my striker, and if i werent so lucky, Bahebeck would still lead my attacks, but now i would have to be stupid to bench CR7. I wanted a fast striker with good dribbling because that is the type of front man i need. Because every striker that i had either wasnt fast enough, agile enough or even good at finishing, as soon as i saw this SBC i knew he is the chosen one. I always played him on 7 or 8 chem, remember that. I still use him in sb from time to time just to remember how fun he is. He can do everything, finish, pass, dribble, hold up play, outpaces defenders, he literally is the most hidden gem in FIFA history for me. He needs sniper to boost his composure you might say, nope that is alright tbh, i have marskman on him to boost his physical stats. You really wont regret getting him trust me.
For a ST, even at this stage of FIFA, very good pace, any chem style with shooting and dribbling will boost everything close to the max, apart from balance(which is fine at 82), composure(which is not bad for 80), and positioning which we will get back in a second. His workrates are kinda weird, but having medium/low is good for me, since he will push back a little to help in the build up play, also his passing is actually very good for a ST, missing a bit in one area but the rest are impressive for a ST. His physical for a guy that has over 90 agility and over 80 balance is amazing, nothing wrong to say there not even the stamina, he doesnt run like a headless chicken cause of his workrates so that stat is not amazing, but for the price and the type of card is actually is.
Positioning is kinda strange, not bad but sometimes i wish he made a run but chose not to, so that could be a con if you are bad at build up but not that big, this comes as a problem rarely at Bae Beck. His composure can let you down from time to time, he wont miss those easy chances like never, but some hard shots that u would usually score, he might miss them. His vision and long passing i wish that could have been better, but you dont usually see a ST with passing so i will forgive him for that, even though vision is alright, it could have been higher.
