Player Review
94 - TOTS
After writing my MeMphis Depay review I wanted to show the guy behind his succes. The man, the myth, the guy with a name so short but still so difficult to write: Houssem AOUAR!!
He was the engine (but yes I used hawk on him) behind my man Depay. Houssem played CAM in a 4231 or a forward going CM in 41212(2).
I started him as a CDM, but his workrates didn't really work out for me. He was playing next to De Jong, both Box-to-Box players. He was so good at defending , especially tracing his prey to eat it alive. After a while I found that he was lacking that strong manly body, he wasn't big enough too. I then changed him with André (I'm going to complete Gueye when I have time tho) and moved Aouar one row higher. CAM.
This is where he came to his full potential. Houssem was so agile, got that supreme starting power. He legit felt like a beyblade that just landed in the ring after you pulled the string. He was mental. He scored finesses like he was Beckham. There was one game where he outshined everybody: I was behind 0-1, then Aouar thought of 'na-ah' and he became the captain of my ship. Launching players into the deep with his passes to then come in running and shooting those balls in the nets. He scored a hattrick. Game ended after 35" with a 3-1 victory. Can't blame my oppent, I would have left too.
To come back at his defending stats: he played CAM, but stole a lot of balls because he was just so quick. He would run to their goal, pass it to payet, who then loses the ball.(he's a fine player, but not game changing-neymar good) They counter. And when they are about to give that one last pass to get the goal. Guess who's there saying "hello, sir. Can I please have my ball back?"?
Yes, correct. It's Aouar. The guy just keeps on running.
Last words: Houssem is like Kante and Kent made a child. He's so agile, quick, harsh, but he still be smiling after his goals.
Pace: he feels so quick when he has the ball. His acceleration feels like 105/99.
Shooting: Finesse shots from outside the box are game changing with Houssem.
Passing: Phenomenal. He played CM/CAM so passing is essential and he proved he has maxed out passing stats.
Interceptions: he feels like VVD, just stealing the ball when you're not even controlling him
Physicality: He does not feel strong when having the ball, but in defense he bullies them too.
Positioning: just kidding, he's everywhere to steal the ball or kick/pass the ball the right way
