hey, this is my first review on fifa 21 so please dont go hard on me.
where do i begin?
His pace - Ingame i play 4231 and he is the main striker. He isnt the fastest but a hunter or maverick card will do the trick,
with huntercard he runs like a beast, he just runs like forrest gump. The defenders cant stop him. what i am trying to say is that he is fast
Shooting - his shooting is the best thing about this card, he scores almost every shot he takes, from weird angels to. he is 5 * weak foot, which is amazing. he has made some amazing goals and also really important goals, he is the main reason i won 4 out of my 5 fifa starter games. I might say that he is the new ben yedder, because he just feels phenomenal when he shoots. and he uses both legs like a tank
Skills- i have realized that every 4 star skiller is amazing with the ball in fifa 21, so i would say that he is good at it, his height doesnt change on how he dribles on the ball, he is like any other 4 star skiller, thats it
Stamina- this year stamina is very important and his is decent, he cant play full 120 min, but he is perfect the first 90 minuts, but in 80's min he starts to get slow and tired so watch out
Physic - he is a very strong player, he plays around with noobs defenders that everyone has, his PHY isnt a problem yet
Passing- i havent really noticed anything about his passing cuz i just shoot and drible with him, and then i shoot and he scores
Here we are, another year, another Richarlison review.
I did my first and only review of Fifa 20 almost at the end of the game just to praise how good TOTS Richarlison was.
Now i'm back and i'll bring you reviews on the regular for this Fifa 21.
I personally don't think this card deserves a long review, what you see is what you get.
I picked him up for 39k with hunter just to make sure he doesn't lack pace and well, it was a good call (I also do think engine suits him very nicely).
I won all my placement games and i'm currently in Division 2. I played 42 games in order to give you the most complete review possible.
Let's now talk about every aspect of the card:
PACE: Even after applying Hunter you can tell he is not Mbappe but he does a very decent job. I don't think pace matters as much as last year: If your striker makes a run he is pretty unstoppable but if he doesn't you ain't gonna get past anybody in this game.
SHOOTING: Now we are talking. He is really consistent, he offers you that 5 star weak foot and he can finish in every sort of way (Yes, you can also score headers). Regarding the 5 star weak foot, i do think it's not as important as in Fifa 20 (i've been using Rashford and his 4 star weak foot is literally perfect, he just doesn't miss).
PASSING: Just basic, the short passing is decent and the long passing is not the best. As of right now you can tell who is a good passer in this game and who isn't.
DRIBBLING: Like i said in the pace/shooting part something is different this year, at least for me. Agility and balance feel not that important. I can't say much about his dribbling since it is extremely difficult to get past defenders (i don't know if this is caused by the high division i'm in or if dribbling is just bad).
DEFENDING: Nothing to say.
PHYSICALITY: Stamina is really good for a starter striker and his strenght is acceptable.
OVERALL: Really enjoyable and fun to use but don't get too hyped. He will be good until the end of October then you must move past him.
Personal thoughts: If you have the coins just skip him and go straight to Martial/Aubameyang and maybe even Gabriel Jesus since the 4 star weak foot is more than enough, at least at this stage of the game. An eventual +3 inform in a short team period would be extremely good.
Disclaimer: The goal ratio is high because every fifa 21 game ends with 10 goals.
His FIFA 20 TOTS card was the best striker in the game and his 21 version follows right where he left off. He fits the initial meta well in that he is strong, uncontainable in the box (especially with Sniper) but also strong in the air if you're good at crossing. He isn't a shifty dribbler, but you don't need him to be. Surround him with agile wingers, and a good CAM or strike partner and he will deliver time and time again. I have him on stay forward, stay central, get in behind instructions and he is just fast enough to cause a threat. You don't really need him to be the fastest striker in the game because if you deliver the ball to his feet, 8/10 times he will not lose it if you're a decent dribbler.
My review makes it sound like he's a fox in the box, but he's more than just that. With good hold up play, good short passing (don't expect any accurate cross field balls with him), and absolutely deadly finishing - he makes for the perfect initial striker. With prem and Brazil links, he can fit into almost any squad. I was lucky enough to pack him, but if you're looking for a good lone striker or a strike partner - can't be beat.
