Just wow. I packed this guy as my first ever icon and was going to sell him and buy a team. Thought I'd try him out first and I honestly don't think he will be leaving my team for a very long time. Stats wise seems better than his mid card as he's quicker and has better stamina which has allowed me to put a marksman chem on him and further improve his dribbling/physical. I'm not an amazing player - got stuck into Div 5 after calibrating and have used him in a mix of rivals and legendary squad battles. Really seems to fit the meta this year with the close dribbling and has one hell of a turn of pace from strafe dribbling into a sprint. Surprisingly strong and his low centre of gravity allows him to hold the ball through challenges way more than I've experienced with anybody else. Gets beyond the striker from CAM at will and just about manages to get through the whole game with 80 stamina.

Difficult to compare as the next best player in my squad is Ben Yedder so I'll leave out the comparisons but if I had to guess, he's a stronger, quicker version of Messi with 5* skills and a worse right foot. Have left the value at 4* just because he is an expensive player but compared to some of the other premium icons I can see him picked in way more teams than he was last year.

Played with this little guy 1437 games... scored just crazy goals for me and ... and ... so fun to play with.

Pace, dribbling, shoot, animation, positioning... he has everything you need.

Just give him a try. I have him since November and he is the only one why I switch on my PS4. Now 1M he is so so low price for his quality. Now I have only I advice: abuse of his finesse shoot.

Best way to play him:

• As a CAM (not good as ST)
• 41212 or 4231 formation
• Hunter chem style
• Give him freedom
• Abuse of his finesse shoot outside the box

Ok, this is my first review and i thought i had to do it. I packed "el Diego" in my baby icon sbc pack and i was not very hyped until i tried him. In 37 seven matches (FUTChamps and Div Rivals) hescored 52 goals and gave 29 assist, playing as stricker and CAM. Theres nothing else i can tell you, this guy is amazing, by far best player ive used this year, even better than neymar. If you can buy him, he is a must in your team, and if you packed him, congrats, you have a real GOD.(USED HAWK ON HIM)

Ok, esta es mi primera review, crei que tenia que hacerla despues de haber jugado con este jugador, es INCREIBLE, por lejos el mejor jugador que probe este año, incluso mejor que neymar. En 37 partidos (futchampions y div rivals) hizo 52 goles y 29 asistencias jugando como delantero en una 442 y mco en una 4231. Al principio no me parecia lo mejor pero cuando le puse halcon me cambio totalmente, super rapido, el mejor regate que probe y un tiro super fuerte y su colocacion es escencial. Ademas que las 5* de skills agregan mucho. Si puede, pruebenlo, no se van a arrepentir.

(Review de Argentina, sorry for bad english)

First: this is my first review ever and I'm italian so sorry for my bad english.

Second: I bought 91 Diego 'cause he's my favourite player ever and the card looks good and fits perfectly this year meta.

His dribbling is the best I've ever used (I used Messi, Neymar, Bernardo and other top tiers players), he's very quick and very enjoyable with his 5* skills, his passing is out of this world and he's strong for his height.

Idk why, but his shooting seems to be "glitched out" by EA: he scores very very rarely despite his stats. I used him as a CAM in a 4231 formation with Barnes 89 LAM, Bernardo RAM and Cristiano ST.

I had sadly to resell him and buy my 87 Mertens, that performed better than him.

Full disclosure, I appreciate his skill on the pitch, but would not classify myself a fan of the man IRL based on all of his antics off the pitch.

That being said, after a few rough goes with the base Icon Upgrade SBC (I got Overmars who was at best a super sub, followed by baby Keane, whom I'd already selected as a prime in the Icon Swaps), I dropped the aforementioned useless baby Keane into this SBC as a sacrifice and came out with a GOD (or at least the hand of one) in Baby Maradona.

So I slapped a Marksman Chem style on him and threw him into the squad (in game I play him left CAM with CR7 at Striker, Mbappe at middle CAM and IF KDB on the right).

Maradona dances on the pitch. Is easily one of the slickest dribblers in the game He's a different kind of beast, having played with Neymar, Pirlo, Mbappe , CR7 and even Messi, I haven't played with anybody as fun to dribble and hold the ball with as him. It took me a few matches to get a feel for him, but playing him as a wide CAM on the left of a 4-2-3-1 cutting in to CR7 and MBappe in the middle has been a winning formula.

In the recent score with an Argentine player in 4 rival wins objective - he banged them out in 4 straight (including 3 matches off the bench in a weaker EPL squad for other objectives).

Whether on the wing or in the middle of the pitch a few things really stood out with him on the ball:

• Although strength is not the forte of this card, he is deceptively hard to dispossess since he bounces off defenders with the ball still glued to his boots.
• With close ball contact, he is probably one of the best cards to dribble through a crowd (having him cut in off the wing has helped to open up room for other attackers to finish when he can't.
• When used correctly (ie. not using the sprint button all the time), his stamina is more than sufficient to play a full 90 (and even extra time if needed).
• While his 3 star right boot is sub-optimal, he bangs home anything he hits with his left.
• He's one of the most fun players I've used this year and I love embarrassing opponents as he cuts through their squad like butter.

Truthfully, in the Meta for 20 so far, he's been one of the best players to use and has really shown to be an overall god in the game, and not just having the hand of one.
