Der Beste Torhüter den ich bis jetzt gepielt hab (Preis bis 150k). Besonders stark bei Schüssen aus ca. 11 Metern. Bei Fernschüssen reicht es dank seiner Größe ihn nur ein bisschen zu verschieben und nichts geht rein. Definitiv die Coins wert. Dazu noch der strong link zu Varane, Ramos und Militao. Am Anfang hat er zwar nichts gehalten aber nach ein paar Spielen war er echt stark.

Because of his size, he gets his hands on most crosses and longshots and he is very hard to overplay. Rather than that, everything else is as good as you would expect from any high rated goalie. He is not the best (but still very good) in 1 vs 1 situations and in terms of reactions (compared to MATS and Oblak, who i both used before him quite some time), but his size and composure make up for that.
Ratings of goalies are highly subjective at FIFA 20, but for me, he has the edge over Ter Stegen and Oblak. They both had their problems to deal with crosses and were bad at throwballs and goalkicks. Other than that, the three are more or less equally good overall.
I always put full confidence in him that he does never let me down. And, what should I say, he never lets me down.

So, i needed a replacement for ederson so i thought this looks a good card. When i play with him he has good games and awful games, some games he lets goals in that bronze keepers could save. There is much better options out there like Ter Stegen, Oblack, De Gea.

I made this card inicially because I had Oblak and I needed the coins, so when this card came out and I realize that I could do it by just using untradables from my team I gave it a try.
I realized that this card has 4 stats 99 in basic so I let it that way and I thought to myself: "I sold oblak and made this card for free, this is awesome".
Let me tell you, it wasn't.
I read everywhere that in this fifa, goalkeepers stats don't mean nothing, because they're all trash, and I agree, but this card is worst than that.
Some saves that should be easy escape from this keepers hands like butter. Sometimes he plays like god but sometimes it plays like a blind crippled man in the posts.
Compared with my old Oblak, De Gea or even Rui Patricio, this card feels worst. I haven't tried ter Stegen but I might trade him for him and use this card for SBCs since it was free for me.

One of the worst keepers I've ever had. That SBC looked very good, you only needed 84 rated squad to get him. But he was so bad, he was able to concede goals against silver defenders. I once played Pickford instead of him (Courtois got a red card) and he was able to get a clean sheet, instead of Courtois. Please stay miles away from him.

I am big fan of Real Madrid and I really like Thibo so I was hoping he would be as good as the card looks. Back in FIFA 19 his basic card was best gk in game for me (even better than TOTS Oblak or TOTS Alisson). I play Ter Stegen from the beginning of FIFA 20 and now I am glad to put him back into my team as a replacement for Thibo. Courtois has troubles with every shot that goes from inside the box since he is very slow in terms of making the saves. He is very good in saving shots from outside the box but not better than Stegen. I hoped he would be very good in terms of catching crosses but he punches away 90% of them. His kicking is not bad but also not as good as Ter Stegen's. So overally he is not better than Stegen and he is probably worse than some other high rated goalkeepers like Alisson.

Debo decir que antes de usar a este Courtois, estuve usando a Ter Stegen NIF y al momento de sustituirlo el equipo se vino en picada, soy una persona que le gusta jugar con mucha intensidad y mis porteros se vuelven parte fundamental del equipo.
Probé a Thibaut unos 8 partidos en Rivals y el resultado no pudo ser peor, todos los tiros al arco son gol, no ataja absolutamente nada y al momento de sacarlo para presionar al delantero se le nota demasiado lento, tiro que eventualmente logra tapar se convierte en un rebote al rival para que vuelva a rematar.
Como decimos en mi país no le llega ni a los talones a Ter Stegen ni a ningún otro portero top, me atrevería a decir que ni siquiera está al nivel de un Kepa o Leno que son porteros con carencias pero consistentes.
Altura, agresividad en los saques de esquina.
Links verdes con defensas top del Madrid.
Lento.
No ataja nada.
Por el costo del SBC todas las opciones son mejores.

I absolutely regret doing this SBC. I only did him because I needed a green link to Militao, but now with the release of Areola's Winter Refresh card, I will be turning to him instead.
Anyways, Courtois is the most pathetic goalkeeper I have ever used in the game. Where do I even start... 95% of shots from inside the box goes in, can't cover his near post for sh*t, always parries shots back towards your opponent which leads to conceding rebounds and reflexes are awful.I've genuinely never been THIS pissed off at FIFA before, and who would've thought the reason would be because of this retarded piece of sh*t. This weekend league I played my entire 30 games with him and I finished the lowest I've ever finished this FIFA.

I had his base version for nearly 200 games and he was really inconsistent, then I saw the SBC up, it was cheap so i decided to give it try. Huge mistake.
POTM Courtois is the GK that looks fantastic but it's actually a waste of coins unless you need a link to Varane/Militao. The very first thing you'd expect from a tall GK is that his height would be an advantage on crosses or to make that save that requires a little more size to get to the ball but he won't do that, he's very static when compared to other La Liga GKs such as Ter Stegen or Oblak. Despite the 99s (with basic chem) across the main areas, they don't feel like 99s and i'll break it down a litte.
- Diving: He's tall but it seems that it doesn't play a factor, the feeling i had was that it would hurt him more than help. He should get to the ball but he doesn't jump the way you'd expect. Medium/Long distance shots are not a problem, the real issue is inside the box.
- Handling: He can't hold the ball, especially during crosses, and we're talking about a 6'6 GK who shouldn't have that problem. Also when deflecting shots a couple times it went straight to my opponent, something a 99 skills shouldn't be doing that often.
- Reflexes: Another 99 that doesn't feel like 99, it feels way slower than his rating shows and it's something you really notice on short distance shots and when you compare to other GKs
- Positioning: This actually felt like a 99 and he was always in position to stop the shot or cross but couldn't based on previous skills comments.
Overall: Unless you really love him or need a green link, skip this SBC and get yourself someone else, you can find much better GKs for cheap and invest in other areas/SBCs.
