94 - TOTS
5.0
The God Of Ultimate Team
By DeuceSpark, 02-06-2020

So, to start off, Hulk has been my striker pretty much since the start of FIFA. Scream Hulk was in my squad for months and was benched for a period of time because I thought Ronaldo would be better (He wasn't after a while). I then used my Scream Hulk to get Flashback Hulk. Absolute monster of a card, but at the time I was using mostly Ronaldo so he was on the bench mostly and made a huge impact as a sub. My Scream Hulk had just under 500 goals, about 300 assists in 600 games. My Flashback had 205 goals, 80 assists in 220 games.

When TOTS Hulk came out, I instantly wanted to change my team just to fit him in. I knew how good his previous cards were so I had no issue spending the 400k to get him on PC.

I played him as the striker in the 4231 with Alex Teixeira as the CAM in behind. I used the team for a bit in Rivals Division 2 and 1 to get use to the squad. It was instantly a partnership with Hulk and Alex. They compliment each other so well.

So what do I like about him. He's so much more agile once you know how he moves in game. Left stick dribbling with him is fantastic. I think people see his position and think he can play down the wing. He can't really. He's better being 1v1 or 1v2 with the CBs. I find that once you use a player for a period of time, he becomes more lethal for you than just the typical meta cards. Its more enjoyable.

Shooting. There's no question. It's absolutely fantastic and broken. Honestly. His shot is so unbelievably powerful and accurate. Most of his goals for me are just power shots. Just so good.

Weak foot. It's not amazing. It's decent. In the box he's decent to very good with it. Outside the box it's non existent. The Flashback with the 4* weak foot was excellent from outside the box with his weak foot, but everything he's not even close to this version of Hulk.

Dribbling. So this is in conjunction with the agility (obviously). I felt like sharing my thoughts on his agility and balance as they're the first thing people look at. They don't matter for him. As I said, once you get use to how Hulk plays, he's lethal. Pushing him onto his left foot is so easy. So unbelievably easy. Left stick dribbling to just push off the right side of a defender and then just shoot. Simple as that.

Passing. It's good. I don't use him for the big passes. He does what's needed when it comes to linking up. I'm mostly looking to get the ball to him rather than him passing it off, but when he does pass, it's good.

Physical. No issues. Does what it says on the tin. Just pass the ball to him, hold Left Trigger (or L2), push off the defenders right and you have a goal. Your opponent decides that he'll take the ball from Hulk, he turns on beast mode and just overpowers them. It's amazing.

I highly recommend Hulk. He's so fun to use. He's got limitations as he's not the Neymars, or Mbappes of FIFA, he's Hulk. He's there as a classic FIFA striker. One that is always there for a goal.

My record on my recent Weekend League was 23-6. It's the first time I've gotten Elite and it's all down to Hulk. Every game I played in the Weekend League I scored first and it was always Hulk.

He's honestly the best player in my squad. Never subbed him once in my Weekend League. I changed my team every game around how to get the ball to him and it worked.

Not so Incredible Hulk
By Orw20, 29-05-2020

I love hulk as much as probably everyone else that plays fifa. His left foot is something out of this world and the combination of pace and strength makes this player a bulldozer when it comes to breaking down defences. However when I say he is a bulldozer I mean it. His balance makes him able to run in a straight line with tiny variances. He turns quick but loses control of the ball which makes it simple for defenders to swoop in and start the counter attack, which in this fifa is very good and can cost you the game.

I used hulk as a striker and rw/ram in a 4-4-2 and 4-3-3(4) and 4-2-3-1. He had a combination of starting and coming on as a sub. My first impressions of him were not good. I subbed him on as a get in behind striker in the 4-4-2 beside tots Mahrez and he was very underwhelming but as time went on I learned his movement and how he feels and got better, He can play striker but the 3 star weakfoot was a huge detriment and lost me a game, he decided to take a shot from the middle of the box to the right side with his right foot and completely missed. As a winger he is good. He feels like an Adama with less pace but amazing shooting and passing. His finesse shots are exceptional and if you play to his strengths he is a great winger/ram. The only difficulty is playing to his strengths. He plays differently to your high agility balance winger and like I mentioned earlier feels like a slower but better Adama.

