I’m a huge Bundesliga fan, I’ve been to nearly every ground, one a year for last 16, I enjoy everything from the atmosphere to quality of football, I know everyone says the Prem is the best but week on week you compare the matches, from an entertainment perspective I think the Bundesliga has it, maybe not quality or even wealth of teams but there’s just something special in a league that’s so fan dependant and clubs being influenced by fans and the community.
i love Dortmund, I like their youth, their style and the way they get the best of and raise some top talent, you think sancho would’ve hit the heights at City? For me I’d say no. Maybe it’s the rest are weaker but even clubs like gladbach, Leipzig and Leverkusen are starting to show up the elite teams.
Delaney is a good player, he’s dependable and versatile and that’s what shines through here, he links with witsel FB has the option to swap with zakaria and move to cdm or cm or is just a damn good CB.
I did 5 games at both cb and CDM and he was good in both, he didn’t feel like he did much more noticeable at cdm but at CB he’s just a different beast, I like alaba but found him weak, Delaney has the same kinda quick movement as alaba but just stronger, the one thing is his passing and composure on the ball are priceless in this fifa.
id say the price is right but I can see it going up as it’s doubtful he will get another position change IF soon unless it’s a permanent change.
stay safe and enjoy fifa. Good luck to all
Links with fun cards like upamencano alaba klosterman and FB witsel
offers something different
passing
interceptions
swapping to cdm or cm
New option
league with most fun cbs
Nation isn’t ideal for hybrids
price for an 84 but in this case I’d say go for it
First of all, English is not my native language, so sorry for any mistake I make. I bought Delaney IF very early, about one week after he got his card and I always played him as CB, where he was quite good already. But the longer I played him, the more I recognized that he is not fast enough anymore for a CB, even with Anchor or Shadow. And a few days ago I finally bought Zakaria RTTF, who I would also recommend, and made the decision that I swap them ingame (I play 4-2-3-1). So Zakaria plays as left CB and Delaney plays as left CDM ingame. And HOLY JESUS is he good! The first game I played him as CDM he won 12/15 tackles (more than the rest of my squad together!), played 22 successful passes an had 3 assists. He is the best Bundesliga CDM I played and I nearly played every good one. I still can't believe how good he is. And he is insane at scoring headers after corners for some reason.
DISCLAIMER at the end: His stats (games, goals, assists) aren't represantative beacause i mostly played him as CB.
-Nearly everything, doesn't really have a weakness.
-Maybe pace if you play him as CB
(-Shooting, but doesn't matter, his headers are very good)
First I bought him thinking he could be an interesting invest because of his numbers (looked OP) when he went out of packs, but I am a failure as a trader and decided to give it a few tries, I mostly play LA LIGA so there aren't enough chances, squad battles, certain challenges and such, until the Coman Challenge came, so I squeeze the rest of the squad to make him a CB spot in the 77 rating squad and OH MY GAD, what a player, with anchorhe had Hwang Hee-Chans and Rashicas for breakfast like it's nothing, 6 wins in a row, the challenge went easy mostly because of him...
And turned out I had a untradable Sancho Recordbreaker that I was eager to play in WL (Good RM/RW's are such a rare thing this FIFA), so after there's no other options for RB in Dortmund yet, I set up a 4-5-1 to put both up in my La Liga squad. What a surprise! He can play RB too, changed anchor to shadow to give him a little extra pace (85 because 7 chem) and he does the job! Rarely gets outpaced due to his positioning and strenght, and when the attack cames from the other side, he appears in the box like a third central and save the day with great interceptions and clearances that doesn't end again in the rival boots (good passing).
Even certain moments require him to switch to CDM and sub in Atal or Mukiele (for super-pacey wing rivals and because Llorente IF is so good but he gets tired around 70') and still, he does the job, has a great mix of strenght, dribbling and pass for the position.
The plus? He helps a lot in corner kicks, when Benzema IF or Ramos IF are absent, he is the guy for headers and goals, LOVE IT.
For 60K-ish I think it's a no-brainer, hope this reviews helps.
Multipurpose player: CB, CDM and even LB/RB with outstanding results.
Positioning
Strenght
Stamina: 80' and still vivid green
Pass and dribbling are pretty okay
Goals in corner kicks
Speed is a problem, but not a big one.
At RB, he's not so noticeable on the attack like... Bellerin 85 or even Carvajal 86
Nation links: the options to fit him are bundesquads or with dortmund players
Delaney > Klostermann RTTF > Upamecano IF > Konate IF > other Bundesliga CBs
Try them out and I promise you. I refuse to place with Varrane and Ramos in my back 4 so I've played with all 4 of these guys in my ESP1/BUN hybrid. Delaney consistently plays mistake free with Anchor. He does get muscled a bit but ALWAYS recovers. It really feels like I am cheating at times with some of the ridiculous tackles and recoveries he makes out of nowhere.
Also important to mention his 93 Stamina! Unlinke Konate and Upamecano he will play all game!
PS: I am writing this before Klostermann's upgrade which should make him, on-paper, the best CB in the game.
I bought Delaney for 40k, after completing the Sinkgraven Objective. I put him in at LCB. Before him, I had used Aidoo, Duncan, Varane, HL Hinteregger in that position, next to 91 Hierro. But because of Delaney's Low/High workrates, he is brilliant. He's never out of position. Wins the majority of his headers, and is a strong tackler. His workrates are really his best asset though, he never gets dragged out of position. He scored 1 goal from a corner for me, but because I have TOTY Lewandowski I haven't used him too much on corners. Overall, a brilliant value for money CB, if he was 200k I would still get him. It's unfortunate that there are so few players on this game with Low/High, but that's why he stands out. He's very reliable on the ball too. For 35-45k, you will not find a better CB.
He took me from Gold 3 on average, to a Gold 1 player.
I have recently packed a tradable mid-Puskas so I decided to sell him purchase the team shown in the URL above. Thomas Delaney was not as good as his stats may suggest. He is a decent CB and an even better Cdm but unfortunately, he was not exactly what I was looking for. In the team above, I would switch Zakaria and Delaney in-game but he wasn't exactly as good as I heard from others. I have tried playing him at CB and he wasn't bad but didn't feel very good on the ball.
Decently fast and wins the ball often. Can play almost anywhere on the pitch.
Feels stiff on the ball and gives away fouls easily. Not as quick as his pace may suggest.
