Player Review
96 - TOTS
I was lucky enough to get this guy in my reds, and while I was very happy to get one of the big Premier League Team of the Seasons, I was nervous as I'd heard a lot of bad stuff about him e.g bad balance, his weak foot doesn't feel good etc. However, I can tell you from someone who secured their first ever Gold 1 finish this weekend, mainly because of this man, that he is simply incredible. I used an engine chemistry style on him to get the dribbling up, and he felt so smooth on the ball. His finishing was perfect, he tucked away every chance inside the box, near post and across the keeper. His passing was good enough (I didn't notice his passing in game which means it must've been good as he didn't do anything wrong). His pace, of course, was incredible, and once he was past a centre back they were never going to catch up. In his 29 weekend league games, (I quit my last game as I couldn't get to elite 3 so I gave my opponent the win), Auba scored 34 goals and got 12 assists.
Finishing
I partnered Pierre up top with OTW Ben Yedder, with TOTS Aguero in at CAm behind them who I was lucky enough to pull from a premium premier league upgrade. With Aguero as more of the assisted, Aubameyang had to provide a lot of goals, and he did this at more than one goal a game going up against some tough opponents. His traits are amazing for his shooting, with Outside Foot trait helping a lot with those meta near post finishes. He doesn't miss.
Dribbling
Because of his balance, his dribbling obviously isn't top tier level like Messi and Aguero. However, he can certainly beat a man, and often glided past big centre back before tucking it away. Unlike some reviews I had read about him, he felt great on the ball, partly due to the engine chem style I put on him but also the 95 dribbling helps a bit (:.
Pace
Of course. Pace. Its Aubameyang and he was rapid, what else would you expect from him. Known as one of the fastest players in the game, he did not disappoint. However, he didn't burst past defenders like I'd of thought, which players like Adama Traore and Ryan Kent do. Once he was past a defender though, there was no catching up.
Weak Foot
The 4 star weak foot is a lie. The amount of chances that he missed on his left foot, that any other four star weak foot player would've tucked away was very odd. However, with the outside foot trait, he took a lot of the chances on his right anyway and those always go in.
Aggression
Despite the incredible strength this card has, his aggression definitely lest him down. He wouldn't hurt a fly, and gets bodied fairly often due to him never going in for the barge. However, he does always hold off the players with under 85 strength, like flashback Azpilicueta and Maldini.
