TL;DR - if you've got a bundes team or a bundes hybriud - you need him.
I had the 87 Werner who was 280 games 470 goals for me with half as many assists and I thought, I can't imagine the 89 will be much better but I'm going to do it anyway because I have the cards and the 87 was unbelievable. Let me tell you now, the difference is MASSIVE.
Pace
His normal Card is fast, the 87 was faster and managed to pull away from defenders after a step or two. The first touch you take past a defender with this card 9 times out of 10 is a goal. His reactions make him so quick to turn and run with the ball it's unbelievable. I've found myself turning on the halfway line past a defender and before they've wheeled around to chase I'm already halfway to their box. Ridiculous pace.
Dribbling
Overall really good, much better than the 87 in terms of reaction speed and dribbling, reactions are mega, makes turning and breaking so so good. I would suggest using something Chem style wise that boosts agility, 86 is perfectly fine (I use HAWK) but sometimes he's a tiny bit sluggish if you're running at players with the ball, if he's clear on goal it's not a problem but if you trying to jink around a defender it can be a little bit jarring and it makes it difficult. I'm used to it though from the 87. Good ball control and Composure (79) isn't an issue whatsoever.
Shooting
Perfection, the 87 on steroids. Finesse across goal or laces from the edge or inside and it's a goal. 10 out of 10. 42 games 84 goals. As was the case with his base and the 87 - Can't chip a ball to save his life.
Defending
Not a defender - doesn't really matter as I set him to stay forward, aggressive and fast enough to win a ball back from a defender though.
Passing
Pretty good! much better than his 87, 25 assists from 42 games with Salah as his strike partner is absolutely fine imo. Bad at chipping the ball over the top same as shooting but on the ground, perfectly fine.
Physical
Probably the least appealing side of the card but with hawk it makes the jumping 87 and pushes the strength and aggression over 75 (75 and 78 respectively) which shows in game because he's pretty comfortable pushing past defenders and trying to shove them off the ball, however unsuccessfully, and it does result in him scoring goals from players who take too long on the ball defensively. 90 Stamina shows as he keeps going well into extra time no problem.
The man does what he says on the tin really, he's unbelievably quick to the point he leaves even the fastest defenders (Ferdinand, Hernandez et al) in the dust and has amazing shooting at the end of those runs, and the G2G ratio shows it. 42 games 84 goals 25 assists all in rivals and Fut Champs. He's a machine and he will get you goals and definitely will win you games. If you've got a bundesliga team or a bundesliga hybrid or even just want a striker you can build a team around, you absolutely should get this card. For Money he is expensive but you aren't going to get a better striker this year (or at very least at this point) for the same value as this card.

overall a beast. this man has the pace to clap any defence and shoots like pele on crack. one problem with him is that he is overlooked by players who rate boss baby haaland better. basically man is class and no one can argue it, not eve he people I smashed I 7 against.

pace:
unbelievable he will smoke absolutely any defender in the game, trust me
shooting:
shooting is almost perfect, in the box this man wont miss, near post, far post or finesse shots will go in every time (on his right foot) however, due to lack of composure his chip shots are questionable and obviously with a four star weak foot, shooting on his left is not as reliable as his right. From the edge of the box he again is brilliant
Dribbling:
this is not a player who you are going to want to be trying to beat 5 men at a time with - more of a one-two in behind player.
However his driblling is by no means terrible, his dragbacks ball rolls and fake shots are all pretty smooth and he is reliable with the ball at his feet, however the three star skills is a slight issue for me
passing: as a striker the only passing stat of huge significance to me is short passing, and this is generally reliable i play him alongside bernardo silva moments, and this works nicely as Werner can easily give a accurate short pass to him, before running in behind and receiving the ball back, the rest of his passing stats are by no means ideal but definitely not terrible
defending:
Not something i can comment too much about, his pace into tackles can sometimes win me the ball, but generally strikers defending is not important
Physical:
last but not least is his physical, heading is pretty much useless this game so i couldnt care less about jumping to be honest, but he seems to be able to win the ball in the air even against some of the taller defenders. His stamina is brilliant and you will not have to sub him off, even leading into ET. and his strength and agression is generally decent, usually due to his pace he doesnt spend much time shoulder to shoulder with defenders, but when he does, he can hold his own
general thoughts:
best position is in a two striker formation for the one-twos in behind which work very nicely, but is also deadly as a lone striker
best chemistry style is a marksman, this comes after trying sniper, marksman, and also maestro
worth the coins? absolutely.
all games have come in weekend league or rivals
insane pace

4* weakfoot is not bad
good price for a player of his quality
3* skills and lack of balance means he is not a player to jinx three or four defenders
If you are thinking twice about doing this card, DO IT!!!! Zero regrets, I needed someone who would make FIFA fun for me again and this did it, he is a game changer. For some reason he performed much better in the 41212(2) than the 4231 but he is still amazing. Do not hesitate and do this card!
