First I would like to point out that every goalie in Fifa is inconsistent. There is probably only four or five goalies I can say that are good 75% of the time. That's just how Fifa is. Nevertheless, I picked up Areola because I played with him a lot in Fifa 19, I tend to get goalies that are 6 foot 4 or above solely because height is one of the most important parts of the goalie. There are some exceptions such as Ter Stegen.

I mainly used him to link up with Militao who is an absolute monster.

I tried Courtois, who literally is as bad as he is irl. Don't get me started on him.

Let me start out by saying, he is not a bad goalie. He is very good at saving shots, especially inside the 16. Obviously this might not be the case for others but he tends to be very clutch in most situations.

But sometimes I really just want to quick sell this card. He would go on and make the save of his career, and then let in a goal that my five-year-old brother, who plays on goals that are literally three feet high, could save.

But most of the time he was good.

Also, like most keepers, never pass back to them.

Every time I played the ball back to Areola to relieve pressure, and hit it first time, he kicked the ball literally five yards and straight to the opposing team.

Overall,

It all depends on what you seek in a goalie.

IMO, he is quality most of the time and not a bad buy for his price.

Bang for the bucks

Extremely good for his price, just as in FIFA 19. Will make incredible saves. I have Ter Stegen as an investment but use Areola instead for his superiority.

Definition of OP

For 3k and great links to some of the best defenders, you cant really go wrong. but its much more than that. played 3 WL with him and pretty much flawless, tried courtious but he made a handling error within 3 games.prehaps areola is that bad he doesnt try compliacted stuff just pushes it away from goal.Has THOSE GAMES where he saves everything, i know its ea aids but he has more of these games than oth...
