88 - FUT Birthday SBC
5.0
STEVEN UNIVERSE
By TOTTI5, 04-04-2020

I just wanted to do him for fun, didnt think to get him in my main squad since i just pakced Lozano FUT Birthday. But after playing with the squad a bit, i find him a place and tried him out, and i LOVED HIM. I use him as a RAM in a 4-2-3-1 and i have him on stay forward. Also all the games have been in this WL after 14 games, i quit 3 of those but also won 10 of them so far, and Steven Bergwijn is the reason for a lot of the wins. I think his best position is on the wing since his pace is so good and his wing play is fantastic. As a ST he doesnt have the workrates and as a CAM for me he is missing the long passing stat.

Good enough pace for this stage of FIFA, dribbling is really good, even though a lot of people put sniper on it i preffer deadeye to make his passing better. I really did not had a problem with the dribbling stats, his missing a bit in a few areas but you know what you will love? 96 BALANCE, this guy is like prime Moussa Dembele, you cant get the ball off him,and with that 87 strength, he is more of a tank than you think. With the deadeye chem style all the important stats go to 99, and that 96 base shot power does feel like a cannon, also his workrates will keep him all the time in that wing position, and his crazy positioning will get him into spaces that before i didnt even think before. And the 5* weak foot, OMG EA with this weak foot upgrade, i dont care on what foot is on, i am shooting that, there is really no difference there. Amazing price also, and the fact that he wont expire, gives you enough time to make a decision.

I would say the only cons are his long passing and his aggression. He is not the type of player that will fight for the ball, he wont be pushed over with ease, but he wont get the ball that easly, for some this stat is just a plus i dont think it is really important. The long passing would be important if you play him CAM, that is why i reccomand you not to.

Stevie makes it easy!!
By lvos2001, 03-04-2020

Being a PSV fan, I had to try him out, and boy was I not disappointed! I was able to get him for just 120k using some players to the likes of Di Maria moments and 87 Politano, and some untradeables, of course. Im planning on doing Boateng as well and could have easily used these players for his sbc, however, I was have been looking for a good 5* WF player for some time so I took my chance. Also, first I had Sarr, who has been incredible for me as well, but was very predictable so therefore decided to give Stevie a shot. Now, I have only used him for 10 games in WL of which all I have won, but here is my review on him using a sniper chem style and playing him in a 4-2-3-1 formation as right CAM:

Pace (95) 9/10- His pace is just right to outrun most defenders and perfect knowing he has a 5* WF. Because it is difficult for your opponent to predict which way you will go once you need to pass the last defender, once you pick a side to run to he will accelerate and it will be too late for your opponent to react before he gets the chance to shoot. Same when using drag backs, he is fast enough to profit from a defending mistake.

Dribbling (98) 10/10- This is my favorite stat on this card. Together with his physique, he is able to hold off any defender and easily dribble past each one. He keeps the ball close and using a sniper his agility will be 95, therefore it is also easy to turn direction. His composure is bumped up to 88, which some may consider a bit low, however, I have not really noticed it.

Shooting (93) 9/10- Because of his high shot power, using the near post technique is really OP. Especially because of his 5* WF, most shots will go in, does not matter what side you come from. Finesse shots have also been just fine, 87 curve has been doing the job.

Passing (86) 9/10- Better than I expected, I like to play in small spaces so I only make short passes. Therefore, I have not really noticed whether his long passing is good or not.

Defending (45) 5/10- Somehow he has scored 2 headers...

Physical (80) 9/10- This is what sets him apart from the other players imo. His 87 strength makes him stronger than most backs and even some centre backs, therefore he is able to push his way through the defence by always winning 50/50 balls. His stamina (88) has been just fine for me, I keep him on stay forward and free roam so he can easily play 120 minutes.

At the start, I'll admit I didn't like him and found him very clunky and bad at ball control, but I got used to playing him and he is an absolute beast. I played him at Striker, Central CAM and Right CAM in a 4-2-3-1, with a sniper, but found Striker to be the best position for him, with stay central. He does feel a bit clunky on the ball yes, but that's mainly due to his ingame body type. His pace is excellent, finishing with both feet is stunning, and he has great vision and passing.

Compared to some other wingers I used in the prem, he's like the perfect middle ground. 5*WF, which no other Prem Right winger has other than St.Maxims Fut B-Day. Great strength to hold possession. The best i can compare him is to a Headliners Adama Traore, with a bit less pace and physical, but much better on-the-ball stats.

His playstyle is quite unique and the closest player I've used with a similar sort of feeling is 87 TOTGS Lautaro Martinez or 87 Son. I would highly recommend him if he fits in your team, and you have the coins to do him.

Pace:

Once he gets going, he's like a train, leaving defenders in the dirt, with 93 Acceleration and 95 Sprint speed.

Shooting:

What can I say? With a sniper, 99 finishing and 95 shot power, already solid enough. Take into account his 5* Weak Foot, he's unpredictable and dangerous.

Passing:

His 70 long passing is compensated for by the rest of his passing stats. Great vision and short passing means he rarely misplaces a pass. Almost never gave possession away for me.

Physical:

Great stamina (88) and lasts for the whole 90 mins. 87 Strength also helps him retain possession very well.

Feels clunky ingame:

Probably because of his body type (Stocky)

Aggression:

Doesn't fight for possession a lot if contesting for it

Bergwijn
By Apatel, 06-06-2020

Bergwijn is a solid card. He has 4* 5* which makes him really useable. One thing I would say is that because of his med/med work rates, he does not get into the box as much as Fati for example when used as a wide player. This can be made better by using him with cut inside instructions or as a cam in a 4231 formation. He has the weak foot, his shot is outstanding 95% of the time and he gets involved more, making more runs in behind etc.

  • Defending (not a Kante or anything but sometimes makes a good interception or standing tackle.)
  • Doesn't get involved with scoring as much as I wished.
  • Passing (not terrible but not the best.)

Bergwijn My Boredom Savior
By ReviewHeroForAll, 02-04-2020

Bergwijn has completely revolutionized my attack. His pace agility and in particularly snappy finishing with the Sniper chem style is unreal shots dependably go in ,

Pace- Bergwijn is obvioiusly very fast but feels more like 90 this could be because of body type but he still burns defenders with under 85 pace and I found him escaping Varane and RTTF Konate early on

Shooting- Bergwijn's shot is scarily good sometime his power shots and chips in particular were great but i notived his finnesse shots left a tad to be desired probably because of his long shots outside of the box.

Passing- His passing is well decent he does not displace passes but his longballs aren't perfect which is excweptable for a RAM or ST which I played him in.

Dribbling- With the sniper chem style applied Bergwijn's dribbling does not dissapoint his left stick dribbling is untouchable and he executes his skill moves extremely well and noticeably quickly.

Physical- Bergwijn's would suggest that he would be very strong and while he is stronger than most wingers of his stature but his aggression makes his strength similar to 70 or so his stamina lasts the full 90 easily and is a good feature of the card.
