He's just soooooo good in everything. Apart from the 3 star weak foot I have nothing bad to mention about him.

This is my first ever review, so I hope I do well ;)
I packed De Jong in a golden upgrade pack and he fitted perfectly into my squad. I had a red Henderson as well and I played him and Frenkie on the CDM in a 4231 formation. Henderson was held behind and Frenkie was the box-to-box midfielder. I like to play with an extra player in attack, so I have extra options while attacking.
Normally I'm a gold 2/3 player, but with the team I had this weekend (due to immense packluck last week), it was very easy for me to reach gold 2. With that said, let's go on to Frenkie now:
As I said I used him as a classic CM.
Shooting
His shooting is very good for a CM card. He scored a few longshots just outside the box in my WL. Also his runs into the box are pretty good. I play prime Bergkamp on the CAM with TOTS Richarlison in the striker position. The combinations I made with Bergkamp-De Jong were amazing. I love to play the tiki-taka way on FIFA and with those players up front, it worked fantastically. I could pass the ball to Bergkamp, hit triangle to De Jong and shoot with him in the closest corner. His finishing stat is not amazing, but ingame it feels much better.
Pace
Nothing more wanted from a CM.
Passing
Well then, I haven't played the best players this fifa yet, but I'm sure this guy is one of the top 8 passing players in the game. Long passes, short passes, through balls... He doesn't care. The ball just goes to the right person every single time.
Dribbling
As I said earlier, his passing is amazing and so is his dribbling. He feels so smooth on the ball. He finishes every skillmove before you can even blink with your eyes. I don't use that much skill moves, but with 4* he is amazing with his feet. His ball control is so high, as the stats say.
You probably expected that passing and dribbling were his best stats and with his body type, his defending would be less. Well, he proved me wrong.
Defending
That guy is so good at defending as well. I just click O at the right time and he'll get the ball. He is a very steady defensive mid and he surprised me here. His standing tackles were amazing and he stood very well every time. His defensive positioning is also really good. I select my CDM's and just wait until my opponent does something dangerous, because that's the best way to defend I think. Frenkie stood very well every time and was covering a lot of passing lines when I selected Henderson.
Physical
With the body type he has, you'd expect him to get pushed of the ball very easily, but that's not true at all. He is very steady on his feet and keeps on his feet. Even when a Kanté, Mbabu or Petit is trying to deal with him. Stamina is 94, but with the way I played him I did get him out around the 70th minute.
This card is amazing and if you can afford him, buy him.
On the arrival of the la Liga tots, I was able to pick this guy up from my red picks . I play de Jong in CDM next to summer heat Ndombele. If your looking for a holding midfielder with very balanced stats and is able to do it all and dominate in the midfield, then I highly recommend him. His dribbling feels very smooth and very responsive, his shooting is very good and makes him very clinical when in the box. Along with that, during my last weekend league I found that he made very good runs which allowed me to score some insane goals which I thought I never could (4* WF isn't really an issue). In my opinion, I would classify him as one of the top midfielders and I'd say that if your looking to buy other balanced midfielders like Vidal,Goretzka and maybe even Hendo, I think you should save your money and players and give this guy a try. For tactics I used him on balanced and cover center for both attacking and defensive. For me I really enjoy playing him at CDM because of his brilliant stats that make him critical all around. On the other hand, I think he would do well as a central CAM due to his responsiveness and the way in which he is able to position himself to rack up goals for your team.
Dribbling feels very smooth and responsive
Pace is decent but can be better when putting an anchor on him
Defensive awareness is great and tackles are very good to win the ball back for your team
Passing feels very quick and goes straight to the player your giving it to ( you will rarely lose the ball as his passes are very accurate)
The only minor issure I really found with De Jong is his physical but this isn't much of an issue when you stick and anchor on him :)
So i got this card in my red player picks after getting gold 1. When his TOTY was new i saw him as one of the best midfielders in the game. I have played a bit over 100 matches with him in a CDM in a 4231 partnered with TOTSSF Trent. He was really good but i was feeling the lack of weak foot. His right foot tho was something else. His long shot was great and i love his outside the foot shot. His height is perfect and he feels way smoother than trent. I like him better than trent mainly because of his spectacular dribling abilities.
One of the best box to box midfielder I have used. I am not an elite player but just a casual player and I usually end up in G2/G3 in WL. I used to run a full on Serie A team with SIF Naingollan playing as a B2B and I was very happy with him infact I never wanted to change to anyone other than Radja in that role.
I packed this TOTS De Jong card from the untradable rewards from la liga challenge and I was not going to let such high rated card lie waste in club so I remodeled my whole team around him and it was so damm worth it..!!!
It took me first 3 games to get a hold and understand how to use this card properly and once I did there is no stopping this guy literally tears the midfield apart he is literally everywhere..!!
Tracking back, late runs, interceptions, scoring, assisting I mean what more do you want from your midfielder. ?
In fact in my last game I was up against a PL god squad which had TOTS Vardy up top and this guy literally kept him in his pocket didn't let him breathe and was always on Vardy's shoulders to tackle or hassle him off the ball.
If you are in need of midfielder to run the show and control those TOTS strikers then look no further than this guy especially with the price falling down you must give it a try.

For some reason, some time during the game is is always interchanging himself with CAM not sure if it's my instructions or the game mechanics but it's annoying
Missed a couple of 1v1 though he finished a few long shots
Stamina - Though he has high stamina he looses it so much by 90th Min, might not last long for extra time on WL though.
After packing him untradeable a few days ago, I felt really lucky and was thinking this could become one of my best end game squads ever. I know, I don't have much experience with him yet (only in div 2&3 in rivals), but because most people will buy him the next couple of days, I felt like I'll help the biggest amount of people, if I write a review on him now.
Some of his stats reviewed:
Pace: I feel like this is one of his best stats. He is very quick, which will allow you to dribble past some other midfielders with, most of the times, less pace.
Shooting: He hasn't scored a goal caused by his shooting yet, but I feel confident whith him in front of goal, which is great.

Passing: What you'd expect. Great passing, but most of the times when losing possesion, it's because bad user input, so it doesn't make De Jong really exceptional.
Dribbling: He feels very rapid at the ball, which is also caused by his pace. His first touches are amazing. He's a maestro with the ball at his feet, but without it he's quite invisible to be honest.
Defending: Great, maybe he could even play at cb with sentinel or something. Maybe I'll try that later. However, I feel like he doesn't really make key interceptions like players like Kanté sometimes make.
Physical: Jumping is fine. Stamina isn't 99, but he doesn't really need is because of his low attacking work rates. Strength is great but doesn't really feel like 85. His aggression is a bit low, which will sometimes not let him tackle the ball automatically.
Workrates: Great for a cdm or even a cb or wingerback, not so good when using him as a cam.
Weak foot: You can pass with him with both feet. Of course shooting with his left won't be very good.
Skillmoves: 4 stars is all you need for a midfielder imo.
After the games I've played with him, I came to a few conclusions. His card is great, don't get me wrong, but he isn't as special as I've expected and hoped for. If you compare him to a player like Kovacic totssf (which I've used during my last futchamps) or fernandinho, there aren't many differences. Frenkie does the job very well, he doesn't make a lot of mistakes and his first touches are one of the best I've ever felt, but he doesn't stand out on the pitch. Maybe it's because I don't use him the right way, or because I haven't played enough games with him. I don't know, but if you'd ask me if he's worth the 900k, I'd say definately not.
