I use him with a sniper - so my review is based on his performance with a sniper.
I've used him for a total of 102 games so far (in rivals and the WL) and he's scored 83 times and assisted 31 times while either playing as at RW/RF or at CAM.
Pace: (8/10) While his pace isn't really the greatest, he makes up for it with his great dribbling stats! Also - you can slap an engine/hunter on him to make him faster.
Dribbling: (9/10) Probably the best stat on the card! Sniper brings his dribbing stat to a 94 (with 99 agility, 91 ball control, and 97 dribbling) and he feels VERY VERY smooth on the ball. The 5 star skills are an added bonus.
Shooting: (10/10) With a Sniper, all his shooting stats are higher than the mid 80s, and his 89 composure (with sniper) seems to help significantly. While he does finish more consistently with his left foot, his right hasn't been too bad for me.
Passing: (8/10) Not much to complain here, his stats speak for itself. While he's no Pirlo, his passing abilities definitely get the job done owing to all his passing stats being in the 80s.
Defending: (3/10) 60 strength, and 48 overall defending render him useless in any defensive positions or in positions where you need an RM with decent defending stats. But again - if you're really using Di Maria to primarily defend, you're doing something wrong!
Physicality: (7/10) His physically is pretty much enough for an RW/CAM. His stamina does tend to run out after the 80+ minute mark so you might want to utilize a sub.
- Amazing Dribbling
- Consistent Shooting
- Great Passing
- Good started RW for a Ligue 1/Argentina/Hybrid Squad
- Weak Foot
