If you're looking for a True Striker, a Pure # 9, a real scoring machine, this is your icon !
This legend is the total package. Very complete, : extremeley powerful, fast (with hunter), strong, has silky first touch and above all, he's a clinical finisher.
All his shots are rockets. His best shots are 1st post powershots and finesses from top of the box. He can't miss one of them.
To make it short, this Guy is a BEAST in front of goal.
I play him with hunter chem. He has 75 goals in 70 games and that's a very good ratio for me, considering that I'm an average player (Gold 2 Futchamps) who runs a 2 striker formation (41212 (2) or 4222), in Rivals and Futchamps only. He also has a fantastic ability to step up and score at crucial moments.
Nonetheless, if you're looking for an attacker that would be pure speed, or would have the agility of a "snake", it won't be your guy.
He's fast, but does'nt feel like Neymar, Dembele or Mbappé. He's not clunky, but not very agile either and he can be caught easily by defenders if he tries very tight skillmoves. He's not Messi or Ben Yedder.
Ask him to do a 1-2 pass, he will break your opponent's defense and finish. Find him in the box with a driven pass, he will make an exquisite first touch and launch a rocket to the top corner.
Though, ask him to complete back to back dragbacks in front of VVD or Ferndinand, and there's a high probability that he will lose the ball.
Clinical Finishing. Scores and scores and scores, often at important moments.
Extremely powerful: has a mix of speed and strength that makes him almost unstoppable when he's running at full gear.
Outstanding First touch, even when surrounded by 5 defenders.
Amazing finesse shots thanks to finesse shot trait, in particular those from long range (the best I have experimented so far), .
Makes splendid runs.
Strong on the ball.
Good Speed (with hunter chem), although he doesn't feel like Mbappé due to his lower agility and taller size.
OK short passing for a striker.
Dribbling : his dribbling is not bad, excellent first touch, but lacks in agility
Agility : He's not clunky, but he's not Neymar or Messi, he's a powerful finisher. He can perform ball rolls with ease, but he's not a 4* or 5* skiller. So, he's better at eliminating defenders with 1-2 passes than with skill moves.
Weak foot can be inconsistent, if he is shooting under pressure, especially in tight angles. Otherwise, weak foot is ok (it really feels like 4*).
I used Shevchenko in the Weekend League and ended up in Elite 3 with 1 game left. He was Amazing at Shooting and passing. used Engine on him and played 4222 with Son in a 2 striker force. His pace was not a problem, he seemed actually really fast. He ended up getting himself 26 golas and 20 assists. His finishing with both feet is clinical. However shooting with his left from about 15m was very bad. Although he's only got 73 passing he ended up beeing one of the best chance creators ever for me. What I really loved about this card was his fighting for the ball, when a defender outmuscled him, he fought back and 1/3 times he won the ball back ( also against players like Van Dijk). Biggest issue is his stamina. You want a player like him to run everywhere in the attack, make runs behind the defence and fight back, but when you do that, he's already tired in the 60. minute. With Engine his dribbling was mediocore. He's a finisher, not a dribbler. For that price he is better than most of the strikers out there. If you like the player because of nostalgic reasons get him, he won't disappoint you, but if you want amazing results for your money there is a better way to spend 500k for me just because of his very bad stamina.
I got him as my first Icon ever and used him in a epl squad. played him with hunter. He feels like he is two-footed - scored great goals with his left foot. Also he is a good finisher - excellent first touch finish. But when the scripting takes over he missed all his chances, including a post shot vs an open goal. Also he is slow - his pace felt like henderson, nowhere near 84. Also his passing was average and his dribbling is good, but he feels heavy, not lightfooted. Also he gets tired fast. Played him first as CAM (replaced oxford chamberlin) - that was a dissaster, striker is the position for him. Great shooting, otherwise oxford chamberlin was more usefull.
If you are looking for someone who will put the chances away and make the most out of every chance to shot he is amazing. But against good players you need to work in ordner to get chances and there he did worse than chamberlin. Against noobs he was leathal, but in the build up not great. His pace being an issue against good players. For 500K i expect someone better - Overall 5/10