In conclusion I think if he drops to 200k and you can and want to use him in your team and try and go for a csl or Brazil team. Go for it he is good. If you want to buy hulk for any more than 200-250k and he isn’t one of your favourite players/you really want to try him. I’d swerve this card as he is good and fun but overall his weakfoot and balance really take away from all the good things this card has to offer. If you have him untradeable like me, try him out, sub him on and keep him for later like futties and festival of fut, when a lot of the tots are really cheap and you can make a very good csl/Brazil team.

Nice but balance
By thrithion, 28-05-2020

In real life Hulk is one of my favorite players, so I really needed to test this card out and well... He certainly has his pro's but his cons make this card pretty unusable in competitive Fifa. His pace with an engine is pretty nice, his left foot shooting is really powerful and accurate. his passing is also really good. His strength is unbelievable, he wins like every duel. But his right foot shooting just sucks and even with an engine he just turns like a Boeing. At the moment he costs around 400K which in my opinion for an off league non Meta card with 68 balance en 3 star weak foot, is just to expensive.

he broke my heart...
By Wolven, 07-09-2020

soooo.. 94 rated! YAY! insane stats! YAY! 2 goals and 2 assists in 34 games! YAY... wait a minute! I know what you all thought, "LOLLL this dude's a noob LOLL" but im not. I regularly play WL, every weekend mostly and get Gold 3 or Silver 1 with usually 4-5 games to spare. I used hulk as a ST in 41212 in game with Lewa and Coman as partners, but he just... didnt cut it. H elooks good stat wise, but everything about this card is a dissapointment. Throughout WL, the man barely made one decent pass, and i think that came through only cause Coman has 99 pace and his VVD only 78. 2 exact same situations, but with different players. 2 opposition defenders on the edge of the box, and i had to score. Hulk sent the shot desperately wide after struggling with moving past the defenders, while douglas costa danced past them and 'megged the keeper. Costa is a beast with Deadeye applied to him, and the only reason i compare the 2 is because i got them around the same time. Not to mention linking the man is hard, i had to use an 87 coutinho which RUINED my team rating and performance. At every 30 minute mark i used to find myself subbing hulk off with aubameyang, who did a great job.

My advice, DON'T GO FOR HIM IF YOU CAN HELP IT

VERY Underwhelming
By sylasony, 29-05-2020

I was pretty happy to pack him out of my guaranteed TOTSSF pack and was eager to try him out. Saying that I was rather disappointed about how this card performed in actual games would be a big understatement. His low agility/balance/3* WF combination made me miss so many scoring/offensive opportunities. And there were several occasions where his clunkiness and extra-touches in combination with bad game-play/slow server made me substitute him out of games in rage. I wouldn't even buy him for 100k at this stage of the game. There are so many other LW/LM options at this point that I wouldn't recommend him to anyone even if you are forcing yourself to run an all CSL or Brazilian squad.

  • Strength: he is noticeably strong and is consistently able to push off defenders while running straight. Having said that, his clunkiness, however, makes him very prone to lose the ball to any decent defender's standing tackle while dribbling, cutting, or trying to take a shot.
  • Shooting: when he is able to take shots at times with his left foot, his shots were actually very good. His finesse shots and short power shots, in particular, were actually pretty impressive.
  • Passing: his passing was reliable. I never tried to make crazy passes with him, but the passes I've made with him were pretty good.
  • Dribbling/responsiveness: don't try to dribble with him when there is a defender nearby. Unless you are cutting in with your opponent's LB overshooting at the same time, it was hard to dribble him past any decent defender. He is far from being responsive and trying to do anything aside from passing the ball right away or taking one touch shots will get you to lose the ball. Especially when the game play is pretty bad and slow, he turns into a truck.
  • WF: as stated above, his shots with his strong foot were accurate and powerful. But all his shots with his right foot were all over the places.
  • Balance: even with his ridiculous strength, I've noticed him falling on many occasions when he was body-checked by strong defenders
  • Touch: when receiving the ball, it was very frustrating to see him to take extra touches that I never intended. Also during fast-breaks, this plays a big role as the extra-time he takes to take good control over the ball sometimes makes you miss decent offensive opportunities.
