Player Review
88 - Normal
This card is amazing. I missed out on his Scream card as I didn't have any coins lefty and massively regret it now. So, however, when I packed this version of him I was obviously disappointed after seeing his pace. However, my team was crying out for a LaLiga CB to partner my Diego Carlos. I slapped a Sentinel on him to boost his defending and physical, hoping that would make up for his pace. Thankfully, it did. This card is basically a wall. Immovable, tall, and stops almost everything that is thrown at it. This Pique intercepts almost everything with his long legs, heads away most lobbed passes with his 6'4 frame (He's the tallest CB in LaLiga), and makes sprints when needed to. With Sentinel, he can use his strength to throw pacey attackers off the ball, and if that fails, he steals the ball with one of his long legs. If you like to pass the ball out of defence, he is also your man, as his passing stats are good for a CB. He is also great at corners, whether defending them or attacking (again, tallest CB in LaLiga), but his high attacking workrate makes him stay forward for longer than he should, and has no way to run down the whole pitch in time to stop a counter attack. However, he's a quality player inside his own half.
