Anyone wondering whether to get him or not, played 4 rivals games
Rating in game - 7.9, 8.4, 7.8, 7.8
Goals conceded - 6
Tackles - 8/11
Balls won - 19
Balls lost - 4
6 Blocked shots
5 Interceptions
Fantastic in the air, played in back four with Sule, Alaba and Kimmich with Witsel sat in front.
Easily pushes attackers off the ball and great when chasing down the attacker
Played on normal depth and defensive line, only reasons players got in behind was when chasing the game.
Didn't feel clunky or hard to manoeuvre.
Only complaint is that you can't have him play in retro Milan kit.
Heading - Wins crosses and Goal kicks
Strength - easily pushes off players on the ball
Positioning - always in the right spot to pick off the ball or to block shots
Easily links in all teams
You realise your defender is Nesta and you can easily stop attacks
Only complaint is that you can't have him play in retro Milan kit.
I know for a fact that everyone reading this will look at Nesta and decide to skip him simply because of his 36 agility and before I tried him, I was thinking the same. After some thinking I decided to grab him with my icon swaps to give him a go and as of right now, he'll be a guaranteed CB in all of my future teams and that's a fact. I played a 4-2-2-2 with him alongside Joe Gomez at CB and Gomez is a monster just as Nesta is. Nesta's agility is not a problem at all, I have dribbled past mulitple players with him and ended up putting mulitple through passes to either Eriksen or Dybala on the wings.
Agility isn't a problem for him and that's a fact.
I've taken one shot with him on the rebound of a corner and he finessed it into the bottom corner so for shots with Nesta I'm 1/1
Anchor on him is amazing js.
Strong
Fast
Amazing Heading
Not slow in terms of agility
Not Clunky
Reactions
Never tired despite stamina
Long passes are not amazing
Cannot think of anything bad with him after 30 games.
Since I've been playing with FIFA, I didn't have CB icons.
And now, I know it was a big mistake.
When Icon Swaps came into the game, I knew that I will have a good icon.
I started doing the challenges, it was so easy and I could do them very easily.
I used in 4-3-3 attack formation with stay back (of course), with drop back tactic. 70 pace looks slow, but with shadow he's quite fast if your defending tactic is drop back.
His defending is absolutely incredible, he can get the ball back from every angle. As for his PHY, he's strong and the opponents can't steal the ball. Overall, I have a very good CB. (I only change him at TOTS (maybe)) I do recommend him, do him if you can ASAP!
Very good header
Very good jumping
Quite good pace
Perfect defending
Sometimes can't even pass the ball
We used Nesta in the 4231 and 41212(2) formations for 50 games (30 WL + 20 Rivals) The result was as expected he was the best defender at the back, we used him along side Marcelo, Eder Militao and Serge Aurier IF at the back and Areolla at goal. We used him with Engine chem style for 10 games banking on his insane defending and physical stats but to no avail so we went with the Anchor chem style for the remaining 40. Off the bat we went with him from SWAT deals because he allows us to go with whoever we can afford at the back, so we went with the "meta" players and he was the best in defense with only 2 red cards compared to Militao who had 5, Aurier had 2 and none for Marcelo. In slow gameplay the only way to stop an attack for me atleast is a crippling tackle.. i wish there was another way but it is how it is. He was better than Militao and surprisingly better than VVD (i had his 14 games loan card) we managed to hit 21 wins in WL and the main reason we went with Nesta was that better WL rewards. Would i spend coins to buy this version of Nesta 100% NO. Overall a decent defender that will be usable till 500 more games of now, meaning that we`ll be looking to upgrade him somewhere around WL 7. But that was the whole point of the experiment and it did pay off as expected. Overall hes better than any up to 150K CB and i`m pretty sure that should not surprise any one.
PPassing and defending awareness is where he shines the most, interceptions with the correct chem style as well. high air ball passes were 90% accurate and that`s a big win in my eyes!
No big shockers here: Balance and Agility, when he gets the ball (if no red card) you do NOT want to dribble with him, just aim a pass to a wide player. He cant really carry the ball out. Reactions also but it might be my connection to the servers its 50/50
So I decided to chose Nesta for my Swaps. I needed a solid CB to link up Romagnoli and Silva, and he was the cheapest option at the time.
Nesta is one of the most unreliable payers I've ever used. Sometimes he plays like a god, an absolute wall. But he has quite a lot of games where he just walks away from the attackers, leaving a gap in the defence. His passing is also very unreliable, something you can expect from a card with 63 passing. So if you like a slow build-up, dont go for this guy.
After all, solid defender for his value, but nowhere near an end-game defender at all.
- Pace (With Shadow)
- Defending overall
- Strenght
- Stamina
- Unreliable
- Passing
Honestly not too much to say about this card other than he is ABSOLUTELY worth the 9 swap tokens.
During the current patch (18/10/19) every defender can basically move freely with no penalty for changing direction, or mistiming tackles, therefore the low agility and balance have no effect on the cards performance.
Unless attackers on break aways have 99 pace and get a 10m head start in the current patch defenders can catch up to them, therefore sprint speed is more or less irrelevant.
Because of these facts, I recommend Nesta + Keane if you have time to all the swaps, if not just get Nesta, will stay in most people teams until atleast FUTmas unless EA SPORTS patch defender movement, in which case this card will be useless.
Finishing must be 99 because I scored a finesse shot with him.
Overall card is 10/10 would recommend to my nan. DO IT