Shooting - DEADLY
Hold up play
Shooting - DEADLY
Short passing
Strength
Not the most agile dribbler
Doesn't have the top end speed to beat *every* defender
A really usefull card for the beginning during the first days of fifa he was so usefull scored a lot of bangers and almost every shot was a goal. The game is fully released and sometimes if you play against a van dijk or varane he is no where.. But if he has ontbain the ball in the 16 and he is able to shoot most of the times it's a goal.
This card is brilliant. I packed Richarlison from a gold upgrade and I immediately fit him into my team. I was able to link him up with Willian and my untradeable Fred. You can see how my team set up and the link-up play between Promes and Richarlison made it so easy to play the game. They both had pace because of chemistry styles but Promes could dribble past everyone and then slip in Richarlison and he would never miss. His attacking position made it easy to score goals when I dribbled through with wingers and cut it back to him. Although 20k might be a lot of money for you at the start of the game I really suggest you buy this card. His finishing is superb and if you pair him up with the right cam in a 4231 formation he is deadly, on both feet too because of his 5* weak foot. The one thing I would say is that his dribbling lets him down a bit and it took me a few games to get used to but if you use him in the right way he is one of the best strikers in the game so far.
Okay so I ?packed this card like 4 times when he was 30k and sold him every time. Then I packed him from a 2 player pack and used him for a few games because EA clearly wanted me to use him. Then after using him for 5 games, he had 13 goals and 6 assists. Mental. his dribbling feels insane but his shooting with a hunter card is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. He will shoot and score from anywhere with either foot. He somehow manages to dribble past anyone and shoot AND score. It's insane. Now he's 4k so if you don't have many coins and don't have him, I don't know what you are doing. Use him with a hunter so his shooting is as good as it could be and he gains bags of pace like you need on this game.
Okay, this is the first time I write a review so let's be honest. Most of the people writing a review here on Futbin are always lyrical and stuff. I doubt whether that's a 100% objective point of view. The same goes for this guy Richarlison. I saw people reviews saying Richarlison > Ben Yedder and that he is such a beast. My common sense would ask then why he's just 3k right now? Guess what, he is not that good as some subjective people describe here.
So let's talk about the facts and how I (hopefully more objective) would rate him. I experienced that in this game it is very useful to have attackers/strikers with a pace in combination with dribbling (agility, balance and dribbling). The pace allows you to expose the space between the two central defenders whereas the dribbling gives you better changes in tiny spaces in the box (necessary since most of the shots are blocked then) as well as it kind of gave me the feeling this 50/50 duels (often after standing tackles) in the box are more won by players with higher dribbling.
His pace is decent with 83, but the nuance has to be made that it is 79 acceleration and 86 sprint speed. The 79 acceleration is just to low for me (you will lose a lot of sprint duels against defenders with anchor/shadow which can meet this pace stats). His finishing isn't that high either. And his agility and balance (dribbling stats) as well. I have been using him with a hunter card to satisfy my own requirements for the pace and shooting. Unfortunately, his dribbling stats still remain to low.
Regarding finishing he is then phenomenal. With his 5* weak foot and a hunter card, he scores every goal from every position and every angle inside the box. However, he still doesn't feel that pacey for me (often loses the sprint duel) and his dribbling necks him in tight areas.
I've been using him in 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-2-2-2. I experienced that with the last formation there is more width. In this case, Richarlison would have some for more space and therefore his dribbling stats would neck him less. I think that is crucial when you want to use him, you need at least some depth.
When you get him in the box in the 1vs1 with the goalkeeper he is phenomenal and he won't disappoint. However, that taken out of consideration I experienced him as a decent player. I doubt whether you still should use him in this phase of the game. You probably have more coins and the ability to look for better strikers. For example Rodrigo at ~ 10k or Jesus at ~30k.
Finishing is absolutely insane with hunter.
He is physical strong for link up play.
His dribbling is too low.
His short passing isn't that great tho.
His base card is to slow. He still feels not very pacey with hunter.
