Hi everybody, this is my first review and I would also like to say that I got him from the Icon pack, so there's no 15 million-bias.
As I said above, I decided to do an Icon pack... Brazil... ST... Moments, what a pull.
I put him immediately in the squad, 4231, Striker position with Maestro chem style.
What impresses me the most of R9 is the composure and positioning, something I noticed also when I tried him in draft. He's always in the right position when ball comes from a cross or long ball from the wings and his composure helps with scoring and getting the ball in the most absurd events (he comes first than defenders, if the ball gets deviated he gets it). If it is a clutch situation you know it's a goal.
On the other hand, when it's a normal situation he can miss some of the easiest goals and he might hit the post too much sometimes. Anyways, in general, his shooting is incredible from everywhere inside the area AND outside, he shoots some missiles that will bend the goalkeeper's hands.
If I said before that positioning is very good from area-situations, due to the med/med work-rates, you cannot tell the same about running and counterattack situations, where you will find him standing still when all the other teammates are running to the opponents area. Therefore you will have to put "get in behind" instruction but it's not something I like to do as I feel it ruins the true movements of a player. Probably pairing him with another faster and more agile striker is the way to go.
Speaking of dribbling, it's very inconsistent. It gets from world class to clunky: you can strafe dribble through the opponent's defenders without having problems and then he gets tired and start losing the ball when receiving a pass.
Another thing that I don't like is the passing, it seems he cannot get a through ball right, he always messes up counterattacks (as he's left behind and so becomes the CAM). Probably he sees passing lines I cannot see but certainly not the ones I want!
Last thing is the physical: having an attacker with this shooting and mental abilities AND this type of physic is incredible, if you help with L2/LT shielding he can then turn and shoot some astounding screamers.
Final considerations: Is he worth it? He's not "meta" compared to the most agile players (I played with Ben Yedder, Dembele SH..) but if you want to have fun and you have a lot of coins go for it (he's worth losing the taxes).
Some say the Prime is better due to body-type being lighter, I never tried it, let's hope for the next Icon pack!
This is going to be an honest review because this version of R9 costs a lot and even you can sell this guy back into the market with guaranteed full price, you still going to lose significate amount of tax to EA.
He is the second best finisher in the game (I put Eusebio Moment the first place). But I still rank R9 Moment as the most enjoyable ST in this game as he has thick body type with fair amount of strength in combination with 5* skill. The combination of stats/body type/and traits makes this guy so fascinating.
Now his downside. Stamina, even though he can last whole game if you put him as stay forward ST. But later in the game 70+, his stats seems drop, becoming more clunky and slower. We need to accept that this version of R9 fixes the clunkiness of lower versions but when his stamina drops, you might not able to play him at his full capability. And that might be the reason why people mentioned that he is clunky.
Is he worth the price of 15 mil?
Yes, if you love him in real life.
No, if you are results oriented.
I enjoy using him a lot. He makes the different, but honestly I need to sub him off at 65th mins when I expect a result.

First off lemme start off by saying I sold toty mbappe in form Messi and moments henry to get this card. I paid 14 mil in total for this guy.I wasn't sure at first selling such good players for this card but tthen I just thought screw it, i am going to do it. I am a elite 1 player so I was happy with how my team was functioning. With this guy... OMG. HE IS INSANE. Every dragback or skill is just crisp perfect. There are literally nothing bad about this guy. Shooting, dribbling and pace are phenomenal. At times he was feeling faster than toty mbappe.His record is 38 goals and 19 assists in 23 games for me. I am loving this guy. One thing to be said though is that sometimes he got dispossesed by baby ferdinand. For the premium price u are paying for this guy you would expect him go past everyone with ease but that's just the small con with this guy.My red rewards were better than usual too. I got coman and scharr. If I were to compare him to a player it would be toty mbappe and maybe toty ronaldo. All 3 of them are rapid but compared to them R9 was better at dribbling and just a tad better at shooting. Shots are insane with this guy. Anything that this guy hits will go top corner.I think he is the best card I have tried out so far. Although people might argue that there are players who are just as good for less money but they are wrong. Everything this dude does is just different and better.Gets along great with potm neymar as well.
Keeping it short and simple. This guy is VERY hit and miss i dont play FUT champs but in rivals in really bad gameplay he is very clunky And just does not fit the "Meta". BUT in somewhat okay gameplay he is a monster to the point where he will literally score every single chance he has but the issue with that is the gameplay is mostly shite ;/ the question is he worth 15mil? Well yes but no, IMO i prefer TOTY cr7 and is the best player in the game bad gameplay and semi okay gameplay so if you have the coins just buy CR7
