Okay guys so I've finally decided that Ive used a player worth me breaking my silence and writing a review about. todays review is going to be dedicated to The Midfield Maestro that is Marco Reus!
A little background on my relationship with Marco. So I've been playing FUT since FIFA 12 and been a big fan of Marco in game since Fifa 13 (2012) and a huge fan of him continuously in game and IRL since FIFA 14 (2013). He's been consistently good over the years in every FUT and always been an influence for me to have a Bundesliga hybrid squad by always providing new special cards to try out such as TOTW, TOTS and FUTTIES. Well I am happy to say that this year during TOTSSF EA have blessed my guy with is most special card to date.
This card is an absolute unit so in 29 games for me (20 WL) (9 Rivals DEV 5) all at CAM in a 4231 formation he has scored 40 goals and made 14 assists equaling 55 goal contributions in less than 30 games... I feel like those stats speak for them selves but I'll expand a lil more..
So I play my Reus with a hawk to boost his pace shooting and physicality. With this chemos style his explosiveness is too much for even the likes of TOTSSF Varane and Virgil to handle, I came up against them a lot in WL. his finishing is flawless.. because he has the finesse trait, outside of the boot trait and 4* WF he is an absolute bagsman because he can score with both feet from the left, right or down the middle honestly 9 out of 10 shots I took with this guy went in. by boosting his physicality he also has a nice upgrade to strength and aggression. strength going up to 87 combined with 89 balance makes him very difficult to beat in a side by side contest even though the CB's battling him are often much bigger and stronger..
Right I feel like that's enough waffle lets get into the Pros and cons.
PACE I feel like him having 99 99 with a hawk chemstyle translates he genuinely feels that fast and will get to any ball you play to him or beat you opponent to a lose ball.
SHOOTING He's an ABSOLUTE BAGSMANthe guy doesn't miss from near, far or at an awkward angle. Having that attacking presence / threat from midfield definitely helps A LOT!
PASSING Some amazing amazing amazing needle threaded through balls, crosses and first touch passes have been completed with this guy and he defiantly helps me control the pace of the game and move the ball around.
DRIBBLING The guy is agile and nippy his lowest dribbling in game stat is 89 balance and ill just let the numbers speak for themselves..
STAMINA 93 Stamina is something that you will most defiantly feel on this card I you have used this bace card that couldn't survive past the 70th minute now he can easily last 90 minutes
PRICE Now this is weird one because this card is not cheap however, this card is definitely cheap for what it can do it definitely is, I would call this card the poor mans Prime / Prime Icon Moments Cruyff without any hesitation he is honestly that much of an attacking threat and also all round midfielder when you need him to be and the fact that you can get that for under 1 million coins to me is a joke.
I genuinely don't have any con's for this card but to be balanced and fair I have to say at least one
PRICE I am putting price in both his pro's and cons because 1mill for 1 player is still a lot of money and he may be unobtainable for a lot of players however he definitely is good enough to be used around weaker players for example in my squad this weekend league I played TOTSSF Moments Mariano and let Reus carry the attack from midfield so I would say if you can get him and still have a good enough squad then defiantly do it!
I got him out of my red picks, and what can I say about this man. He's an absolute beast with the ball, and absolutely lethal as a CAM. I'm a div 5 gold 2/1 player, finishing the weekend league 19/6 - 21/6 in gold 2 with 3 games remaining (I really can't be assed finishing past gold 2, had a really shit start to the WL). He's got 99 pace with an engine, and he feels absolutely rapid in-game. He doesn't miss anything in front of goal with his outside foot shot trait, and his finesse shot trait. He's got default tactics on him in a 4-2-3-1 formation at CAM, and he makes perfect runs each time. His passing is also immense. He can make lob through balls like it's nothing, not like Messi, but still incredible. Despite being close to 6"0', he doesn't feel clunky at all. His dribbling is very very responsive, and he gets round players with ease. 4* 4* isn't an issue either, his left foot feels like it's 5* anyway. Overall, an absolutely brilliant card. His strength is decent too. The only issue with him I'd say is 93 stamina at central CAM, yet that's not that bad of an issue anyway.
I got Reus in a sweet red item from Fut Champions rewards (first time i got something usable from reds picks). He is incredible, he is so agile, great passer and shooter. He is great player that plays behind the main striker. He also does a great job as a second striker.
If your a Bundesliga user, Reus is a must have.

Hear me out. He doesnt work for me in midfield. He disappears... No other word for it.. Lad barely makes a pass the entire game.. He just......... exists on the pitch.
Slap on an engine and put him in front of goal and he takes to it like a duck to water. 22 goals and 17 assists in 20 games put this lad as the biggest rise in assists in my vlub. The 4*4* helps, and certainly, his BEAST shooting is amplified. My recommendation? Use him as an ST, preferably with TOTS Haaland as parter since they both are on fire together (i've written a review on him as well, go check it out). Haaland's lethal finishing is brilliantly complemented by Reus' cheeky passes and close finishes. You need to score a banger? Take Haalnd. You need to dribble past 4 opponents, skill them back to hell, and chip the keeper? Reus is your man
I was so excited about him when I got him from 83+ bundesliga pack. I´m a Dortumund fan and I like him in real life. But when I tried him, he was so bad. His gold card in draft was so good, but this card. I don´t know what to say about it. I am disappointed. I know a lot of you will disagree, but I say only what I think.
Pace - He is too slow. I don´t know why but he feels like 80 pace not like 99 (I have engine on him).
Shooting - There were some nice shots, but he missed 100% shots which could score even a bronze player.
Passing - Not the worst one, but not the best.
Dribling - His dribling wasn´t that bad.
Defending - Everything I was expecting from him.
Physicality - Nice stamina, enough strengh, bad agression.
To be honest. His card for me isn´t worth the coins. I play him only because he is my favourite player. But even the Muller tots is better than him. If you don´t believe me, look at his price drop. He was 1,2kk and he dropped to 900k. So I think I´m not only who was disappointed in him. If someone knows how to play him, please tell me. He is my favourite player and I want him to be good.
I have got hime in TOTSSF Guarantee on Bundesliga and I was so filed with joy, till I got to try him :(
He is really awful :(
In reality he is one of my all time favourite player, with a golden character. But This card is really bad. I have played him 75 games. And I couldn't get nothing out of him.. He missed chances that I could have finish with a bronze player and his work rate is just awful. I have tried different Chemistry stiles on him and he was just not there. Hard to find with passes, the speed felt like 70 not 94 and his passes where just bad. I have played him as a CAM in the center and left or right, I have tried him even as a CM or ST.. the same result
He is inconsistent and lacks everything.
In my opinion you better buy Kross and you have money for something else.
